Chapter 60 - The Servant Gun - Jane Powers, turn 429

Have Maxine conduct a preliminary test extraction of mithril immediately while you observe

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"A preliminary test extraction of mithril? Right now?" Maxine's eyes light up with scientific excitement, her enormous breasts bouncing as she claps her hands together. "I've been hoping for this opportunity! The portable extraction device is already calibrated for material sampling."

She hurries to a nearby workstation where a sleek silver disc with pulsing blue concentric rings sits. Her fingers dance across the control panel as she enters coordinates.

"Targeting the mines of Moria during the Second Age," she explains breathlessly. "We'll get pristine samples without dealing with that nasty Balrog situation."

The device activates with a low hum, its central ring brightening until a dinner plate-sized portal appears. Through the shimmering aperture, you glimpse dark stone walls veined with gleaming blue-silver.

"Perfect alignment!" Maxine gasps, deploying an articulated extraction arm. "Watch closely, Divine Mother."

The mechanical appendage extends through the portal, carefully chiseling away a small fragment of the glittering metal. When it withdraws, the portal closes with a gentle whisper, leaving a beautiful nugget in the collection tray.

"Success!" Maxine lifts the sample reverently. "Approximately 37 grams of genuine mithril. It's even more spectacular than described in fiction."

The metal captures and enhances light with an ethereal radiance. Despite its brilliance, it feels surprisingly lightweight when Maxine places it in your palm.

"We should test its properties immediately," you decide, pocketing the nugget. "Let's visit our Minecraft operation."

Maxine nods enthusiastically and leads you to the dimensional transit chamber where a permanent portal stands – a rectangular doorway filled with swirling green-blue energy, stabilized by four humming quantum anchors.

"The stable portal is fully operational," she explains, checking readings on a nearby console. "It maintains a permanent connection to our Minecraft base without neural interfaces."

You step through the portal together, experiencing a brief sensation of cool liquid washing over your skin. Suddenly, you're standing in the pristine skyblock facility – a massive floating complex of automated farms and processing systems rendered in the distinctive blocky aesthetic of Minecraft.

"The Mystical Agriculture test beds are this way," Maxine says, her blocky avatar still maintaining impressive proportions despite the environment's limitations.

You follow her to a glass dome housing rows of glowing crops – diamond essence shimmering blue, emerald essence pulsing green.

"For proper seed creation, we'll need more material," Maxine explains, examining the mithril nugget. "At least three additional extractions."

You authorize immediate retrieval. After several more portal operations, four mithril nuggets sit on the analysis table. Maxine processes them through specialized crafting stations, eventually producing a single luminescent seed.

"Moment of truth," she says, planting it in specially prepared soil.

You watch as the seed rapidly germinates into a crystalline plant with metallic blue-silver leaves. When mature, Maxine harvests it, yielding eight mithril essence components.

"It worked perfectly!" she exclaims. "The essence converts directly back to pure mithril, and we get additional seeds! We've created infinite mithril production!"

You immediately grasp the implications. "Cortana," you call.

A holographic blue woman materializes, her impossible curves somehow perfectly rendered despite the blocky environment. "How may I serve, Divine Mother?"

"Cancel all Middle Earth conquest plans immediately."

Cortana tilts her head. "The operational plan was 78% complete. May I inquire why?"

"We only wanted their elves and mithril," you explain. "With unlimited mithril production, we need only extract select elven specimens rather than conquering their dimension. This avoids unnecessary conflict with their gods."

"The Valar?" Maxine asks.

"Yes. While significantly weaker than Kaguya, engaging them serves no purpose. And most individuals there are male, with few interesting females like Galadriel. No point mass-transforming their population."

Cortana nods, her form shimmering as she updates records. "Switching to targeted extraction protocol. Shall I identify suitable elven candidates?"

"Focus on Lothlorien and Rivendell," you command, watching mithril crops multiply before you. "And prepare a special transformation template for Galadriel."

Maxine caresses the glowing plants, her scientific hunger evident. "This opens incredible possibilities for other fictional materials – vibranium, kryptonite, adamantium..."

"Begin cataloguing extraction candidates immediately," you order, already envisioning your expanding arsenal of miraculous materials.
