The next morning, Andrew and Scarlett each packed their suitcases, preparing to leave.
Janet saw this but didn't try to make them stay. She understood why Scarlett was leaving after only two nights, and she was already satisfied that Scarlett had come to see her.
"Grandmother, we're leaving. You can call me whenever you're free."
"Mm, stay safe on the road and have fun. Little Drew, come visit the capital more often in the future."
Andrew also waved goodbye. "Goodbye, Grandma."
Janet watched the two leave, feeling a bit reluctant to see them go, but mostly relieved and happy.
Not long after Scarlett and Andrew left, Rockson returned carrying a bag of fertile soil.
Seeing the empty master bedroom, Rockson couldn't help but ask, "Did Little Scar and the boy leave so early?"
"There's nothing for those two kids to do staying here. It's good for them to go out and play together."
