Scarlett shook her head. "I don't seem very hungry. I don't really want to eat."
"Watch some TV with me. It's boring watching alone."
As Scarlett spoke, she wiggled inward like a caterpillar wrapped in a quilt, making room for Andrew.
Andrew kicked off his slippers and lay on the bed to watch animation with Scarlett.
"Scar, did you watch these kinds of cartoons when you were little? I don't think I've ever seen you watch things like Barbie."
Andrew noticed that most of the animations Scarlett watched were the ones boys like him watched as kids, like Ben 10, Pokémon, Rainbow Cat and Blue Rabbit, and now Jackie Chan Adventures.
Recalling what Starly had told him about how fierce Professor Scarlett was as a child, Andrew figured it might have something to do with watching these cartoons.
"Barbie isn't good. These are better. Look at how cool Jackie Chan is, running up walls and leaping over roofs."
