The Worst Type of Being

… across the distant future of the lily's destiny …

"XUAN ZICHUANG!" I called out in a loud screech, unable to move my body properly from the soiled ground.

I saw his frail and bloodied body falling fast from the bright blue sky above, where my own immobile body is. I tried my best to see if I could conjure up any strength or power left inside my body. I had already exhausted every possible option to try to help Zi defeat that man.

ZiChuang, my comrade, had always been so set on trying to bring back the calamity's memories. Indeed, it was an incredibly foolish plan, but I continued to stay with him and try to achieve his goal together.

Even to the point of causing hundreds upon thousands of time loops.

We probably should've tried escaping Earth 2038 as the rest of humanity did, but either way, the calamity could've killed us without even trying. All portals and extreme technology for escape were disabled during a calamity event. I suppose we have to thank our dear system Neo for that, but then again, all rules for events apply to every planet across the cosmos.

It's not like we could've even stopped him, Agrais, from destroying the Earth. Not even his own brother could bring back his memories, even when he died over and over again. Agrais, one of the top ten strongest interstellar resonators amongst the entire cosmos, completed the calamity event of destroying Earth 2038 for 5,049 times. This is the 5,050th time loop, and yet it still failed.

Incredible, well done, Agrais, for being the worst type of being alive! I angrily thought to myself, becoming even more frustrated about how there was virtually nothing I could do to stop the calamity.

Hatred isn't a strong enough word for how I feel for this man. At the very start of the time loop, I respected him because of ZiChuang's convincing words. But now…

Why won't you just die?

Just die already!

Agrais jumped down from the sky, golden shining chains swirling all around him, complementing his pale skin and golden hair. His disgusting blue eyes burned into ZiChuang's, pulling him into a tightening grip. Chains sprouted all over Zi's body, the crimson streaming down from the boy's body. Zi's black hair fell as limp as the rest of his body, sickenly sticking to his bloodied face. Agrais started to whisper words into ZiChuang's ear, most likely mocking the 15-year-old boy for even trying to defeat a top ten.

You bully! He's only 15! You, on the other hand, are 20 years old! What's the point of taunting a high schooler?

"GET AWAY FROM HIM!"

ZiChuang is going to die. And this time, there was going to be no second chance.

My vision blurred from the ground up. There's virtually nothing I could do to stop Agaris' rampage and Zi's death.
