Keifer's PoV
Keifer: How do you want your dream wedding to be?"
She thought before answering and she started smiling and giggling
Keifer: "What?" I asked her back with a smile,
Jay: "Okay I will tell you, but I will not take any judgments or criticism."
Keifer: "Okay." I said putting my hands up,
Jay: " Well, the first thing is the first look."
Keifer: "Ahhn?"
Jay: "The first look when I walk down the aisle towards the love of my life, the look on his face is the first thing, I think that moment will etched in my heart."
Keifer: "You mean the anticipation of seeing you, how you are going to look and how is the reaction going to be."
Jay: "Exactly, I mean his future wife is walking towards him, he better have a good reaction and maybe even happy tears seeing how beautiful I am."
Keifer: "I will." I blurted with a smile,
Jay: "Ahn?"
Keifer: "I mean your husband will." Then she smiled,
Keifer: "You are weird."
Jay: "What?"
Keifer: "I mean you run an event organisation company but you keep talking about something else when I ask you about the wedding."
Jay: "I am not weird and I have done many wedding and all of them were beautiful in their own different way but you know what stayed the same the love." She said and all I could think of was her,
Jay: "I know love doing these things, planning, arranging and organising but I think, I love love, you know how beautiful, when they both see each other for the first time in the aisle and maybe get the sudden realisation, that they are going to spend their lifetime with that one person. because at that moment you don't care about the decorations, the lights, the food or anything else but just that person in front you"
Just as she was speaking about this, I kept imagining her walking down the aisle towards me where I wait for her and she is the moat beautiful woman I have ever seen and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with her
Keifer: "I didn't know but it is really beautiful the way you described it, I never really thought about it that way"
Jay: "Well, I did too many wedding to not to know about this" She said with a smile,
then I remembered something,
Keifer: "Jay why do you have your assistant as your emergency contact and not any family members?"
her face turned different as soon as I said that,
Jay: "Ahnn well my family aren't here, so"
Keifer: "You know what, just put me as your emergency contact"
Jay: "Of course, I have to put you since you are my husband" she said back with sarcasm,
I chuckled but it actually felt nice after she called me her husband especially after the wedding talk, it also made me blush a little,
Keifer: "I wanted to know, if you want me to call you family and let them know about your condition"
Jay: "No, No Its fine"
Keifer: "Are you sure?"
I asked and she just nodded but not in a convincing way, so I just called her again,
Keifer: "Jay"
Jay: "What ? my parents are in New York and I don't want to disturb them"
Keifer: "You mean you don't want to tell your parents that you just survived an accident"
Jay: "They are busy I don't want them to worry"
Keifer: "Jay."
Jay: "I don't want to talk about this please."
She said which I didn't expect, because I have never seen Jay shy away from a topic, then I understood it must be sensitive,
Keifer: "Okay, do you want to rest?"
She nodded her head and I went towards her and helped her settle and covered her with blanket,
Keifer: "Sleep well and I am right here on the couch, call for me If you need anything"
Jay: "Why are you sleeping on the couch, It's fine go to your room, I can manage"
Keifer: "I am not leaving you alone and I am not taking any risks and no more discussions about this now, sleep Okay?"
I said and she rested her head and nodded,
Then I went to couch and settled and I finally felt some peace after all the incident that took place in the last 24 hours, the accident, the blood, my fear, trauma and my realisation of love for her, I mean my world completely changed in the last 24 hours,
Months ago I didn't know this girl, now I cry when I thought I almost lost her, I can never put myself in that situation again, I don't how I handled it.
I was getting comfortable in the couch along with the thoughts and slowly drifted to sleep, and then in the middle I woke up because I heard something fell,
I got up immediately with a panic,
Keifer: "Jay are you okay" I went towards her,
Jay: "Yeah, I am fine I just wanted water"
Keifer: "I told you to call me right, if you need anything"
Jay: "But it was just water" she shouted and I was taken aback when she said that,
Keifer: "Jay, are you okay?"
she let out a breathe,
Jay: "Sorry, sorry"
Keifer: "Its okay, just call me if you need anything"
she nodded and I turned back to my couch, when she called me again,
Jay: "Keifer"
I looked at her,
Jay: "You asked me right why I didn't want to call my parents"
I did not respond I just looked at her and sat beside her because I know she has to talk and get it out whatever she had in her mind,
Jay: "What I am going to say might sound silly too, especially since you were an only child," she said with a chuckle but I sensed the pain in her voice
am the youngest child to my parents, I have an older brother, he is like this amazing human on this planet and my parents they adore him and love him so much"
Keifer: "So you don't like your brother"
Jay: "No, I love him, like he is truly an inspiration for me but I always feel he set a bar so high, sometime I think I am not able to match, like I am not allowed to fall because he never did and that is great but I am not like him"
Keifer: "Does your parent ask you to be like him"
Jay: "They don't but I can sense it sometimes, you know even if I do something it doesn't feel like I have accomplished something, It just that something I always had to do and my parents they say they are happy about and proud of me too but I think they have already seen and felt it with my brother, so they are just doing it for me, I don't want to ever feel weak in front of them, So I just go to them only if I have good news, that's why I asked you not to call them, But I know my parents love me but sometimes it's just"
Keifer: "Are you serious? When I first got to know about you, I was like how the hell does this woman get everything done and I was really impressed and even today you said you will take of the wedding planning of them after being met with an accident and not even 24 hours has passed and also sometime parents they don't know sometimes how to express their feelings and I know they will love you for you and not for the work you do. But sometimes they do forget it. And I have to say this thank god I got a partnership with you because I know it will be difficult If you were my opponent like seriously, you never take a break."
She just chuckles and smile,
Keifer: "And let me tell you something, I am proud of you, like not just for whatever you build, the business etc but for the person you are, I am proud of that"
I saw tears stagnant in her eyes, I did not even see them, when she got into an accident, I wiped her tears and hugged her lightly to make sure not to hurt her wounds.
She laid her head in my stomach, I held her head gently and slowly patted and rubbed her hair and giving her the space to feel thing she needed too.
She moved a little and Pulled away but her hands were still holding my shirt, I don't know what happened but when she looked at, she smiled at me with tears in her eyes,
I couldn't stop myself and I held her face and bent down and she closed her eyes still clutching my shirt and I placed a soft kiss on her forehead.
After that I looked her and gave her a smile.
Keifer: "Good night."
