Chapter 49 - Chapter 49 – The Auror at the Front Door

Early the next morning, Sean dragged himself out of bed with massive dark circles beneath his eyes.

He looked utterly lifeless.

After spending the entire night mourning his terrible luck and accidental acquisition of the Cruciatus Curse, Sean now resembled someone who had personally suffered through Azkaban.

The moment he walked downstairs into the tavern, Hart immediately stood and bowed respectfully.

"Good morning, Master Sean."

Sean waved weakly.

"Stop calling me Master Sean."

His voice sounded hoarse and exhausted.

"From now on, call me the Unluckiest Man Alive."

Hart froze completely.

"…What?"

Sean ignored him entirely and continued walking toward the Cosmetic Magic Hospital.

Hart stood there blankly for several seconds before finally hurrying after him on his short legs.

Meanwhile, upstairs in the inn—

Willow also stepped out of her room.

Unlike Sean's near-death appearance, she looked surprisingly energetic today.

The moment she reached the stairs, she clenched her small fist confidently.

"I'm definitely finding him today."

Her determination looked adorable.

Willow walked downstairs and sat at the counter.

"Ms. Rosmerta, could I get some breakfast please?"

Behind the bar, Madam Rosmerta absentmindedly handed her a plate while continuing to stare at the Daily Prophet spread open before her.

"Oh Merlin…"

Rosmerta sighed dramatically.

"It's unbelievable. Magical cosmetic surgery that permanently changes appearances…"

She looked genuinely depressed.

"If it wasn't so ridiculously expensive, I'd already be standing outside that hospital myself."

Willow originally wasn't paying much attention.

But then—

—her eyes accidentally landed on the enormous front-page photograph in the newspaper.

The moment she saw the handsome silver-haired young wizard smiling elegantly on the front page—

Willow nearly stopped breathing.

"Ms. Rosmerta!"

She immediately pointed at the newspaper.

"Him! Who is he?!"

Rosmerta glanced down casually before instantly understanding.

"Oh, him."

She grinned knowingly.

"That's Sean Sebastian. The mysterious general manager behind Gringotts."

Then she added casually:

"He actually just left here a little while ago."

"What?!"

Willow nearly jumped off her stool.

Rosmerta immediately smirked mischievously.

"What's this?"

"Did our little Auror fall for a rich handsome wizard already?"

Willow's face instantly turned scarlet.

"No!"

She waved both hands frantically.

"He saved my life yesterday! I just… I think I should thank him personally."

"Oho~"

Rosmerta stretched the sound dramatically.

"The classic hero-saves-the-beauty story."

She sighed theatrically.

"A timeless romance."

The surrounding customers immediately laughed warmly.

Willow's face became even redder.

"Go on, girl," Rosmerta teased. "Though you might have a lot of competition."

Willow blinked in confusion before instinctively looking outside the tavern windows.

Then she froze.

The entire street outside was packed.

Completely packed.

Countless witches and wizards crowded around the Cosmetic Magic Hospital entrance while broomsticks flew overhead despite Hogsmeade's no-flying rules.

And most terrifying of all—

—the witches were screaming Sean's name.

"SEAN SEBASTIAN!"

"LOOK OVER HERE!"

"PLEASE ACCEPT MY APPOINTMENT!"

Willow swallowed nervously.

These women looked terrifying.

Still, after several seconds of hesitation, she stood up firmly.

"No matter what…"

"I still need to thank him myself."

After paying for breakfast, Willow took a deep breath and walked outside.

The moment she saw the overwhelming crowd up close, however…

…her confidence dropped immediately.

"This is impossible…"

People shoved and squeezed constantly.

"Move!"

"I'm here to see Sean Sebastian too!"

"Stop pushing!"

Willow stared blankly for several seconds.

Then suddenly, she pulled out her Auror identification badge.

"Step aside!"

She raised it high above her head.

"Auror coming through!"

The effect was immediate.

Ordinary witches and wizards instinctively backed away slightly.

Within moments, Willow successfully squeezed all the way toward the front rows.

Unfortunately…

…the people standing there were mostly wealthy pure-bloods and influential families.

And unlike ordinary civilians—

—they absolutely did not care about Aurors.

Willow quickly realized her badge had lost all usefulness now.

So in the end, she could only stand obediently in line like everyone else.

Meanwhile, inside the hospital—

Hart led a middle-aged wizard in a white coat toward Sean.

"Master Sean."

"This is Jack, the Healer studying cosmetic reconstruction under us."

Hart then turned toward the Healer.

"And this is the true general manager of Gringotts, Sean Sebastian."

Jack immediately stepped forward excitedly and shook Sean's hand firmly.

"Mr. Sebastian!"

His eyes practically glowed with admiration.

"It's an honour to meet you. Your magical reconstruction techniques are unbelievably precise."

Sean nodded absentmindedly.

"Mm."

"Watch carefully today."

Honestly, Sean barely remembered the man's name already.

Because in Britain, if ten random men walked into a room—

—at least eight of them were probably named Jack.

Hart quickly continued the conversation before awkward silence formed.

"Master Sean, we have many scheduled clients today."

"We should begin operations immediately."

Sean nodded.

Without wasting time, he led Jack directly into the operating theatre.

"Watch closely."

Sean adjusted his gloves calmly while speaking.

"You've already learned most of the theory."

"I'll demonstrate once more. After that, you'll perform the next surgery personally while I supervise."

Jack nodded eagerly.

The operation began immediately.

Sean explained every step calmly while simultaneously performing precise magical reconstruction on the patient lying on the bed.

Normally, a surgery required around thirty minutes.

Sean only needed ten.

By the end, Jack looked completely stunned.

The gap between them was honestly horrifying.

Sean stepped back casually.

"Your turn."

As the morning continued, Jack gradually became more skilled under Sean's guidance.

Meanwhile, bored out of his mind, Sean eventually glanced upward toward the audience observation area above the operating room.

The surgery theatre used transparent enchanted glass.

Unless patients specifically requested privacy, visitors in the main hall could watch operations freely.

And naturally—

—the surgeons could also see the audience outside.

At that exact moment, Sean spotted a familiar short-haired girl standing among the crowd.

Willow.

The Auror from last night.

Sean's entire body instantly stiffened.

"…No way."

His expression changed dramatically.

"Why are Aurors here already?"

Sean immediately panicked internally.

"Did the Ministry trace last night's incident back to me?"

"Are they here to arrest me?!"

The more Sean thought about it, the more terrified he became.

Without hesitation, he immediately ducked behind one of the nurses and quietly slipped out of the operating room like a guilty criminal escaping a murder scene.

"Hart!"

Sean burst into the office in panic.

"HART!"

The goblin nearly fell out of his chair from fright while counting Galleons.

"Master Sean?! What happened?!"

Obviously, Sean couldn't exactly say:

I committed triple homicide yesterday and now an Auror is outside.

So instead, he forced himself to remain calm.

"I suddenly remembered I have important matters at Hogwarts."

Sean grabbed his coat immediately.

"I need to return to school first."

Then he pointed toward the operating room.

"Jack's capable of working independently now."

Sean lowered his voice seriously.

"And don't contact me for a while."
