Chapter 56 - Chapter 56 – The Half-Blood Prince’s Notes

Sean looked completely indifferent.

"Forget that for now."

Then he frowned slightly.

"So why exactly can't I cast a Patronus?"

Snape's expression suddenly became complicated.

There was even a trace of resentment in his eyes.

After a long pause, he finally answered coldly:

"You cannot successfully cast a Patronus merely by waving your wand at empty air."

"You need a Boggart."

"Preferably one transformed into a Dementor."

Snape took another slow sip of water.

"Unfortunately, Hogwarts currently doesn't have one available."

Then he waved dismissively toward the door.

"So solve the problem yourself."

Clearly, the conversation was over.

Sean pouted unhappily before leaving Snape's office.

After getting kicked out, Sean wandered through Hogwarts corridors absentmindedly.

Over the past half month, he had explored almost the entire castle thoroughly.

At this point, Sean knew Hogwarts nearly as well as the ghosts did.

Yet despite all that searching…

…he still hadn't found what he truly wanted.

Just as Sean turned another corner, Hermione, Harry, and Ron happened to walk toward him from the opposite direction.

Hermione looked slightly helpless.

"Sean."

"I keep seeing you wandering around the castle lately."

Sean nodded distractedly.

"I'm looking for something."

Then he sighed.

"But I've searched almost everywhere already."

Hermione thought for a moment before answering casually:

"Then maybe try somewhere you haven't searched yet?"

After saying that, she simply continued walking away with Harry and Ron.

Sean suddenly froze.

"…Somewhere I haven't searched?"

Slowly, he lifted his head.

Then his eyes locked directly onto the forbidden corridor on the third floor.

"…Right."

"There's only one place left."

After speaking quietly to himself, Sean immediately climbed the staircase toward the third floor.

Truthfully, Sean originally had no intention of coming here before the main story began.

Dumbledore's traps were dangerous enough already.

And Sean absolutely didn't trust that old manipulative Headmaster.

Still…

…this was the final unexplored location inside Hogwarts.

Taking a deep breath, Sean pushed open the forbidden corridor door carefully.

The moment it opened, dust rained down everywhere.

Sean waved his hand lightly to clear the air before walking forward.

As his footsteps echoed through the darkness, ancient wall torches ignited one after another automatically, illuminating the corridor ahead.

After several steps—

Sean suddenly stopped.

Then he smiled.

"I thought I'd run into Fluffy first."

"But apparently you're here instead."

Directly before him stood an old classroom door.

A faded sign hung above it.

POTIONS CLASSROOM NO. 1

Sean's eyes instantly brightened.

From the very beginning…

…this was what he'd truly been searching for.

Without hesitation, Sean pushed the classroom door open and stepped inside.

The room looked even darker than the corridor outside.

"Lumos."

Light bloomed from the tip of Sean's wand, illuminating the abandoned classroom slowly.

Then Sean immediately spotted it.

A dusty bookshelf hidden at the back wall.

"That's it."

Sean's heartbeat accelerated slightly.

"If it follows the original timeline…"

"…then the notebook should be here."

Without wasting another second, Sean rushed toward the shelves and began searching frantically.

Ancient potion textbooks filled the cabinets completely.

Most looked decades old.

Sean grabbed one immediately and flipped through it rapidly.

Nothing.

"Nope."

He grabbed another.

Still nothing.

Then another.

And another.

Finally—

Sean opened the final book.

The moment he flipped to the first page, several words appeared clearly before him.

This Book Belongs to the Half-Blood Prince

Sean's eyes instantly lit up.

Then he smiled brightly.

"Sorry."

He gently closed the book.

"It belongs to Sean now."

Without lingering another moment, Sean shoved the book into his robes before quietly returning toward the Slytherin dormitory.

Inside the common room, one of Sean's clones already sat calmly reading on the sofa.

Because the clone ability absolutely could not be exposed, Sean had forced every Slytherin student to swear an Unbreakable Vow regarding the secret.

By now, the little snakes were completely used to seeing multiple Seans around simultaneously.

Nobody reacted anymore.

After entering the training room, Sean immediately sat down and carefully opened the Half-Blood Prince's notebook.

The moment he began reading—

Sean's eyes slowly widened.

Potion modifications.

Spell structures.

Improved brewing techniques.

Every page contained genius-level experimentation notes.

And eventually—

Sean found what he wanted most.

Sectumsempra.

Sean carefully memorized every detail written beside the spell.

Then he slowly stood up and raised his wand.

"You need hatred…"

"A desire to hurt someone…"

For some reason, Filch's face suddenly appeared in Sean's mind.

Instantly, a nameless irritation rose inside him.

Sean pointed his wand toward a dead tree in the distance.

"SECTUMSEMPRA!"

CRACK.

BOOM.

The enormous dead tree split apart instantly before collapsing violently to the ground.

The movement immediately attracted everyone's attention.

Several Slytherins currently training inside challenge stages got distracted and were promptly killed by dark wizards before being thrown out of the system space miserably.

Sean nodded in satisfaction.

"The power's stronger than expected."

Then his expression slowly became thoughtful.

"But Snape was right."

"With magic amplifying emotions…"

"…it's dangerously easy to sink into hatred."

Sean stretched lazily afterward.

Originally, he planned to challenge the second stage immediately today.

But after obtaining Sectumsempra, Sean suddenly changed his mind.

Instead, he decided to relax for the evening and continue studying Snape's notes properly.

After all, every page represented years of painstaking experimentation by one of the greatest potion masters alive.

"Prefect."

Malfoy's voice suddenly pulled Sean back to reality.

"Want to head to dinner together?"

Sean closed the notebook calmly and nodded.

"Sure."

The Hogwarts feast remained as extravagant as ever.

And just as flavourless.

Sean chewed mechanically while staring blankly into space.

The food honestly tasted like wax.

Suddenly—

—the Great Hall doors slammed open violently.

Professor Quirrell stumbled inside looking utterly terrified.

"T-Trolls!"

He pointed frantically toward the lower corridors.

"There are trolls in the school!"

"They're in the dungeons—I thought everyone should know—"

Before finishing the sentence, Quirrell collapsed dramatically onto the floor unconscious.

Instant chaos exploded throughout the hall.

Students screamed and scrambled in every direction.

"QUIET!"

Professor Dumbledore's amplified voice thundered across the Great Hall instantly.

The entire hall froze.

"Prefects will escort students back to their dormitories in an orderly fashion."

"Please remain calm."
