Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: The Grand Audit of Souls

The Aegis Corp Global Shareholders' Meeting was being held in the "Diamond Hall," a room so opulent the air felt like it was filtered through gold dust. Over five hundred of the world's most powerful investors sat in velvet chairs, oblivious to the fact that their CEO had nearly crashed a helicopter into a construction site three hours ago.

CEO Park stood at the podium, his face pale and caked in enough concealer to hide the bruises from his "rough landing." He adjusted his microphone, his hands trembling.

"Ladies and gentlemen," Park croaked. "Despite recent... rumors of internal instability, Aegis Corp remains the gold standard of security. Our profits are up by—"

"Actually," a voice boomed from the back of the hall, "your profits are currently sitting in a Cayman Islands shell company under the name 'Rubber Ducky Investments.'"

The room went deathly silent. Every head turned.

Min-jun walked down the center aisle. He wasn't wearing his laundry uniform or a tactical suit. He was wearing a bespoke, midnight-blue tuxedo that made him look like a young god of commerce. Behind him, looking incredibly uncomfortable in a tuxedo three sizes too small, was Old Man Kang, who was loudly eating a bag of shrimp crackers.

"Security! Remove this man!" Park screamed, his voice hitting a glass-shattering octave.

Ten guards rushed toward Min-jun. Without breaking his stride, Min-jun reached into his pocket and tossed a handful of shiny, round objects onto the floor.

Clatter-clatter-clatter.

"Custom-made 'Suds-Slicks,'" Min-jun whispered.

The guards, moving at full speed, hit the floor and immediately lost all friction. They slid across the polished marble like Olympic curlers, crashing into the buffet table in a magnificent explosion of shrimp cocktail and expensive champagne.

Min-jun reached the podium and calmly tapped the CEO on the shoulder. "Move. You're blocking the light."

He plugged a small, glowing drive—one of the 'Ghost Files'—into the main terminal. The massive 8K screens behind the podium flickered. Instead of profit margins, they showed a high-definition video of CEO Park and Choi in the CEO's office, laughing as they signed the documents to frame Min-jun.

"The kid is a doormat," Park's voice echoed through the hall. "He'll be in prison before he even realizes he's been used. Elena, make sure the police get the 'evidence' tomorrow."

The shareholders gasped. Elena, sitting in the front row, closed her eyes. The shame was a physical weight, but she didn't look away.

"That's not all," Min-jun said, turning to the audience. "This man didn't just frame an intern. He's been selling your personal data to the 'Shadow Syndicate' for years. Every secret you thought Aegis was protecting? It's been on the dark web for $5.99 a download."

The hall erupted into a riot of shouting and falling chairs. CEO Park collapsed to his knees, his eyes darting toward the exit.

"You can't do this!" Park blubbered. "Who do you think you are?"

Min-jun leaned down, his face inches from the man who had tried to ruin him. He reached into his tuxedo and pulled out a small, laminated card: Sparkle & Spin Employee of the Month.

"I'm the guy who knows how to get the blood out of the carpet," Min-jun said, his voice cold as a winter grave. "And today, the carpet is you."
