Within one of the many zones along the sundered Adrazenith, was a place called Stella. It's a place of quiet beauty, where the air carries the scent of freshly turned cosmic soil, mingling with the ethereal warmth of a perpetual collapsing star overhead. Fields of golden crops stretch endlessly, swaying in harmony from a source of light that sweeps through the sky like winds that pass through the valley.
Amidst this farmland, a massive, thick-boned frame, built like a Sun bear, dominated the creature's silhouette. Every inch of its body was covered in dense snow-white fur, like a curled cloud thick enough to carry the weight of winter. As it walks across the cosmic soil of the Stella, its heavy paws and obsidian like claws make a distinct thumping with each stomp. Extending from its rear is a long, skunk-like tail that slinks and curves behind it as it moves. The tail is uniquely lined with white feathers along its length, creating a feathered rudder . Sprouting from the creature's broad back are two large, looming pairs of wings covered in pristine white feathers, much like the traditional Pegasus that roam the farm. However, the feathers are scaled up to support the creature's immense weight. These wings, when resting, often drape over its sides like a heavy cloak. They are the Surnsine, their pristine coats shimmering under the eternal twilight of Adrazenith's fractured skies, as they Shepard Pegasus and other creatures that roam the fields.
The land itself possesses an almost crystalline quality, with a translucent soil that glows faintly in the darker patches of the farm. This peculiar terrain results from the dimensional fractures left behind by the Great Sundering, where the energy of the long-gone Beos and its divided halves still lingers.
A young bayoe boy (around 11 years old by Adrazenith time), stands at 5 and a half feet tall, his slightly tan skin contrasting with the nearby white-furred Surnsine, his uniquely elongated ears, adorned with small golden halo rings that chime softly as he moves. His attire, a lightweight white and gold chest plate fit for an Elite Guardsman, is layered over a tattered white cloak that flows behind him like a battle-worn relic of his station. His armored pants, crafted with an intricate fusion of fabric and plated metal, provide both flexibility and durability. A long golden belt wraps around his waist, securing a bladeless hilt at his side. His ethereal blue irises shine against stark white sclera, with abyssal black pupils that hold a depth of curiosity. His long blue hair, untamed yet meticulously tied into a spiked ponytail, ripples in the air as he moves. His shin guards extend into Barestride Greaves, footwear that leaves the balls and heels of his feet exposed, preserving the sacred Beos tradition of grounding oneself to the energy of their home world.
The child's mind is ablaze with questions, leading him deeper into the zone of Stella, in search of a fellow bayoe who seems to have vanished. As he strides deeper into the farmland, the balls and heels of his feet press into the crystalline soil, leaving faintly glowing imprints that quickly fade behind him. His Elite white cloak billows slightly, catching the golden breeze as he scans the vast fields before him.
The sound of rustling crops and the distant neighing of Pegasi are interrupted by a sudden shift in the air. A powerful gust of wind kicks up a cloud of shimmering dust in his path. Then, with a loud, ground shattering thud, a dark blur drops from above. A figure obscured by the collapsing stars' blinding light crashes into the ground atop a galloping Pegasus with the effortless grace of a seasoned warrior. The creature rears slightly, its luminous hooves striking the crystalline soil, sending shards of light scattering into the wind.
The rider, a young girl (no older than 10 in Adrazenith time) sits upon her steed. Her wild black hair whipping in the wind, while draped in a sleeveless wrap-around tunic made from a hemp-like star-scattered fabric. The clothes were light grey and mildly dusty from constant farm work. Her loose, billowing Hakama-style pants were also covered in a grey cosmic soil. She wore no shoes, so her pants were tapered at her ankles and held up by a long golden rope tied around her waist , a makeshift belt shimmering with what looked like star dust. Her expression was consumed with a fierce determination, her eyes burned with open hostility as she stared at the boy, locking onto him as if she had been waiting for this moment.
The silence between them stretches, thick with unspoken tension. The girl's grip tightens on the reins, and the Pegasus beneath her shifts uneasily, its wings twitching as though sensing an impending storm.
"So, Hekka you want, stranger,"
Said the young girl brutishly. Her tone was high-pitched, but still intense. The boy, shocked by such an informal greeting, blinked twice before giving a quick response.
" Names Nivk Feyrirose,"
He said, shifting his chest plate lightly on his armor. A shimmering beam of light flicks off a badge near his shoulder as he grabs and removes it.
"I'm a soldier of the Elite unit guard, brigade line E435,"
Nivk explained to the girl, holding up the badge so she could see, his facial expression a mix of battle ready solider and boy scout like Merit patch collector.
However, the girl was unamused, her expression unchanged, her posture still tense and ready to strike.
"Nuh uh,"
She'd respond with a deadpan facial expression, the answer simple and direct, as childish as it was. Then her nose seemed to scrunch in distaste.
"You guys show up at sunrise, midday, dusk. It never stops! And you!!!"
She leans down a bit from her stead, jabbing a finger into him, her hands and wrist covered in some sort of black cloth wrapping
"CAME TO BOTHER MY OLDER SISTER DIDN'T YOU!"
Nivk was stunned. He awkwardly re-clasped his badge to his armor and ran his hand along the back of his neck. He wasn't sure what was more annoying, the accusation or the fact that she really said: "Nuh Uh."
"Okay, first off,"
He said, tone flat.
" I'm not even sure who your sister is, so how could I come here for her?"
Nivk responded firmly, adjusting his posture a bit, as he slowly began striding up to the girl, still sat on her steed.
"Second, it's extremely rude to respond to a member of our planet's militia force with NUH UH,"He chastised, then when Nivk finally stood in front of the girl and her steed, he closed his eyes, took a moment to focus deeply and upon reopening them said.
" AND FINALLY, STANDING ATOP A PEGASUS DOESN'T STOP YOU FROM LOOKING LIKE A ZORK,"
And with that, the young girl's eyes narrowed, a small scowl forming along her expression.
Nivk hesitated. Maybe he had gone to far. I mean, she was only a Decapremai. Just some farm worker who spent their days either traveling space to gather the prayers of creatures suffering, only to then report back to elites, or raise livestock and crops out here.
Suddenly, the girl's scowl deepened.
"Did you just call me a Zork, You Bummy faced Poozer."
She'd snapped back, then with a flick of her wrist, she yanked the reins, making her Pegasus shoot upward into the sky like a bolt of lightning, her small frame disappearing in a blur of motion. Before Nivk could even react, she reappeared behind him, dropping from the sky and slamming into the ground.
"Since you wanna lie about being on the elite guard so bad."
The girl reigns in both her hands, closing them into a fist, her knuckles beginning to clench tightly, her feet planted into the ground firmly as her stance shifts with the change of her tone and demeanor.
" Then you should have no problem fighting a Decapremai like me,"
