Chapter 1

One Piece: Starting with the Sharingan

Sea Calendar 1509!

Eleven years had passed since the public execution of the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger.

Fame, wealth, power — the man who once possessed everything in the world left behind a single sentence before his death that drove people across the globe to the seas:

"You want my treasure? You can have it if you want! Go find it! I left everything I own in one place!"

Thus, the Great Pirate Era began. People set sail one after another, heading into the Grand Line in search of the legendary One Piece and the title of Pirate King.

East Blue!

The weakest of the four seas, yet also the calmest.

After the start of the Great Pirate Era, people from every ocean rushed into the Grand Line to chase the dream of becoming Pirate King. However, the East Blue — once the birthplace of many powerful figures including Roger — gradually turned into a backwater. The Grand Line earned its fearsome reputation as the "Pirates' Graveyard," and fewer and fewer pirates from the East Blue could even enter it.

On one of the countless islands scattered across the East Blue, there was a small, peaceful village. Life there was quiet and tranquil.

But yesterday, a "demon" arrived in the village, throwing everything into chaos. The entire village — men, women, young and old — banded together to capture this little devil, parade him through the streets, and drown him in a pig cage.

"Where did he go? He disappeared again!"

"That blood-eyed demon kid — where the hell did he run off to?"

"Search carefully! He must be nearby. If we let that monster escape, our whole village will suffer!"

"Don't worry, Village Chief. That guy won't get away. Your health isn't good — you should go back and rest first…"

...

As the chaotic footsteps gradually faded into the distance, the figure hiding on the roof eaves slowly let out a breath of relief.

He raised his head slightly. A pair of eerie, blood-red eyes revealed themselves. In the dark alley with no moonlight, they looked especially sinister — like the eyes of a demon that had crawled straight out of hell, coldly scanning the human world.

Those blood-red eyes flickered faintly. Upon closer inspection, besides the black pupil in the center, there was a single black tomoe spinning slowly around it. This made the already terrifying eyes even more horrifying.

Chen Tian reached up and touched his blood-red eyes.

No… they should be called Sharingan!

As someone who had watched Naruto countless times, he was extremely familiar with the Sharingan — one of the Three Great Dojutsu. He recognized it the moment he saw it.

Why had his eyes turned into the Sharingan from Naruto?

The story was ridiculous. One moment he was using the toilet, the next he fell in… and suddenly transmigrated into an ancient-looking village.

When he first discovered he had the Sharingan, he was so excited he couldn't help shouting. Unfortunately, that attracted the villagers.

From then on, tragedy struck. The villagers saw his blood-red eyes and immediately branded him a demon from hell. They wanted to capture him, parade him, and execute him by drowning. Chen Tian ran for his life.

He felt utterly depressed. In the Naruto world, villagers at least knew about ninjas. Why were these people treating him like a literal monster?

While fleeing through the streets, he accidentally knocked over a stall. A newspaper flew toward his face. He caught it on instinct and took a look.

"Fuck!"

He wanted to cry but had no tears.

After all that running, he finally realized — this wasn't the Naruto world.

The newspaper clearly stated: The Marines had captured a pirate with a 700 million berry bounty and were about to execute him publicly in Marineford Square.

Marine Headquarters? Pirates? Marineford?

He wasn't in the ninja world at all. He was in the One Piece world… with a pair of Sharingan.

Before he could process everything, more villagers were chasing after him. Chen Tian began his desperate escape. Getting hunted down right after transmigrating — he might be the unluckiest traveler ever.

Thankfully, he still had the Sharingan.

It was only a single-tomoe Sharingan, so its power wasn't that strong yet. It couldn't compare to two or three tomoe, let alone the insane Mangekyō Sharingan. But it was still far superior to an ordinary person.

In this state, his strength was several times greater than before. He could clearly see an ant moving more than ten meters away. His dynamic vision slowed down fast movements, making them appear slow in his eyes.

Thanks to these eyes, he managed to shake off the hundreds of villagers chasing him and hide under the eaves of this alley.

When the last villager finally left and the footsteps disappeared, Chen Tian quietly jumped down from the roof. He checked the direction and ran toward the other end of the alley.

He couldn't stay in this village any longer. Even if he deactivated the Sharingan, the people who had seen him would still hunt him down for a public execution.

With only a few hundred residents, the village wasn't large. Using the Sharingan's enhanced vision, he carefully slipped out without incident.

His stomach was growling with hunger. Before leaving, he stole a chicken from one of the houses. Following a small path, he ran all the way to a nearby mountain beside the next village.

He found a good spot under a large tree near a stream. Skillfully, he prepared the chicken, wrapped it in fragrant leaves and yellow mud, and roasted it in the fire — making himself a beggar's chicken.

While the chicken was cooking, Chen Tian sat by the tree roots, warming himself by the fire. Only then did he finally calm down and think about his current situation.

After the initial shock of transmigrating, he had now accepted reality.

He never expected something like this would actually happen to him. As for why he transmigrated, he couldn't be bothered to overthink it.

Instead of worrying about useless things, he should focus on how to survive in this world. That was the real problem.

First, he confirmed he was not in the Naruto world, but in One Piece. That changed everything.

After Roger's death, his words triggered the Great Pirate Era. People rushed into the Grand Line in search of the One Piece.

The protagonist of this world was Monkey D. Luffy — a hot-blooded rich kid who refused to inherit his family's fortune and chose to set out on his own adventure.

For Chen Tian right now, the most important thing was to figure out what year it was. If it was before Luffy set sail, that would be perfect. If Luffy had already gone to sea, things would get awkward.

Knowing the plot was useless without strength.

This world was full of powerhouses — not just pirates and the Marines, but even civilians hid terrifying experts. Issho (Fujitora) and Aramaki (Green Bull) were perfect examples: no fame, yet Admiral-level strength.

Hot-headed people like Luffy were common. They would attack first and ask questions later. Without power, any scheming was just suicide.

He wasn't the main character. Even with the Sharingan, becoming strong would still take time.

He needed to determine the current year first, then plan accordingly. Right now, he had two priorities: confirm the year and get stronger.

Finding a good teacher would help him grow faster and avoid many mistakes.

The best teacher would obviously be the Pirate King's right-hand man, Silvers Rayleigh. Even without a Devil Fruit, he stood at the top with top-tier Armament Haki, Observation Haki, swordsmanship, and rich experience. Just look at how much Luffy improved after two years of training under him.

But Rayleigh was probably still in the Sabaody Archipelago working as a coating mechanic, gambling and selling himself when he lost. Getting there from the East Blue was too far right now.

In the East Blue, there was actually another legendary figure who could be a good teacher — the Marine Hero, Monkey D. Garp.

That old man was even more monstrous. He had taken down two emperors who once ruled the seas. Decades ago, even Kaido and Big Mom were just "brats" in Garp's eyes.

Without any Devil Fruit, his iron fists were nearly invincible. If anyone in this world had max-level Armament Haki, it was Garp. His physical skills and Haki were at the absolute peak.

Just look at how Koby went from a weakling to a capable Marine Captain after two years of Garp's training.

However, becoming Garp's disciple would tie him to the Marines. Chen Tian didn't necessarily want to become a pirate, but joining the Navy from the start needed careful thought.

Thinking about all this, Chen Tian suddenly laughed at himself.

Why was he even thinking so far ahead? He wanted a teacher, but there was no guarantee anyone would accept him.

For now, he needed to find a new village, settle down, and make proper plans. He couldn't keep living like this — eating one meal and worrying about the next.

He also needed a new name. "Chen Tian" sounded too out of place here.

After thinking seriously for a while, he finally came up with one he liked.

"Sas D. Locke. Yeah… From now on, Chen Tian is gone. I am Sas D. Locke — a member of the D clan!"
