The school's ground filled with chatter as the school started, the club leaders handing out club slips. Football, Rugby, Tennis, etc. But none of that piqued the interest of these 4 friends. "Seriously no Basketball club," Harley said. "How many schools are dropping the sport." Harley was around average hight, ginger hair, blue eyes. "Hey did any of you three bring the Basketball ball?"
"Yeah," Lucas said. "I got mine." Lucas was 5 foot 9 inches in height with ash-blond hair and blue eyes.
"Does this school even have a court for basketball," Kyran asked. Kyran was below average height, ginger hair, brown eyes.
"It should," Harley replied. "It use to be a school with a basketball club."
Lucas scanned the entrance area to find even the slightest traces of a basketball court. Just then the wind blew revealing the slightest part of the Basketball net. "Found one," Lucas said. "But before we play has anyone seen Jake yet?"
"No," Kyran replied. "But he's probably just late." Lucas looked at his phone in his pocket. It had lit up because of a text from Jake. Suddenly a hand grabbed Lucas on the shoulder. "I only just got your text," Lucas said already knowing who it was. "Now lets go play some 2v2s."
"Alright," the person that had grabbed Lucas shoulder said. "So who on what team?"
"Just to make it fair," Lucas said. "Jake your on Harley's team, and Kyran your on my team." Everyone nodded and followed Lucas to the court. The court was messy and overgrown like it hadn't been used in years. "We are going to need to clear this up first," Harley sighed already grabbing the scissors from Lucas's bag.
"Harley went can do the cleaning after school," Lucas said grabbing the scissors back. "We need school's permission anyway to do something like that." Jake pushed the branch out of the way. Jake was taller than Lucas with brown hair and hazel eyes. "Can we just play we only have an hour to play," Jake revealed. "And knowing how long it takes you 3 to actually get set up, we have to start playing now."
"Alright," Lucas said. "We'll start now. Jake, Harley you two start." Lucas walked over to the net and passed the ball to Harley. The ball flew from the net to the middle of court. "The game starts now," Lucas shouted.
Over by the school's entrance, a teacher had watched the 4 friends go towards the Basketball court. "Don't tell me," he thought. "Do we have people willing to play on the old court." That same instant he walked towards to court himself, wanting to see what they 4 could do.
As he got past the overgrown tree branches, he got shocked at what he saw. "Did he just dunk the ball?" He thought, "Well he is pretty tall." The teacher decided to keep watching. No two seconds later he watched as Kyran ran up the pitch without the ball. Lucas just grabbed the ball and swung his arm passing the ball up three quarters of the court straight to Kyran. "What?" The teacher thought, "Is he a Point Guard." Kyran caught the ball and instantly shot. The ball went straight to the hoop, but the wind blow knocking it of course instantly. Harley immediately grabbed the ball before it hit the ground. He started dribbling the ball and instantly started running towards one direction. But as soon as Kyran moved to steal, Harley switched and ran on the other side of Kyran. "Hey boys," the teacher shouted. "Would you 4 like to help me form a basketball club for the school?" As soon as the teacher spoke Lucas grabbed the ball off Harley. "Yeah," Lucas said and the other three nodded. "But their is only four of us and we need at least 5."
"Don't worry I already have another person," the teacher said. "But before we continue I should introduce myself. I'm the P.E teacher, Nico."
"Alright," Jake said. "But why do we need to know your a P.E teacher?"
"Cause I get the club access to the indoor courts," Nico replied. "Also the school only allows the school sport facilities to be used if there is a P.E teacher."
"Well," Lucas said. "If that's all we need to know then I'll join."
"Hay don't leave us out," Harley said slightly raising his voice. "If you're joining then so are we." Both Jake and Kyran nodded.
"Alright then," Nico smiled. "But first the person I know is going to need some training." Nico pointed towards to lower gym. "You four go there tonight after school and I'll bring the other here okay."
"Okay," they all said in unison.
