Chapter 2: Eight Gates of Dunjia
"So strong!"
As the fight continued, Mingyu couldn't help but be impressed in his heart.
The Hyuga clan truly deserved their reputation as one of Konoha's noble families. Their Byakugan allowed them to predict his movements and attack paths with terrifying precision.
If these three weren't relatively weak, he might have actually been captured today.
But now…
"Eight Gates of Dunjia… First Gate: Open!"
Mingyu shouted. Chakra surged violently inside his body as a wild wave of energy exploded outward, sweeping across the battlefield.
The Eight Gates — the pinnacle of taijutsu in the ninja world. Ever since he transmigrated, Mingyu had secretly watched Might Guy train many times. With the help of his Power Card strengthening his body, he could safely open up to the Fourth Gate — the Gate of Wound.
That was roughly the same level Rock Lee had shown during the Chunin Exams. However, thanks to his enhanced physique, Mingyu's power when opening the Fourth Gate was significantly stronger than Lee's at the same stage.
He couldn't help but admire Rock Lee's sheer willpower. Mingyu had the advantage of a system, yet Lee had reached this level through pure hard work and determination.
Boom!
The moment the First Gate opened, Mingyu's speed skyrocketed. He moved like a phantom, charging straight at the three Hyuga members.
One punch sent Hyuga Hoshi flying. A spinning kick launched Neji into the air. A final palm strike knocked down the last clan member.
The entire sequence was smooth, fluid, and incredibly cool.
Hinata's eyes sparkled with little stars as she watched. "Big Brother Mingyu is so awesome!"
"Quick! They're just up ahead! Hurry…!"
More voices rang out from behind. Several Konoha ninjas were rushing toward them, led by a silver-haired man wearing a mask that covered most of his face, leaving only his eyes visible.
"Shit… Kakashi?!"
Mingyu cursed under his breath. Without hesitation, he grabbed Hinata's hand and bolted forward again.
The three Hyuga members looked extremely ugly, especially Neji. As Konoha's genius, he had always been proud of his talent. Yet today, even with three of them working together, they couldn't take down Mingyu. Although he hadn't used his full strength, he could tell Mingyu hadn't gone all out either.
Neji let out a quiet sigh, his face filled with frustration.
Mingyu ran at full speed, but even with the First Gate open, he was still no match for Kakashi's experience and raw power. It didn't take long before Kakashi caught up.
"Kakashi-sensei! Long time no see!" Mingyu said with a bright smile, stopping since running was now pointless.
"You've really grown bold, huh? Eloping at such a young age? Do you even understand the consequences?" Kakashi asked coldly, though there was a hint of amusement in his tone.
He actually admired Mingyu's courage. The kid dared to do things even he wouldn't.
But as a Konoha ninja, he couldn't allow Mingyu to run off with the Hyuga clan's precious daughter. That would create serious tension between the clan and the village.
"Well… it's true love!" Mingyu muttered quietly. He turned to Hinata with an apologetic look. "Sorry, Hinata. Looks like I can't take you away this time."
"It's okay," Hinata said softly, her small face showing firm determination. "I believe in you, Big Brother Mingyu. You'll become a powerful ninja one day. No one will be able to stop you then."
Mingyu nodded. "A powerful ninja… I will."
He looked back at Kakashi, his eyes burning with fighting spirit. Even though he knew he had no chance of winning right now, he still wanted to test himself.
"So, are you coming back with me quietly, or do I have to beat you up and drag you back?" Kakashi asked with a lazy grin. He found the kid quite interesting. With proper guidance, Mingyu could become an outstanding ninja.
"I want to try!" Mingyu declared.
He flipped his hand, and a glowing purple card appeared. With a flick of his fingers, it merged into his body.
Ding! Speed Card activated — Speed increased by 100%!
"Eight Gates of Dunjia… Fourth Gate: Gate of Wound — Open!"
The moment the Fourth Gate opened, combined with the Speed Card's boost, Mingyu's speed reached an insane level. He practically flew across the ground.
Boom!
A terrifying wave of energy erupted from his body.
"Oh? Interesting," Kakashi's visible eye narrowed with interest.
He quickly formed hand seals.
"Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!"
A massive fireball shot toward Mingyu.
But in that instant, Mingyu stepped forward and vanished like a ghost, reappearing directly behind Kakashi. He launched a powerful spinning kick.
"Trying to sneak attack? Still too green."
Kakashi smiled and spun around, meeting Mingyu's kick with a powerful punch of his own.
Bang!
Their fists collided in mid-air, sending violent shockwaves in every direction. Trees shook violently, and many branches snapped from the force.
"So strong!" Mingyu thought, his right leg throbbing with pain. It felt like he had punched a block of solid steel.
As expected of Konoha's Copy Ninja, Kakashi Hatake — even his taijutsu was on another level.
But instead of discouraging him, it only ignited Mingyu's fighting spirit even more.
"Wind Style: Wind Blade!"
Since taijutsu wasn't working, he switched to ninjutsu. He rapidly formed seals, sending sharp wind blades howling toward Kakashi.
"Not bad, but still not enough," Kakashi said approvingly.
He formed the exact same seals.
"Wind Style: Wind Blade!"
Using the opponent's own technique against them — this was the Copy Ninja's specialty.
Kakashi's wind blades were larger, stronger, and more numerous. In moments, they completely shattered Mingyu's attack and sent the boy flying backward.
"The gap is still too big…" Mingyu smiled bitterly and shook his head.
He knew Kakashi had been holding back. Otherwise, he would have been seriously injured, if not killed.
Still, he felt no discouragement. He was still young. Give him a few more years, and Kakashi would no longer be his match.
That was the confidence of someone with a cheat system.
"So? Still want to fight?" Kakashi asked as he walked over.
To be honest, he was surprised by Mingyu's strength — especially that explosive speed. If he hadn't activated his Sharingan, even he would have had trouble keeping up.
For an eleven or twelve-year-old… this kid was a monster.
"No need. I'm not your opponent. I'll go back with you," Mingyu said honestly. He wasn't the type to throw a tantrum.
Besides, the system had just notified him that the mission was completed.
He only felt a little sorry for Hinata, who had run so far with him.
In his heart, Mingyu made a silent vow: I will protect her properly from now on. I won't let anyone hurt her.
As for Naruto… Since I'm here now, you can just find yourself another wife.
