Whoa!
Blood was in a daze when he read the notification.
Does this mean there was a new world established but he had to complete a quest first before he could access it. Come to think of it, this was his first official quest, and it was a direct passage to a world.
Moreover, it wasn't just any world but a world of this system-like being. There would surely be many cultivators with advance knowledge in there, especially regarding the blood path since he knew nothing about it.
He was bound to know something, and it was also a chance to leave his peers in the dust which made him delighted.
His eyes became resolute when he thought about his pasts…
But something was wrong. What was with the quest?
'eat up a world of any magnitude?' How would he complete such a quest!?
Although, worlds are very rear to find especially one with human settlements, nevertheless, there were other smaller worlds which were seen almost everywhere in the Fief Domain.
No one knew the proper name for these worlds and so they named it according to the highest realm of sentience found in them.
That is, if a beast of the second realm was found in any and were in large number, they therefore recognized such small world a grade 2 world and that goes for third, fourth and so on…
Beasts are the dominant creatures in many of these small worlds, but some claimed to have seen a different species from within one of these small worlds. People took it as a joke though.
While there were inhabitants found in these smaller worlds, the majority of them were empty. Although they might contain land and water and some other natural bodies, but in essence, they are empty which inferred the name they were mostly known for—The Empty Worlds.
Thus, small worlds of the Iron realm are called, grade 1 Empty world or Empty realm…
Blood was skeptical if this was one of such worlds that the Blood Book wanted him to consume and the question still remains,
How would he do it?
His thought process was suddenly halted by the sight before him.
What the heck!?
Blood exclaimed in fright and jumped back as a lustrous spear with three protruding spikes appeared levitating in front of him. It had an intricate design, and he had this feeling of nostalgia the moment the weapon appeared and an assuasive feeling washed over him.
It was like meeting his long-lost friend who he had been with for the longest of time, but he knew this wasn't true since this was his first time seeing such a weapon.
Blood didn't know when the ointment container fell from his hands as he reached out his hands seemingly to feel the texture. Tears unknowingly poured down his face and every drip to the ground left a dent of at least five inches.
The structure of the trident was breathable and warm, and it seemed to be crafted from its pristine designed elements with nothing left out. All the constituents were perfectly placed. It was durable and flexible and most especially; its lightweight.
It was extremely light!
That wasn't all. Its entire structure was built with jade materials. The protruding spikes were extremely thin with the pointed tip even thinner. Its shaft length was almost two meters and extremely smooth and the blacksmith if there were any, seemed to place the materials in precise arrangement.
It could withstand corrosive properties without trouble.
The pointed tips pulsed out profound red energy from time to time and an entirely different spike seem to jut out underneath the Trident, albeit shorter.
The taste was irresistible and alluring nonetheless.
Moreover, the moment Blood grabbed the Trident, the surrounding energy churned madly as if vexed as they rushed in full force towards it.
Blood was enveloped in a raging swirl and his entire body was clouded by the energy. He couldn't be seen from the outside.
The instant they came in contact with the trident, it pulsated a fierce burst and both Blood and Ballock were aggressively brushed away, without care.
Blood grimaced as he stood up from the ground before helping Ballock whose wound seemed to have recovered. The recovery speed was increased after the ointment was applied and with it combining with the natural blood energy, the recovery was accelerated.
Ballock grunted as they both looked at the strange set up. This continued for some hours and both of them watched in silence and waited patiently.

Meanwhile…
"Chief, welcome to this little one's abode. We are honored to receive your presence?" said a middle-aged man with auburn hair and deep red eyes, wearing a neat red robe. He was none other than Salza, the master of the Marble family.
"Enough with your sweet words, ninth division commander. It being over a month that you've been giving insignificant reports. I need you to tell me all you've gotten since your investigation started.
"It seemed there's something going on that you didn't want to report on as it had come to my notice. Now give this old man a comprehensive breakdown." the man addressed as chief complained immediately. He was wearing the city's military uniform and had a stern expression on his face.
'what is this all about?'
Salza thought to himself mildly as he registered the chief's attitude. The chief was always easy going but it seemed not producing a significant result for over a month had pissed him off, which made him come down here by himself. This by itself was punishable, he was already experiencing the chief's leniency.
Also, the chief always refer to him as Salza except when he'd done something extremely wrong that couldn't be entertained. He was even secretly given the title of 'deputy chief', it was an agreed statement within the army.
Salza cleared his throat as he explained, "Chief, the reports have been accurate all along. The situation in the Sand-scale forest isn't friendly and has been growing intense as reported and many cultivators have gained a lot from it.
"During these past few days, the forest seemed to be calm, and the abundant red energy doesn't appear as magnificent as before. The soldiers themselves weren't idle and have gain a lot, including some making major breakthroughs while the treasures and other resources found on duty were collected and locked in the storage.
"I apologize for making you worry. If anything, nothing I've just said was omitted; it's all in the previous messages." Salza expressed, which made the Chief pondered for some time, in deep thought.
He relaxed his back on the couch and said, "Are you sure this is all you have to say, you wouldn't have any chances after I began." The Chief inquired with a straight face. His expression couldn't be read.
Salza's heart skipped a beat when he heard that, which made him thought whether the Chief had a clue about one thing he was hiding. He always had a way with words.
Maria was in a corner listening closely with unrest steps.
"Uh-h.." Salza was at a loss and didn't know if he should let the cat out of the bag. The problem wasn't with the Chief but with the others who accompanied him. Saying this wouldn't just hurt him but his precious son.
He sighed deeply and chose not to say anymore. He would receive the punishment of his actions alone; leaving the family out of it. Even if the Chief knew about it which was possible, he wouldn't know his son was involved in it.
The Chief shook his head slightly. He could see the wariness in Salza's eyes as he watched the men he'd brought—he knew they weren't on good terms.
"Alright then, tell me about the dual portal which led to your secured site which seemed to be instrumental in your future activities." The Chief said in a subtle tone.
