Chapter 9 - Kantara: Spirit of the Sacred Forest 16 to 20

Chapter 16 — The Calm Before the Storm

Weeks passed after the forest battle.

Life slowly returned to normal in the villages of Karnataka.

Farmers worked in the fields. Children played near the river. The forest once again looked peaceful.

But Shiva could still feel something strange.

Sometimes the wind carried whispers from deep inside the forest.

Sometimes animals ran through the village in fear.

One night the village elder came to Shiva.

"The forest spirits are restless again," he said.

"Something is coming."

Chapter 17 — The Hidden Enemy

Far away in the city of Mangaluru, the mining company had not given up.

The project leader sat angrily in his office.

"That village ruined everything," he shouted.

"But we will take that forest back."

This time they hired something worse than workers.

Mercenaries.

Armed men who cared nothing about spirits or traditions.

Their mission was simple.

Enter the forest.

Capture Shiva.

And destroy the sacred shrine of Panjurli.

Chapter 18 — The Sacred Warning

That night Shiva had a powerful dream.

He saw the forest burning.

Trees falling.

Animals running in terror.

And the shrine of Panjurli destroyed.

Suddenly the spirit appeared before him.

"The balance is in danger again," the spirit said.

"Dark intentions are approaching the forest."

Shiva woke up immediately.

He knew the dream was not just a dream.

It was a warning.

Chapter 19 — The Forest War

At dawn the mercenaries entered the forest.

They carried weapons and fire bombs.

Their leader laughed.

"Let's see how strong this 'forest spirit' really is."

But the forest had already awakened.

The wind howled through the trees.

Animals ran wildly.

Branches snapped like thunder.

Shiva appeared in front of them.

His eyes burned with the power of Panjurli.

"You were warned," he said calmly.

Then the forest attacked.

Roots burst from the ground.

Storm winds knocked the mercenaries off their feet.

The battle for Kantara began once again.

Chapter 20 — The Eternal Guardian

By sunset the mercenaries had fled.

None of them dared return.

The forest had protected itself.

Villagers gathered at the shrine that night.

They lit hundreds of lamps to thank Panjurli.

The priest looked at Shiva.

"You are no longer just a man," he said.

"You are the bridge between humans and the forest."

Shiva looked at the endless green land of Karnataka.

The wind moved gently through the trees.

He smiled quietly.

"As long as I live," he said,

"the spirit of Kantara will never fall."

Far above the forest, thunder rolled softly across the sky.

Almost like the guardian spirit was watching.

And approving.
