Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The Path That Will Not Break Again

The cold wind brushed past his face.

Han Luo stood still inside the small wooden room, his clenched fist trembling slightly—not from fear, but from the overwhelming flood of memories crashing into his mind.

The destruction.

The betrayal.

The blood.

Everything was still vivid, as if it had happened just moments ago.

But this time…

He was alive.

A second chance.

A chance he had begged for in his final breath.

Slowly, Han Luo exhaled.

His racing heart began to calm, and the chaos within his mind started to settle. His sharp gaze swept across the room once more, taking in every small detail.

The worn-out wooden walls.

The simple training robes folded neatly at the corner.

The faint smell of herbs lingering in the air.

This was real.

Not a dream.

"I've truly returned…"

His voice was low, almost a whisper.

But there was no disbelief left in it.

Only certainty.

Outside, the voice echoed once again—

"All disciples, if you are late, don't blame the elders for punishment!"

Han Luo's eyes narrowed slightly.

Training ground.

This moment…

He remembered it clearly.

This was the day everything had started to go wrong.

The day he had made his first mistake.

In his previous life, he had been careless… distracted… weak.

He had missed opportunities.

Ignored warnings.

Trusted the wrong people.

And in the end—

He had lost everything.

But now…

"That won't happen again."

Han Luo moved.

He grabbed the training robe and quickly put it on, his movements precise and efficient, completely different from the hesitant boy he used to be.

As he stepped out of the room, the cold morning air hit his face.

The sky was no longer filled with dark clouds.

Instead, a faint golden light spread across the horizon as the sun began to rise.

A new day.

A new beginning.

But for Han Luo—

It was a battlefield.

The sect stretched far and wide, covering a vast area of mountains, forests, and stone pathways. Disciples rushed in different directions, some adjusting their robes, others yawning lazily.

Everything looked peaceful.

Normal.

But Han Luo knew the truth.

Beneath this calm surface…

Danger was already brewing.

His gaze sharpened.

"This is where it all begins…"

He murmured to himself before stepping forward.

🚶 The Training Ground

The training ground was already crowded when Han Luo arrived.

Dozens of disciples stood in rows, their expressions varying from serious to bored. Some were chatting quietly, while others tried to look disciplined under the watchful eyes of the instructors.

At the front stood a middle-aged man in grey robes.

Elder Zhou.

Strict.

Unforgiving.

And someone Han Luo had once feared deeply.

But now—

Han Luo's expression remained calm.

Elder Zhou's sharp eyes swept across the crowd.

"Silence!"

His voice was like thunder, instantly suppressing all noise.

"Today's training will determine your progress for the next month."

A pause.

"Those who perform well will receive additional cultivation resources."

Murmurs spread through the disciples.

Resources.

In the Murim world, that meant everything.

Without resources, one could never grow stronger.

Without strength—

You were nothing.

Han Luo's fists tightened slightly.

Resources…

In his previous life, he had failed here.

Miserably.

He had been weak, unfocused, and ultimately overlooked.

But this time—

His eyes hardened.

"I will take everything I deserve."

Elder Zhou continued,

"We will begin with basic combat evaluation."

"Step forward one by one."

The first few disciples stepped forward nervously, demonstrating their techniques.

Some were decent.

Some were average.

Some were outright terrible.

Occasionally, Elder Zhou would nod… or frown… or shout harsh criticism.

The atmosphere grew tense.

Then—

"Han Luo."

The name echoed across the ground.

For a moment—

Everything seemed to slow down.

Han Luo stepped forward.

All eyes turned toward him.

Some curious.

Some indifferent.

Some mocking.

After all, in the past—

He was known as one of the weakest.

Elder Zhou looked at him coldly.

"Begin."

No encouragement.

No expectation.

Just a command.

Han Luo took a deep breath.

Then—

He moved.

His body shifted forward with a speed that surprised even himself.

Not because he had suddenly become stronger—

But because his experience had changed.

Every movement was precise.

Every step controlled.

He executed the basic technique flawlessly, without a single wasted motion.

The wind whistled softly as he completed the sequence.

Silence.

A brief moment of silence.

Elder Zhou's brows furrowed slightly.

This…

Was not what he expected.

"Again."

Han Luo repeated the technique.

Even better this time.

Cleaner.

Sharper.

More controlled.

The surrounding disciples began whispering.

"Was he always this good?"

"I thought he was weak…"

Elder Zhou raised his hand.

"Enough."

His gaze lingered on Han Luo for a moment longer than usual.

Then he spoke—

"Acceptable."

Just one word.

But for Han Luo—

It was enough.

Because he knew—

This was only the beginning.

🔥 The First Change

As Han Luo stepped back into the crowd, his heart remained steady.

No excitement.

No pride.

Only focus.

He had taken his first step.

And this time—

He would not stop.

His gaze drifted across the training ground, observing everything carefully.

Every disciple.

Every movement.

Every hidden detail.

Because now—

He wasn't just a weak disciple anymore.

He was someone who had seen the future.

And this time—

He would change it.

No matter what it takes.

Chapter 2 end. But

Chapter 3 coming soon.
