Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Girl from the Hills

In the Khasi hills of Sylhet lived a girl named Pari. She was eighteen years old. Her family consisted of her father, mother, and a ten-year-old younger brother. Her father was a tea farmer, and her mother was a housewife, though she sometimes helped him by picking tea leaves.

Even though Pari was born into a tribal family, she was extraordinarily beautiful. She was a college student. Like the other girls in the hills, she went to school with her friends and returned home in the afternoon. Later, she would wander around the hills with them, exploring every corner. Pari was lively, cheerful, and very simple-hearted.

On the other hand, the hero of the story was Shuvo Anik Chowdhury. He was the son of a wealthy family from Sylhet city. His father owned a large textile company and traveled both in the country and abroad for business.

At home, Shuvo lived with his mother and grandmother. He was the only son of his parents and was thirty years old.

Shuvo was a playboy. He spent most of his time with girls and changed girlfriends almost every month. Even after finishing his studies, he showed no interest in joining his father's business. Instead, he spent his days roaming around with his friends.

One day, Shuvo and two of his friends went on a trip to the hills. While exploring the beautiful scenery, they suddenly noticed a group of girls enjoying themselves in the water of a mountain waterfall. They were laughing and playing freely.

Among them was Pari.

The moment Shuvo saw her, he was completely captivated. He couldn't take his eyes off her.

His friends noticed and asked, "Why are you staring at that girl like this?"

Shuvo replied, "I've never seen someone so beautiful before."

They teased him, saying, "You fall in love with a new girl every month and then break up."

Shuvo smiled and said, "Yes, those were just for passing time. But this girl… she has touched my heart. I want her."

Then he said, "Come on, let's go talk to her."

With that, Shuvo approached Pari. Seeing the three boys coming toward them, Pari and her friends fell silent and stood still.

Shuvo asked, "What's your name? Where do you live?"

Pari didn't say anything. One of her friends replied, "Why do you need to know that?" Then she turned to Pari and said, "Let's go."

Hearing the name "Pari," Shuvo smiled and said, "Such a beautiful name."

Pari and her friend walked away. Shuvo and his friends secretly followed them and made sure to remember where they lived.
