Chapter 46 - Hallways... And More Hallways...

The alarm went off surprisingly early today. Drew just got finished with his work, and is now ready to head back inside to rest. His whole mind, and soul felt cloudy ever since Lukas and that Nicola guy got snatched away. He didn't even mind the pain for today, his mind was already blocking out for more important matters.

"You ok dude?" #33 asked, with Drew just shaking him off and walking faster. The wind was flowing through his hair, making him super majestic compared to the others.

Once he got to the door to the inside, he got swarmed by others who just wanted to go to bed for the day. Drew almost got trampled whilst navigating his way through. The crowd at some point, sort of drifted him along. All the way to the door. Drew gets pushed to the side, and everyone else gets pushed in. The one problem with this, is that Drew was left alone in the hallway, just as the door was closing. He tried to get through it, but it was too late. The door shut swiftly, almost on Drew's middle finger.

He looked around, to find that there were no guards in sight for some reason. He did hear some talking coming from down, over to the outside. So he did the best he could, to run and find somewhere to hide. He sees a door leading somewhere up ahead. He gets over there, and twists the door open to find an empty, and dark office room that looked like it would hold around 10 people at one time. He shut the door behind him, and pushed some furniture over the door so nobody could open it. Once he did all of that, he dropped to the floor, and sighed deeply. Now that he was outside, he could go find out where Lukas and that other guy could've gone.

He waited until the two guards slowly strutted past the door, saying something in a foreign language.

While making sure the furniture didn't creek while moving them back to where they were left. He slowly creaked the door open, and looked both left and right to check his surroundings. Now tip-toeing out of the room, he decides to turn left, and keep walking. The place felt really eerie, especially when no one was around him. It almost looked abandoned with the lack of lighting in some areas. Drew just guessed that they couldn't pay for the electrical bill, which he can relate to.

"Ok! Where would they put misbehaving people at?" Drew pondered, acting like the answer would just come to his head automatically. "Maybe somewhere… where Lukas and I first got here!" He put all of his brainpower into remembering the route between the sleeping quarters, and what he presumed to be the interrogation room. The memories gave him really bad shivers down his spine, but he kept pushing anyway.

After a couple of turns that he thought were right, he came to a halt when he found a fork in the road. One hallway going left, and the other one still going straight. He couldn't tell which one they went down, but he took a wild guess, and pivoted hard left.

The hallway to the left of him looked way darker than the one before him, but his gut was telling him this was the right way, so down he went. Each step he took further in, made him shivers in his shoes with how scary the whole place was. It looked like some sort of old ghost hunting video from 40-50 years ago. Cobwebs seemed to start showing up more and more often the deeper he went. And there were stains showing up just as often, sort of painting the walls with abstract art.

A sawing noise entered his ears after he almost couldn't see anymore. He was using the walls as navigation when it happened. It sounded like they were cutting some sort of meat, with the faint squirting noises that would also play.

He was at this point blind as hell. The only thing helping him is touch and sound.

It kept on like this, until he turned a corner, and got absolutely flashbanged from the light that came from the end of it. He was surprised that none of the light reached the end of the hallway, but why would he complain when he could finally see again. The only problem with it, is that the light was blinding him with how bright it was. So sometimes, he would have to shut his eyes completely so they wouldn't start watering.

The end of said hallway, wasn't that far thankfully, only taking Drew around a minute to get to this closed door with windows on it. That's where the light was truly shining from. He peeked his head through, now fully adjusted to the light, and he squinted his eyes to get a full view on what was happening.

There was this humanoid thing that was lying down on a hospital bed, it seemed to be fully degloved, leaving only muscle and other things. Its head was also fully shaven and degloved, having its eyes bulging out of its head. Someone in a lab coat, seemed to be making some incisions on its legs, taking off pieces of muscle bit by bit. Drew was so disgusted from whatever this guy was doing. But then, he looked even more closely at how red and bloodshot the eyes were. Its hands were also clenched in a sort of way, so that it looked like it was desperately holding on to something before it died. Drew put two-and-two together, and had very high suspicions that the guy they were working on was the one that got publicly hanged. He clenched his fist on what he assumed was the truth.

The doctor with the name tag: Viktor Guðmundsson. He was currently working on seeing if people native from Canada have the same bodily functions as from where he's from. His eyes were full of curiosity, at what was happening to whoever this was.

"Wow…" Viktor was absolutely amazed at how similar Canadians were to his own. He clapped his hands at the sight of blood squirting out some weird crevice in the patient's stomach. The smell also was similar to his past patients down in where his family lives.

*BANG!

He swings his head to where the door was, and sees that someone opened it. The guy emerging from the hallway seemed to be super pissed, and majestic; saying: "the fuck do you think you're doing…?"
