Morning reached without delay, the sunlight poured into the room, hitting Jacob's face and giving him an illuminating glow.
He opened his eyes and gave a languid yawn as he stretched his hands, the sounds of the birds chirping and tweeting was enough to send him back into another daze, but he forced himself up.
"Good morning Xenia." He said as he glanced towards the woman's direction, she was sitting at the edge of the bed brushing her hair.
She gave him no response.
This was something that shocked Jacob, because she would often times greet her first. He saw that her hands were moving with how precisely she would stroke her hair with the long brush. So what was her deal?
"Good morning Xenia." He said again as he adjusted himself on the bed, this was unusual for her, to completely ignore him.
This time he was annoyed, he had never liked the cold shoulder response, especially not from Xenia, it gave him a feeling that he could not describe.
