Chapter 91 - The Sky Shakes Everything!

Chapter 91: The Sky Shakes Everything!

Mualani thrust her hands forward, her expression fierce. Above her head, a massive torrent of Hydro energy rapidly gathered, compressing into a swirling vortex of deep blue. In an instant, a barrage of 'Explosive Torrent Missiles' materialized, summoned forth like a relentless volley of cannon fire!

Empowered by the surging energy of Nightsoul's Blessing, these aquatic projectiles were fundamentally transformed. They were massive, tearing through the air with terrifying velocity, the compressed explosive power within them practically humming with volatile intent.

With a sweeping wave of her arm, Mualani unleashed the barrage. Dozens of missiles streaked across the battlefield like a deep blue meteor shower. They slammed into the strange, pulsating purple shield protecting the Abyssal Erosion: Golden Wolflord. Ear-splitting shrieks of displaced air preceded the impacts.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom—!!!

A chain of violent explosions erupted across the surface of the corrupted barrier. Each Hydro missile triggered intense, overlapping ripples of energy, sending violent shockwaves rippling outward. Under the relentless bombardment, the sickly purple hue of the shield began to fade, its structural integrity visibly degrading by the second.

"For Natlan!" Chasca roared, her voice cutting through the din of battle. The radiant aura of Nightsoul power flared around her, pushing her limits.

The Soulsniper at her feet hummed as it gathered power, the mechanical whine rising to a fever pitch. Once it reached its absolute peak, it discharged instantly, firing a volley of multi-elemental Shadowhunt Shells.

Astonishingly, the projectiles moved as if possessed by a will of their own. They carved graceful, deadly arcs through the chaotic air, precisely tracking and locking onto the colossal aerial target. Enhanced by the Nightsoul, the speed and armor-piercing capabilities of these Shadowhunt Shells were pushed to their absolute zenith.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh—!!!

Dense streams of multi-colored light streaked across the sky like guided munitions. They bypassed the Golden Wolflord's frantic attempts to block, striking the exact same fracture points and critical energy nodes from impossibly tricky angles. Every single hit produced a sharp, agonizing screech of tearing energy. The shield, already violently fluctuating from Mualani's relentless Hydro bombardment, grew dangerously thin, turning almost entirely transparent.

Dan Heng's analytical strategy had been perfectly validated.

Mualani's overwhelming area-of-effect bombardment combined with Chasca's surgical, armor-piercing strikes formed an absolutely deadly cooperation. The strange, corrupted shield of Void Realm power rapidly dimmed. It flickered violently under the continuous, punishing assault of the Nightsoul's Blessing, teetering on the very edge of total collapse.

"It's actually working! The shield can't hold on much longer!" March 7th exclaimed, her eyes wide with delight as she drew another arrow.

"Perfect." Stelle's golden eyes lit up. Staring at the tottering, paper-thin barrier, the pent-up frustration that had been simmering in her chest finally found its outlet. "Hey, big guy! Once that shield shatters, watch me—this young hero—give you a present you'll never forget! That's what you get for daring to mock me!"

She immediately began to channel every ounce of her strength. The Glazed Sword in her grip erupted with an unmatched, blinding golden radiance. Destructive energy furiously gathered and compressed along the blade's edge, humming with volatile power. Her eyes locked onto the collapsing shield. Her ultimate strike—the Golden Light Demon-Subduing Sword—was primed and ready to be unleashed!

However, just as the barrier reached its absolute breaking point, and the golden energy in Stelle's hands was a fraction of a second away from erupting... an unexpected anomaly occurred.

High above them in the fractured sky, the rapidly shrinking beam of light that served as their only exit suddenly flared. A blinding, incandescent golden light erupted from its source, radiating an intensity that far exceeded anything they had witnessed thus far.

A vast, majestic, and utterly terrifying pressure—a weight that felt as though it originated from the very bedrock of the ancient earth itself—crashed down, instantly suffocating the entire battlefield.

The Abyssal Erosion: Golden Wolflord, which had been coiling its massive body to pounce upon the annoying ants below, suddenly froze. It snapped its grotesque head upward. For the very first time, its glowing crimson eyes flickered with uncertainty. Deep within those abyssal slits, there was a deep, instinctual trace of... fear.

In the very next second, the breath caught in everyone's throats. An enormous, apocalyptic meteor, wreathed in roaring golden Geo flames, violently tore through the dark sky of the Night Kingdom.

Moving at a speed that defied comprehension and carrying a world-shattering momentum, it plummeted downward. It struck with absolute, divine precision. The celestial rock smashed directly into the Void Realm shield—already weakened to its absolute limit by the Nightsoul attacks—and crushed the paralyzed Golden Wolflord beneath it.

Time itself seemed to fracture and freeze.

In that singular, breathless moment, the only thing visible to the stunned onlookers were the ancient, majestic Geo sigils flowing like molten gold across the surface of the descending star.

BOOM!!!

A terrifying, cataclysmic roar—a sound utterly impossible to describe with mere words—instantly ruptured the air, temporarily depriving everyone of their hearing. The entire Night Kingdom seemed to convulse and tremble violently beneath the sheer weight of the celestial strike!

Blinding golden light, intertwined with violently destructive shockwaves, swept outward in all directions like a raging tsunami. The remaining Rifthounds lingering on the periphery of the battlefield didn't even have the chance to let out a final whimper. The sheer kinetic force and Geo energy instantly vaporized them, turning their abyssal bodies into fine dust.

Plumes of pulverized earth and radiant golden light churned together, rising into the fractured sky to form a gigantic, apocalyptic mushroom cloud. The colossal, terrifying figure of the Golden Wolflord, along with its already crumbling shield, was violently driven deep into the bedrock, utterly crushed by an irresistible, god-like might.

The resulting seismic waves churned the earth itself, spreading outward like a tidal bore. Even from a distance, the solid ground beneath the group's feet violently undulated, tossing them about like leaves on a stormy sea.

Then... dead silence.

An absolute, suffocating silence rapidly enveloped the devastated battlefield. Everyone stood completely paralyzed, their minds entirely blank, utterly shell-shocked by a strike that defied all logic and imagination. They could only stare blankly at the massive, smoking impact crater. Golden light still bled through the settling dust, leaving them rooted to the spot, unable to process the sheer scale of the destruction.

That was, until a familiar notification chimed in their minds.

[Genshin Impact · Zhongli]: "@Everyone Threat temporarily removed. The passage is about to completely close. Depart quickly."

The calm, measured voice from the chat group echoed in their consciousness. It acted as a stabilizing anchor, instantly snapping them out of their stunned stupor.

It was Zhongli!

"Go! Move, now!" Lumine was the first to recover her wits, her sharp shout cutting through the ringing in their ears. She didn't even spare a second glance to confirm whether the abyssal monstrosity was truly dead.

No one hesitated. The raw instinct for survival, coupled with their unconditional trust in the retired Geo Archon, completely overwhelmed any lingering shock or morbid curiosity. Everyone immediately dismissed their weapons. Stelle hastily canceled her primed Golden Light, the radiant energy dissipating into the air, and sprinted alongside the others. They pushed their bodies to the absolute limit, rushing desperately toward the extremely faint beam of light that threatened to vanish at any given second.

This time, there were no abyssal monsters blocking their path. There were no falling rocks or spatial tears threatening to crush them.

Only a single, unified thought echoed in everyone's mind: Get out of here!

They threw themselves into the fading pillar of light, silently praying for salvation. A blinding flash consumed their vision, completely whiting out the world around them. Yet, surprisingly, this time there was no nauseating sensation of spatial distortion or dizziness.

After a brief, fleeting moment of weightlessness suspended in the white void, the reassuring sensation of solid ground returned beneath their boots. The suffocating, oppressive abyssal aura of the Night Kingdom vanished entirely. In its place, the cool, crisp, and incredibly fresh morning air of Natlan filled their burning lungs.

They were back. They had returned to the exact location where they first breached the Night Kingdom.

The overwhelming relief of surviving a literal catastrophe surged through their chests like a tidal wave. Adrenaline rapidly drained from their systems, causing several of them to go weak at the knees. Kachina practically collapsed, leaning her entire body weight against Mualani as she gasped heavily for air, her small frame trembling.

Just as they began to catch their breath, a crisp, mechanical prompt materialized in the consciousness of every chat group member:

[System Notification: World Commission "Saving Private Kachina" has been completed!]

[Commission Reward: 300 Group Points have been distributed to all participants' accounts.]

[Special Note: As this commission involved significant energy consumption and extreme danger, participants are permitted to stay in the current world for an additional 6 hours to rest and recuperate. Alternatively, members may actively confirm their return to their original worlds at any time via the chat group interface.]

It seemed the chat group system actually possessed a shred of empathy, "understanding" the sheer peril and immense physical toll of this particular mission, granting them an extra half-day of downtime as compensation.

Stelle, however, was entirely unimpressed. She crossed her arms and quietly grumbled, "If you're so understanding, why don't you just give us more points? That would be way more practical!"

The rest of the group simply exchanged exhausted, knowing glances. As their heartbeats finally began to slow, their minds inevitably drifted back to the dark sky of the Night Kingdom. They recalled the apocalyptic, devastating meteor and the suffocating pressure that had accompanied it. A deep, lingering sense of awe—mixed with a healthy dose of fear—settled over them.

Zhongli's true power... had once again completely shattered their understanding of the world.
