Chapter 29 - S3 new beginnings

SCENE START]INT. YURTO'S APARTMENT - DAYThe room is cluttered with baby supplies: a half-assembled wooden crib, boxes of diapers, and colorful blankets. YURTO is frantically reading an open manual, a tape measure slung over his neck. He looks exhausted but deeply determined.SUZUME sits on the couch, her sharp spear leaning nearby against the wall. She gently rests a hand on her growing baby bump, watching Yurto with a mix of amusement and affection.YURTO(Muttering to himself)Okay, if the support beam goes into slot B, then the safety locks should click... wait, did I use the wrong screws? Suzume, do you think a newborn can sense if a crib is off by two millimeters?SUZUME(Softly laughing)Yurto, take a breath. The baby isn't going to have a level tool. Come here.Yurto drops the wrench, sighing as he walks over and sits beside her. He places his hand over hers on her stomach. His tense expression instantly melts into pure warmth.YURTOI just want everything to be perfect. Especially after everything with Legion... I want this world to be safe for them. A place where they can grow up believing in forgiveness and redemption.SUZUMEWe will build that world, piece by piece. Starting right here. But you need to rest, or you'll collapse before the baby even arrives.EXT. CITY STREETS - SAME TIME ZORA is walking down the bustling pavement, his younger brother ASHER trailing alongside him. Zora's eyes are bloodshot, wide, and twitchy. His hands are buried deep in his pockets, trembling slightly from an unseen, deeply buried addiction. He is drowning in intense self-loathing and a complete lack of trust for anyone around him, but he forces his face into a wide, malicious, cartoonish grin.He speaks in a loud, colorful tone, channeling a cynical, smug, and chaotic persona—exactly like Jax from The Amazing Digital Circus.ZORA(Leaning over Asher, grinning wildly)Well, well, well! Look at us, little bro! Just a couple of happy-go-lucky guys doing normal guy things in this wonderful, totally-not-falling-apart trash heap of a city! Isn't it just peachy?ASHER(Frowning, looking at Zora with concern)Zora, you're doing the voice again. And you're sweating. Are you okay? You've been acting weird all morning. You can talk to me, you know.ZORA(Gasping dramatically, putting a hand over his heart)Me? Weird? Perish the thought, Ash-boy! I am a picture of absolute, unadulterated sanity! Talking about feelings is for people who actually believe other people care. Spoiler alert: they don't! Everyone's just looking for a reason to stab you in the back, or trap you in a cage, or turn you into a human popsicle like my dear old brother Legion!Zora pulls a small, amber pill bottle from his sleeve with a sleight-of-hand flourish, quickly popping a pill into his mouth before Asher can clearly see it. He swallows it dry, his grin stretching even wider as his twitching worsens. He is actively making his own problems worse, completely burying his true self under a wall of cartoonish cynicism.ZORA (CONT'D)(Slapping Asher on the back, forcing a laugh)Now, less talking about the scary void inside my soul, and more looking for something fun to smash! What do you say? Asher watches him, deeply heartbroken, realizing he can't break through Zora's dangerous facade.EXT. OLD INDUSTRIAL WAREHOUSE - ROOFTOP - LATERHigh above a secluded courtyard, the mood shifts to a tense, freezing cold atmosphere. HIRIA stands near the edge of the roof, his expression a dead, unreadable mask. SELENA stands closely at his side, her hand resting on the hilt of one of her dual blades. Beside them is HAGGAI, crouching low, peering over the ledge with a pair of tactical binoculars. They are completely hidden in the shadows, waiting for the perfect moment.Down in the courtyard below, a massive, imposing figure steps out of a black transport vehicle. It is JUDAS—a towering, ruthless warlord radiating absolute authority, carrying himself like a devastating Aztec emperor. He wears heavily ornamented, skull-adorned armor and holds a massive, heavy macuahuitl blade. Behind him file a dozen highly disciplined, fiercely loyal SERVANTS, all armed to the teeth.HAGGAI(Whispering, keeping the binoculars trained on Judas)There he is. Judas. He brought his top enforcers. They're heavily armed, Hiria. If we move too early, we lose the element of surprise.SELENA(Eyes flashing fiercely)Let them be armed. They bleed just like anyone else. I can take out the perimeter guards before they even clear their holsters.HIRIA(Coldly, raising a hand to signal patience)No. Not yet. Judas is meticulous, and his strength is heavy. We wait until they enter the primary kill zone inside the warehouse. Let them think they're secure.Frost begins to creep slowly along the concrete ledge beneath Hiria's boots, crystallizing the dust around them as his deadly ice manipulation hums just beneath the surface, waiting to explode.HIRIA (CONT'D)When the time is right, we take his inner circle apart. No warnings. No negotiation.Up on the roof, the three of them meld seamlessly back into the dark fog, waiting to strike a fatal blow against Judas and his army.[SCENE END]
