Maiya stared, stunned, at the fragments of the Huiqi badge Milady had produced.
"Unless Luo Geng is ruthless enough to make enemies on all sides and attack another family's Clan Leader like I did, he won't be able to find two badges for you either," Milady said, breathing warm air into her hands. "I've run myself ragged for you for half this game. Isn't it only fair that you return a small favor?"
Maiya thought for a moment, then finally let out a sigh.
"Between you and Luo Geng, you're just a tiny bit more likable," she muttered. "Fine. But you'd better take good care of my badge. What do you want me to do now?"
The task Milady gave her was, in a way, both easy and difficult.
Xi Yadu and Yu Gan were keeping their distance from one another, pretending to be alone. They were currently searching the vicinity, trying to lure Milady into taking the bait. What they didn't know, however, was that they were giving Milady the perfect opportunity to turn their own scheme against them.
