Chapter 37: Order
Zein's Point of View...
I woke up smiling. I went to my next subjects smiling. I don't know why, but I feel lighthearted. I really can't understand myself. Maybe Supremo was right that I am bipolar?
"Look who's here?" I stopped walking towards the SSG Office when Roxane blocked my way again with her two assistants.
"What do you want, Queen Roxane?"
The once pouting lips turned into a smile just by hearing the 'queen' word. She really is a queen, for them, and I'll just follow along, I don't want to get involved in any trouble. I don't want to make another wrong move that would hurt, not just me but others as well.
"Since you mentioned Queen. Get me some Juice from the cafeteria."
"Me a sandwich." Said the girl on the left. "Me pizza." Said the one on the right.
It wouldn't matter if that's all they made me do just to avoid trouble but the problem is the cafeteria is far from where we are now, plus the scorching sun. I might suddenly faint.
"Sorry..." I was about to pass them when I felt two hands holding my arms.
I closed my eyes tightly before forcefully removing their hands. "Fine!" I heard them laughing even though I was a bit far from them.
You should be thankful, I am in control of myself bitches.
I almost ran to the cafeteria just to be quick and the sun was burning because there was no cover above as I was in the quadrangle.
"UGH!" I frowned for the nth time.
If I wasn't considering what would happen if I fought you, you'd probably be lying on the ground by now. Smirk.
I stopped and held my knees because of the distance and heat that doubled the fatigue I was feeling. I felt a shadow behind me so I quickly turned around.
He put an umbrella over me which made me frown.
"It's hot and you're walking under the sun," he said.
"And so what, Liam?"
He smirked before shaking his head.
"Where are you going in such a hurry?" he asked.
I snatched his umbrella and walked away. I've met many people at HU and I don't want any more added.
"Wait!"
I felt him walk under the umbrella with me. I didn't complain anymore because the umbrella we were using was his anyway.
When we arrived at the cafeteria, I suddenly let go of the umbrella and went to the counter to take out what they ordered me to get. Huh.
"That's a lot. Are you going to eat all that?"
I didn't glance at Liam and just waited for my order.
"You're sulky."
"You know what?" I crossed my arms in front of him. He was annoying me and he added to it. "If you don't want me to be sulky, leave me alone." I got my order and took his umbrella again and hurried out of the cafeteria.
Good thing he didn't follow me but his umbrella--- Never mind, I'll just return it to him later, I might end up owing him a favor because of this umbrella.
"Here!"
They were like hungry ghosts scrambling for the things they ordered me to get so I couldn't help but smirk.
"You've been hungry and thirsty for a while but you endured it because you're too lazy to walk to the cafeteria under the ruling sun. Right?" I got a little annoyed because of their laziness and they would use their power just to get what they want without breaking a sweat.
Huh!
"Get out of here. You're annoying."
"Huh! You said so." I was about to leave but I looked back at them. I raised my middle finger.
"Fuck you," I murmured.
The nearby SSG Office felt so far because I've been walking for so long and I'm thirsty too. I should have taken a sip of the juice earlier. Geez.
When I arrived at the SSG Office, Supremo immediately stood up and helped me to sit down.
"Hey! Are you ok?" He asked worriedly.
He turned the aircon to maximum and closed the door before coming near me again.
"W-Water." I said thirstily.
Supremo got a bottle of mineral water that was on his table and gave it to me.
"Is there less?"
"Less now?"
"Of course! Are you the only one who has the right to be thirsty? Drink up before you die."
Angrily, I drank the mineral water and when I was satisfied, I spat the excess onto his face.
"Ms. Shion!" He angrily wiped the water off his face and glared at me.
He took the empty bottle of mineral water and hit my head with it. I scratched my head in pain even though it was gentle.
"What are you doing outside at this time?! It's so hot! Do you want your skin to burn?! Go ahead! Sunbathe more so you burn and become ugly-"
"And no one will like me except you?" I teased, and as usual, he blushed again.
I've been teasing him about liking me for a few days now, and I haven't been disappointed. If ever, I might be his first girlfriend, while he might be my 24th if ever. I can't remember who all my boyfriends were.
What am I even saying?! Psh.
"Straighten up!" He snapped at me and went back to his table.
Only now did I notice Vice Ty and Teacher Kath looking at us with raised eyebrows? Uh oh. I didn't notice them.
"President Ac-"
"Crap it. I don't want to hear what you have to say." Supremo cut off Teacher Kath.
"I am still higher among the three of you. I'll just remind you that I always do that you two cannot be sweet, Secretar-"
"I know..." He looked at Teacher Kath. "And I don't care." He added before coming to me and pulling my hand.
I didn't utter a word and just let him pull me. I couldn't help but smile bitterly. What do I need to do, Supremo? I don't know how to get through this?
He took me to a 'secret place' as I called it because students don't usually go there; Supremo knew about this place too? Well, he's been here a long time and might also want some quiet sometimes. It's funny that we both liked this place.
He helped me sit on the root of the giant tree. He sat next to me. I didn't know what I should say. How do I start saying what I want to say that I don't even understand?
"I want to cover your ears whenever they say that..." Supremo whispered softly. "I don't want you to follow what they want..." My heart felt like it was being ripped apart as I listened to his sad tone. "I don't want you to leave me." He added.
My chest tightened, so tight that I felt like screaming. Why is it that every time you're happy, there also has to be sadness? Can't you be happy, and then happy again later, and then... then... endless happiness?
I'm going crazy.
I felt his hand on my hand so I couldn't help but look at him. He was smiling but behind that, I knew sadness was hiding.
"How, Ace? What should I do? Order me, I will obey you. Please, give me an order, Supremo." I said to the air.
I felt his grip on my hand tighten and the warmth coming from it warmed my cold heart.
Damn!
"I don't know what to do either, I just want to be with you. I am so into something only you can give. I am so damn much crazy, you can call it insanity but the hell yes, I am crazy about you."
"Why me?" I asked without thinking.
I'm also wondering why he liked me out of so many girls. He could have any girl he wants.
He laughed at my question but still didn't let go of my hand. "That's also what I always ask myself. I didn't like you, I really didn't like you from the beginning. You must have put a spell on me to become like this. What I like in a girl is simple, angelic even if I'm a demon." He said.
"Angel?"
"Angelica? Yes, I was attracted to her but when you come near, I quickly get free and I fall back to you. It's like I'm the north pole of a magnet and you're the south pole, the funny thing is your magnet is so strong. I am so attracted to you. You are so damn attractive."
"You liked Angel too?" I asked coldly. He laughed again.
"Of course. Who wouldn't be? She is simple yet attractive." He answered smiling.
"Then why are you here?! Go to Angel who is attractive!" I removed his hand from mine and folded my arms.
Angel is attractive to him too so he should go to her! I don't know but I want to be the only one. I don't want any competition. I'm selfish. I admit it.
He pulled my hand and caged it in his two large hands.
"Because I chose you over her, isn't it obvious?"
I still didn't speak which made him laugh. Damn! What's so funny? Is he laughing because I'm annoyed?
Well, I'm super annoyed. I'm so annoyed I might just kiss you.
"I don't want to see you frowning but if the reason is because you're jealous, I might just want you to keep frowning."
Traitor! He made me smile! This is what I don't like about Supremo, he doesn't realize that the simple things he says affect me so much, reaching deep into my insides.
"You are smiling."
"Heh!"
He suddenly became serious so I swallowed. Did he get mad at my "heh"? Sorry already! Tsk! How annoying! Why is he so serious?! He might be the more bipolar one between the two of us.
"S-Sorry already..." I said almost whispering but his serious face kept looking at me.
I don't know if he's mad or what.
He suddenly stood up and walked away so I quickly followed him. I pulled his shirt so he stopped but he remained with his back to me.
"Supremo, come on."
I was surprised along with my eyes widening when he suddenly turned around in an instant. Time stopped for a moment. When I realized that with just one wrong move, I could kiss him.
His lips spread and he smirked before moving his face away from mine. "That's why. I'm just holding myself back, because if I can't control myself, I might just claim your whole race." He said with a smirk.
I still couldn't get over what he did. Like, I almost felt his lips but they didn't really touch and I felt had (felt bad/cheated?). I should have moved.
My mouth remained shut and I still couldn't...
He held my cheek with both his hands and brought his face a little closer to me.
"You want an order? Fine." A smile again dawned on his lips. A smile that melts me. "You must not obey an order from anyone, only me. And.... This is an order from the highest Supreme Student Government..." I closed my eyes when I felt his cold and soft lips on my forehead. "And you can't do anything about it."
