"Fu Tailan—"
Jin Xueli had only just begun to speak when the next moment's events stunned both humans and Residents alike.
On the screen, the figure seen from behind who had just gunned down Fu Tailan suddenly lost his balance, as if he were a LEGO figure that had been shoved. He pitched backward and fell heavily to the ground.
Chaisi flinched. His initial, subconscious reaction—shock, anger, worry, and anxiety—was an invisible tide that surged so violently it almost crashed into Mai Mingle.
But before this habitual emotion could turn into action or sound, it collided with reality and abruptly receded.
He took a slow breath, and before he could gather his thoughts, Jin Xueli had already blurted out, "What happened to Kai Luonan? Is he hurt?"
On the screen, Fu Tailan was still a blurry shadow lying in a pool of blood, his head and face obliterated.
He couldn't attack Kai Luonan, yet now Kai Luonan had fallen to the ground—but the latter was still alive.
