Eli who had managed to pivot away, touched his head and feeling the warm blood which was leaking from the wound hissed slightly. The attacker-- A slightly muscular person in singlet and short flower designed pants, attacked again, this time aiming to strike from above as he performed an overhead strike, but Eli dodged once more and raised the gun in his hand.
A backfist knocked the gun out from his grip. The gun skidded to a halt, before the fellow gave a hook from his hand and onto his side, sending air out from his lungs.
Eli fell to the ground on his knees, but he did not fall completely as he openly rushed for a takedown, gripping the leg of the man and applying the move. He raised his right hand and punched downward furiously. The attack slammed onto the fellows chest, Eli choosing not to aim for the head due to the mask and this caused him to feel that the attack was not strong enough. He did not listen to the thought though as he rushed for the axe at the mans hand, but suddenly a massive "Bang!" echoed.
One of the intruders rushed from the side, axe in hand and seeing the incoming person, Eli abandoned the struggle for the axe and instead rushed for the gun. Gripping it, he let out two bullets tear from its barrel.
Bang! Bang!
It hit the wall and one managed to scrape the side of the man, blood soaking his singlet, but at this moment suddenly another rip of the gun flew through the air as a bullet tore through his head in that brief second, blowing his brains out.
Countless brain particles fell out, and blood splashed the walls. Seeing this scene, Eli was slightly inclined to puke, but he ignored and aimed the gun in his hand at the intruder on the ground but he was already moving as a swift attack with his palm knocked it again from Eli's grip once more, causing it to fly under a room door.
The fellow then, forked his fingers and was about to dig it into Eli rib, but Eli quickly rolled away, slightly disorienting him for a bit at the angle he had rolled, but from behind at this moment an axe handle was at the throat of Eli pinning him.
Eli struggled and thrashed trying to escape, but the fellow shouted to his comrade in a voice that was all too familiar to him:
"Quick finish him off!"
The intruder rose from the ground, and punched Eli at the stomach, causing him great pain and with the axe he grabbed, he slashed violently at Eli shoulder, testing through skin and all alike.
Eli felt a blistering pain, hot and overwhelming overtake him in every direction and wave he could possibly imagine as he let a scream rip out from him—
"AAAGH—"
The scream broke halfway through, cracking into a wet and rattling cough that bent him forward as another cough came right after but this time weaker as his breath came in short and disoriented pulls
Blood overwhelming large and thick flowed out from his body like a broken pipe and he crashed down to his knees, as he felt as though all the strength he had had been sapped out from him. The man at his back, released the axe from his throat and with a push from his boot, caused Eli to pitch forward and crash down onto the ground. Eli now on the floor could only spasm and gurgle in pain as thoughts of his life flashed briefly in his mind.
The two men, breathing hard looked at each other and with a nod of communication, began to drag Eli through the house and out to the sittingroom.
At the parlor was a man in a pristine and clean white suit and on his face was a puma mask which obscured his features. He stared at the dragged Eli and the trail of blood left behind, and brought out a handkerchief from his pocket, before standing up to the now brought up Eli figure and began wiping at the blood flowing from his mouth.
"How sad.." His voice sounded, laced with pity and mock. Through the eyepiece of the puma mask, his eyes shone with a scorn and mock pity as he repeatedly swiped at the blood.
"How hurt you must feel. How sad and violated your emotions must currently be. Sigh... This is truly the natural end for the naive."
He kept wiping as he spoke, unhurried, like he had all the time in the world.
"Now that you are about to die and your head will be offered, the exchange and offering can begin and we will be able to activate it." Saying this, he pulled the now bloodied handkerchief and threw it, before walking towards the window and staring.
Eli barely breathing, stared with weak eyes at the figure who he recognised. Someone he had an unbelievable amount of respect for, but to think that... Eli could not help but laugh in the fading thoughts that was now present in his mind.
Was this it? The question came.
Was this the end?
Is this how I die? Hunted by the people who I trusted. Who I willingly gave myself to help.
He felt no anger, instead all that he felt was a deep and quiet sadness that spread through him like a winter cold. For goodness. For kindness. For helping others... and yet this is all it had gotten him. A miserable life and a miserable end.
An overhead swing of the axe came down, chopping his head clean off his neck and at this moment, all which filled Eli's fading mind was one single word.
.
.
Kill!
