Chapter 1 - Chapter-0: The Beginning

In a world where dreams can become dangerous if left unchecked, a small number of people began awakening strange abilities-powers that allowed them to enter and eliminate harmful dreams.

Recognizing their importance, the government established the Dream Hunter Organization (DHO). Within it were three main roles:

Dream Hunters (DH), who entered dreams to fight threats

Dream Doctors (DD), who kept Dream Hunters' energy and mana stable

Dream Crafters (DC), who created specialized weapons for Dream Hunters

For a time, the system worked.

Until one day... everything went wrong.

Without warning, people across the world began falling asleep at the exact same time-and they never woke up. Dream Hunters and Dream Doctors attempted to investigate, but none who entered these dreams ever returned... even though their energy levels remained high.

It didn't make sense.

To avoid widespread panic, the Dream Hunter Organization Manager (DHOM) kept the situation strictly confidential. Instead of alerting high-ranking members or the public, only low-ranking DHs and DDs were assigned to investigate.

And none of them came back.

But before diving deeper into this mystery, let's meet someone important.

Bae Yeon-hwa.

Nineteen years old. Male. A first-year college student.

Yeon-hwa holds rigid beliefs, shaped by his strict upbringing. His family firmly believes that men must be strong and masculine, while women should remain at home, avoiding education or careers.

His father, Bae Jeon-un, is an A++ ranked Dream Doctor-one of the best.

His mother, Bae Na-ri, is a housewife who follows the same traditional values.

Yeon-hwa has two sisters.

His younger sibling, who insists on being called Mia, despises both her birth name and the family surname.

As for his older sister... Yeon-hwa knows nothing about her. He has never met her, never even heard her name. His parents only say that she became "too rebellious" and is now dead to them.

One afternoon, after lectures ended, Yeon-hwa headed to a nearby store with his friends, Jake and Kim.

Everything seemed normal.

Until suddenly-he felt sick.

"Hey, Yeon? You okay?" Kim asked, concern rising in his voice.

Before Yeon-hwa could respond, nausea hit him hard. Jake and Kim quickly rushed him to the bathroom.

He barely made it in time.

As he threw up, something strange happened.

Glowing marks began to appear on his neck and arms-faint at first, then brighter. They pulsed with an otherworldly energy.

And then-

A symbol formed at the back of his neck.

The mark of a Dream Hunter.

Kim stared, eyes wide.

"Yeon... you've awakened as a DH!"

Yeon-hwa froze.

"What?! But I'm too youngggg-!" he whined, panic creeping into his voice.

Jake stood there, completely speechless.

Yeon-hwa's eyes filled with tears.

"You guys have to keep this a secret."

Jake immediately shook his head.

"That's illegal. You have to register."

"Please~~!" Yeon-hwa begged.

Kim and Jake exchanged worried glances.

After a moment, they both nodded-despite knowing the risks.
