The next day after following his normal routine of training in the evening and morning with Aurathia and at night with Yumi Nero made his way down into the dungeon again
"I feel like I'm getting used to the frog shooters and war shadows now due to fighting them so much in the training space and I feel like my stats have increased enough to go down a few more floors" Nero wondered as he made his way through the upper floors "plus the lower the floor the more energy I get for defeating each monster"
The bar showing when Nero would be able to summon his next instructor had been filling up slowly and had only reached about 10% full, but considering the fact that he had already been taught all of Yumi's techniques and at the moment the only 2 techniques that he couldn't activate without any difficulty was the ice pillar fan and ice queen mode Nero thought that it would be in his best interest to fill the bar faster in order to become more powerful faster
"I wonder who my next teacher will be, there are so many different things I want to get as skills that I don't think it would matter who I get so long as they have strong abilities" he mumbled to himself
All of a sudden a goblin broke free of the wall and stabbed towards Nero, only for him to dance out of the way and to slam Hyōka into its face killing it instantly
"Although I would really like something that would allow me to pick up magic stones and store them more easily" he sighed, bending over to pick up the small object and put it in his bag "maybe I should try to find a supporter" he pondered before deciding against it
"Maybe once I'm strong enough to reach the 10th floor at that point it will be worth it but at the moment with the size of the stones my small bag is enough for now even after a full day of work" he said patting his newly brought backpack
Continuing down Nero finally reached the 7th floor where the number of new monsters that he would have to face increased with new problems that would arise; the ally summoning killer ants, the poison spreading purple moths and the fast and small needle rabbits
Reaching the new floor Nero quickly stumbled across a purple moth, the monster already spreading its poison around itself as it flew towards him
"Hrm, I wonder" Nero muttered, knowing that the purple moths main way of attacking was through poison and that it wasn't really specialized in direct attacks let the moth get closer to him
Getting within range the moth spread its poison, a purple cloud enveloping Nero
"Although it's not as effective as Yumi's technique it's good to know this works" Nero's voice commented from within, confusing the monster
Looking at its pray the moth was surprised to see its poison was freezing as it touched Nero, causing it to be rendered ineffective and fall to the floor as harmless flakes of ice
"Well with the test completed, thank you for your help" Nero chuckled before using Shirayuki to cut the moth to pieces
The next monster that Nero stumbled across was a needle rabbit which he used to train the accuracy of his black ice futher, the monster being faster than anything that he had faced before and its speed lead Nero to need to use his tessen in order to deal with it due to not being able to hit it
"I'm definately using you guys to train tonight" Nero stated to the defeated rabbit just before it disappeared in a puff of ash
Looking at the gacha bar Nero was pleased to see that it was increasing at a faster rate on this floor
"From what I've been told purple moths only spawn on this floor and from here down to floor 10 only killer ants and needle rabbits spawn on floors 8 and 9, that means that going down further should actually make things easier and I will be getting more energy" Nero considered "Down to floor 9 it is then" he decided, proceeding futher
Walking through the 8th floor Nero became concerned due to the fact that he had yet to come across any monsters, his gut instinct telling him to be on alert for anything
Eventually he arrived at the stairs to floor 9 and he hesitated, torn between the desire to go further and the urge to go back due to his gut feeling of something being wrong
Against his better judgement Nero decided to progress down to the 9th floor, believing that so long as he stayed vigilant that he would be able to deal with the monsters that were on these floors due to having dealt with a needle rabbit with enough leway to be able to use it to train and he was able to kill it without any difficulty when it got to close
After walking even further into the 9th floor the feeling of dread that he was feeling only continued to grow, eventually he decided to turn around and go back, only for the bad feeling that he had to come true in the worst way possible
"Damn it, a monster party" Nero cursed, looking at the large group of killer ants that had appeared in front of the stairs back up to the 8th floor
Hearing his arrival the ants turned to face him, their eyes glowing red as they stared him down
"My first group battle against foes I haven't fought against yet, I really should have trusted my gut" Nero moaned as he prepared himself "never have an adventure in the dungeon huh" Nero commented, remembering Eina's words from the anime "I can see why" he mumbled as he got ready to fight for his life.
