Layla's impoverished husband. A simple man worn down by life, he possesses neither power nor influence, yet he is the first person to have lived with Layla before her transformation.
Elena
The daughter of a wealthy merchant in the city. Beautiful and arrogant, she used to look down on Layla with disdain, but she will later become one of the figures most consumed by jealousy of her.
Baron Reinhardt
A wealthy noble with vast influence. A dangerous man with a thirst for control, he is considered one of the first powerful men to enter Layla's world.

An unknown woman who knows the secrets of the System better than anyone else. She appears at pivotal moments throughout the story.
