Chapter 142 - Chapter 142: The Marines Tremble

Grand Line, Sabaody Archipelago — Grove 1 Port.

The massive Uchiha warship docked without raising any pirate flag. Instead, the red-and-white fan insignia fluttered in the wind—far more intimidating than any skull.

The lively port fell into instant silence.

From the shadows, countless eyes watched.

Marine scouts stationed across Sabaody, along with officers already under strict orders, held their breath.

"He's here… he actually came…"

Hidden among the mangroves, a Marine major general gripped his binoculars with trembling hands. Cold sweat soaked through the back of his justice coat.

"Notify Marine Headquarters immediately!"

"Evacuate nearby civilians at once!"

"Remember the Fleet Admiral's orders—do not provoke him. Do not open fire unless attacked!"

"Anyone who disobeys will be court-martialed!"

The Marines were terrified.

Akainu's fate was still fresh in everyone's memory. No one was eager to die.

At the bow, Tobirama surveyed the area. His perception swept across kilometers, detecting every hidden presence. The fear below was palpable.

"Heh."

A trace of disdain curled at his lips.

"So Sengoku really is shaken. On their own ground, and not one of them dares to show themselves."

"Justice," he continued coldly, "is nothing but a joke when it lacks power."

Since the Marines chose to hide, Tobirama had no interest in wasting time on them.

He turned to the women behind him, now dressed casually as if on an outing. Hancock wore a long dress, Robin a wide-brimmed hat. Vivi and Nami brimmed with excitement. Even Kalifa and Tashigi—recent captives—had been changed into simple clothes, quiet and cautious.

"This island is famous for coating ships," Tobirama said calmly. "It's also a shopping paradise."

He tossed out a stack of black cards.

"Go enjoy yourselves. Buy whatever you want."

"I'm not short on money. What I lack are people willing to spend it."

"Long live His Majesty!" Nami cheered, eyes gleaming.

Hancock smiled softly, clearly pleased.

Tobirama raised a finger, black runes forming at its tip.

"To avoid interruptions…"

He tapped each woman's wrist. A subtle Flying Thunder God mark appeared, elegant and faint.

"If you're threatened," he said, voice steady,

"activate it."

"I'll arrive immediately."

"And then—"

His gaze hardened.

"I will erase the problem at its source."

The women nodded, reassured. Even Kalifa felt an unfamiliar sense of security as she touched the mark.

They dispersed into the city.

Tobirama walked alone toward Grove 1's core.

There stood a massive, garish structure—the Human Auction House.

The entrance guards stepped forward.

"Stop—"

Before they could finish, both collapsed unconscious, felled by a precise burst of Conqueror's Haki.

Tobirama pushed open the doors.

Inside, the air was heavy and loud. An auctioneer named Disco was shouting bids for a captive.

The sudden light at the entrance drew all eyes.

When Disco saw the silver-haired man, his face drained of color. The gavel slipped from his hand.

"U–Uchiha…"

He stumbled off the stage and hurried forward, bowing deeply.

"Your Majesty! Your presence honors this place!"

The buyers—nobles and wealthy figures—froze in fear.

Tobirama ignored them and sat in the central VIP seat reserved for Celestial Dragons.

"Enough," he said. "Bring out your finest."

Disco nodded frantically.

Soon, iron cages rolled onto the stage.

In one stood a young woman in a golden dress, her expression subdued yet dignified.

Stella.

Tobirama's gaze lingered briefly.

"That one," he said. "I'll take her."

Disco hesitated only a moment before nodding eagerly.

"Release her!"

As Stella stepped forward—

Bang!

The doors burst open.

"Who dares steal what belongs to a Saint?!"

A shrill, arrogant voice echoed.

CP0 agents cleared the hall as a Celestial Dragon strode in—Saint Charlos—his bubble helmet gleaming, pistol raised.

He sneered upon seeing Tobirama's back.

"You," Charlos barked. "Kneel! That woman is mine!"

The hall fell deathly silent.

Disco collapsed in despair.

Tobirama turned slowly, his expression calm—almost amused.

"Celestial Dragon?" he said lightly.

"Didn't the Marines tell you…"

"The last one who pointed a gun at me is already buried?"

He gestured to Stella, now beside him.

"She's under my protection."

Charlos sputtered in disbelief.

Tobirama's eyes hardened.

"Tell me," he said quietly,

"what makes you think a title makes you untouchable?"

The weight of his presence pressed down on the room, and for the first time, the so-called "god" felt fear.
