Chapter 168 - Chapter 168: Slipped! The Death of Luffy!

At the bow of the Uchiha starship, Tobirama Senju stood calmly, one hand gripping Monkey D. Garp by the throat. His gaze lingered playfully on the trembling figure suspended in midair before him—the leader of the Revolutionary Army, Monkey D. Dragon.

"What? Is it a difficult choice?" Tobirama chuckled softly.

"Dragon, I've heard that for the sake of your revolution, you could even abandon your wife and child."

"Now is the moment to test the weight of your so-called 'righteousness.'"

"Will you kill your own father to claim the title of savior?"

"Or will you let the tens of millions who trust you die… for this old man?"

Dragon's face drained of color. The Wind Sword hummed in his grip, yet his arm would not move.

This wasn't a choice.

It was an execution.

"It seems this bargaining chip still isn't heavy enough," Tobirama said, shaking his head as cold malice flashed through his Rinnegan.

"Since it's a family reunion… one person is still missing."

He reached out casually toward the void.

Space Grab.

The air twisted.

A small child wearing a straw hat tumbled out, blinking in confusion.

Monkey D. Luffy.

Barely a year or two old—nothing more than a clueless toddler.

Tobirama lifted him effortlessly, holding him in midair.

"Grandpa…?" the child whimpered, eyes filling with tears as he saw the terrifying faces around him. "And that scary dad… let me go! I wanna eat meat!"

The instant Dragon and Garp saw him, their composure shattered completely.

"Luffy!!!"

Dragon's eyes turned bloodshot. Every mental barrier he had built in the name of justice collapsed in an instant.

Father.

Son.

Both in the enemy's hands.

"Bastard!!!" Garp roared, thrashing against the chains until blood seeped from his wounds. "Tobirama! You call yourself a powerhouse? Using a child like this?!"

"Hostage?" Tobirama tilted his head, glancing at the struggling toddler.

"You misunderstand."

"To me… this is merely an extra."

Countless eyes across the battlefield locked onto the scene.

Some prayed.

Some despaired.

Some waited for Dragon's decision.

Dragon closed his eyes.

Two streaks of blood-tinged tears slid down his face.

For the world.

For the fall of tyranny.

Sacrifice… was inevitable.

"I'm sorry," Dragon whispered hoarsely. "Father… Luffy…"

The wind around him spiraled violently—the prelude to a suicidal charge.

"I choose… righteousness!!!"

He roared, his body transforming into a destructive hurricane as he rushed forward, ready to destroy everything—including himself.

"Oh?" Tobirama watched him approach, a faint smile forming.

"So you chose righteousness."

"How touching."

Then—

His fingers tightened slightly.

"Oops."

"My hand slipped."

There was a sharp, chilling sound.

Dragon froze mid-air.

Garp's roar died in his throat.

The child's crying ceased—abruptly, forever.

The straw hat slipped from Tobirama's grasp and fell silently toward the sea.

The battlefield fell into stunned silence.

The hope of the future—snuffed out as casually as crushing an insect.

Tobirama tossed the small, lifeless body away and calmly wiped his hand with a cloth, his tone almost apologetic.

"I meant to wait until you finished speaking," he said lightly.

"Who knew a child's neck was so fragile? I'll be more careful next time."

"Tobirama!!!"

Two howls of agony erupted at once—from Dragon and Garp alike.

"I'll kill you!!!"

"I'll tear you apart!!!"

At that moment, all ideals, all justice, all restraint were reduced to ash.

Dragon lost all reason, Haki blazing as he charged forward.

Garp, driven mad with grief, forced his body against the chains with inhuman strength, eyes burning with hatred.

"Yes… that's better," Tobirama said approvingly.

"Anger. Hatred."

"This is what war should look like."

"But…"

He discarded the cloth. The pattern in his Rinnegan shifted into an eerie new form.

Kotoamatsukami.

"Old man," Tobirama murmured, turning toward Garp.

"With vitality like yours, it would be a waste to die here."

Green, ghostly light pierced into Garp's mind.

His movements froze.

The madness in his eyes drained away—replaced by absolute obedience.

Still not satisfied, Tobirama raised a hand again.

Life force surged violently into Garp's body.

Before everyone's eyes, white hair turned black. Wrinkles vanished. Power returned.

The legendary Garp—at his absolute peak—stood once more.

"Go," Tobirama commanded calmly, pointing at Dragon.

"Kill him."

"Use your iron fists… and crush this unfilial son."

"Yes… Master," Garp replied.

He stepped forward.

The deck shattered beneath his feet as he launched himself like a bolt of lightning.

Father and son collided.

The Marine Hero.

The Revolutionary Leader.

Their clash shook the battlefield, shockwaves capsizing nearby warships.

"Father…?!" Dragon gasped, blood spilling from his lips as he was hurled backward.

"Your body… your will—!"

"Silence!" Garp roared, fists blackened with Armament Haki.

"Those who defy the Master—die!!!"

Dragon stared at his enslaved father… then at the empty sea where his son had fallen.

Something inside him broke completely.

He lifted his head, eyes locking onto the silver-haired man seated above.

"Tobirama!!! You soul-defiling devil!!! I will kill you!!!"

Tobirama leaned back on his throne, lifted his glass of red wine, and took a slow sip.

"Curse all you like."

"Louder."

"This little drama of 'father and son'…"

"I staged it just for you."

"Enjoy it."
