Emperor Staynus POV :-
Long ago,Korwia Empire's king died of his illness.....
Though the king's only son, Staynus,got to the throne.but the queen's illegitimate son Martin,wanted to sit on throne so badly that I started getting frequent attacks by him..
My strongwill and strength prevented my death so far.
Martin's support from his mother had always troubled me from killing him....
In the korwia empire, According to our custom,the king and the queen are equally important.since the queen's support was always to Martin,I was to put my life on hang and listen as the queen favoured her other child..
My only way to get a hold of everything is to replace the queen...and the only way to do that is by marrying ,so that the married girl would become the next queen...
But the current Queen's plan is to kill me before my marriage...
But that won't happen even in her dreams...
I was going through all my marriage contracts which came for me from different places..
Nothing was good and pleasing.They all wanted the queen's position..
I've always wanted someone responsible enough to take care of my kingdom...after my marriage, Would I finally kill the current Queen and her beloved son for my kingdom's well-being..
The current Queen is already cruel to all citizens ,so is her son...
I feel ashamed of calling her my mother so,I mostly call her "The current Queen".It suits her.she is not permanent after all.
One fine day I gave a grant to the princess of the Thrombia Empire to talk to me in person..
Though,she was not well that time..
I wanted to have a hanus gemstone,so that I can sell it for even higher prices because Thrombia's gemstone has some amount of mana deep inside of it..if we were to awaken that mana,the price of the gemstone would increase like a wildstone.
And that same day, Martin insisted me on bringing him to a village..I had no interest but I had to..
Then,the moment Martin got to the village,he started flirting with random passing girls and teased their looks and status..
Then there was this girl, Martin started to making fun of her family infront of everyone,she was brave enough to slap Martin on his face..
That was one satisfying slap..
Then just like that Martin got mad and pulled her hair..Normal girls would cry in a time like that but she didn't..but that time there came a man I think his name was Jeons.he stood up for the girl..I was honestly suprised by his bravery but his power is no close to Martin's.
"HOW DARE YOU STAND AGAINST ME,YOU FOOL..YOU ARE TO BE ARRESTED, young man".he said to that jeons guy..
Then, there was this girl,she was said to be his sister, defending her brother...
It was surprising for a young lady to stood up and risk her life and reputation in front of everyone...In our kingdom,the only thing women cares about was always money,fame ,reputation and the best way to get married to a wealthy man..
But she was built different....
I was about to support them but then Martin took her hands and pushed her to the floor.
A normal girl would cry at this point but fortunately she stood up undefeated..
And she had the coldest stare ever...
It would have annoyed Martin much that he even held the sword towards her neck ..
I thought of coming in for safety but nope.
She casually broke the sword with her bare hands..She definitely is no normal girl in the Kingdom..I guessed right she wasn't from the kingdom afterall...
Then something that I never would have expected happened, her eyes became red..
I was in shock,that condition is no ordinary.its the red moon eyes...but only people with rare blood gets it.....
I know what to do at that point so,I took her hand and ran as fast I could...
I asked about her eyes.she hesitated for a moment but she agreed and jeons guy as a fact came and gave her a chocolate...
I knew it very well,the condition that caused my Father's death...
I wanted to help so badly as I didn't want an innocent girl to end up dead because of it...
I got to know her name ..she said it was Leona.I introduced myself as Stay,a knight of this empire.
Then I started telling her all the complications about her terrible condition hoping she would take it to her heart..but I couldn't see her being serious at all...
She told she was a knight too and had to leave before their carriage is being taken aback..
Alright I gave it to her and let her find her way out of the village...
We, again met at the palace grounds as she was being sent back to her Kingdom..
I am the emperor afterall and I invited so I must be there..but Leona asked if I am to escort her like the other knights thinking I am a knight too....I couldn't say a word so I did escort them to their palace.there on the way we had an hanus attack but she handled the situation like a pro that I could'nt even keep my eyes away from her.
After that, I suddenly had a change in the heart and decided to visit the princess as a knight...I told my knights to have a talk with the princess anyways but now I am here myself..
The princess was summoned to the main hall.
She hid her face with her shining dress.it must of been that she was too unwell that she didnt want to look miserable..
My only reason to talk to the princess was to collect hanus gemstone for 1 million bertz.but now I wanted that same girl,Leona to live in my kingdom because I wanted to know more about her...
I gave away the trade for 2 million bertz...
The princess took a long time to decide but in the end ,she accepted my trade which meant .
I'd get to see this Leona girl anytime I want in my kingdom...
This is my first time being so interested in something like this...
Though my reason is to help her avoid her fate of death because of her eyes in the end...No one deserves that pain....
