Hisui's pov
Chapter 2
My head hurts like hell, i felt air going around me even though my eyes were closed. I raised my head slightly upwards. My Crystal eyes scanning the entire place.
"Huh.." i squinted my eyes, looking at everything in this strange palace filled to the brim with people. I began scanning everything around me... "Chair... Table or something similar.. a person a book a wall... What is that black glass thing?!" I said as i looked at the phone on the desk.
I grabbed it like I was grabbing a rat by its tail and it opened. "Woah... This is amazing." I memorized it instantly and copied it with ice. Before realizing it's not a magic device.
"Huh, then how.. i should be more worried about where I am." I snapped back into focus before standing up slowly, i knew I was here for a reason. And if I asked...
i would've probably been laughed at.
My eyes turned into that deep blue colour once again scanning the memories of the person Infront of me.
By freezing their memories and
absorbing that cold into my head.
I paused before scanning my own memories once again... I stood there, still. "I'm at University... My parents said they..." I talked to myself like a maniac and finally understood everything.
My mind refused to live in that body anymore, yet the curse still carried on. And i hurried before making a cold barrier of minus fourty two degrees to keep myself alive.
I finally felt like breathing, and i didn't want to risk testing the curse. I got up slowly and memorized every single detail.
I looked back and saw a boy and a girl kissing.. "disgusting." I approached them. Clearly unaware of the common sense in this world. "Go get a room instead of showing this pathetic display." I spat out as i looked down at them.
The boy looked offended as he got up "how dare you talk to us like that!" He tried attacking me. But i just grabbed his hands. "Id advise you not to do that. If you value your life." His hand froze instantly.
I let go, letting him deal with his own problems. Before finally turning around and walking out of the big room they called a "cafeteria." I looked around like a lost cat, unable to coherently form long thoughts as i pondered every single detail.
A boy came out from behind me and tried scaring me with a "boo" i just slowly turned around looking down at him.
"What was that? Was that supposed to shock me? I don't get it." I looked at him before scanning my own memories again. And recognize he's supposed to be my "best friend".
'friends huh.. Is this what normal do?'
He shrank back at my intense studying staring. Before stuttering out "hey! Hisui...uhm, are we still g-going on that other university trip? Uh-"
i interrupted him coldly ( pun intended. ) "speak like a man else you'll be treated like a dog." I stared at him, harshly criticizing his way of speech.
He tries speaking but i speak ahead "and yes, I'll be going to that other university trip. I look forward to it." I said it in a flat tone and he just looks at me shakes his head and walks away with a slight tremble in his legs.
'oh, did I scare him? Isn't correcting eachother what friends do? Right?' I tilted my head at him before turning around and walking away.
While he wonders why his 5'8 friend suddenly turned 6'3 in the span of a day.
I continued exploring the palace of knowledge, searching for clues how i ended up here before giving up and deciding to go back to my chambers.
I walked into the hallway that was too warm for my liking. I sneered before turning down the heat to 1 Celsius out of pure pettiness.
I open the door and walk into my chambers, or dorm.. whatever it is. I step in and scan the room before finding a girl sitting on a weird looking chair. Staring at a glowing box with another box sitting beside that box.
'is that what they call a PC? Hmm... Seems worthless.'
she notices me walking in and immediately jumps up and pulls up her underwear after immediately turning off the glowing box. "Oh, uhm... Hey! Hisui.. uh, how.. are you?" She looked at me and stood Infront of the glowing box.
"You know i should be asking that.." i looked back at her before shrugging and going back to my bed. I remembered what she was staring at.. pictures of me?
I ignored it, thinking she's just looking at me for research on my disease. Because that's what people do with "videos" and "pictures"... Right?
'other university trip... Sounds vague from his explantation, but it seems fun.. i guess.' i thought as i drifted asleep.
Meanwhile...
Areum's pov
'fuck.. he definitely knows! What if he thinks I'm a pervert oh my god!'
i grabbed my hair and pulling at it before relaxing. "i swear he got taller, he's so hot! And he dyed his hair silver too?! I think I'm gonna pass out.." i said to myself before just knocking myself out on my gaming chair.
