Chapter 47 - Sensei, I Just Want to Improve So Badly!

Rina-sensei's words brought smiles to the faces of many in the class. They had spent a lot of effort over the past two days trying to break through.

Ren's previous advice to not stubbornly stick to the martial arts path was completely correct. Because of this, over the weekend, students who found themselves unable to break through in martial arts decisively chose to stay home and meditate peacefully.

Furthermore, they had mastered a few spells from their textbooks. This led to everyone breaking through much faster in magic than in martial arts. It was exactly for this reason that they could all stand here together today.

Otherwise, they probably would have been sent right back to cultivate the moment they arrived. After all, Rina-sensei had already stated that anyone below Tier 3 was not allowed to enter the Dungeon.

"This expedition to the Dungeon will be led by myself and a few other teachers. However, unless it is an absolute emergency, we will not intervene. Therefore, once inside the Dungeon, you must rely on yourselves," Rina-sensei explained to the class.

The school's intention was for everyone to gain real combat experience. The teachers were only there to protect them from the shadows, not to act as babysitters.

As long as there was no mortal danger, they would not make a move and would only watch secretly. Only when faced with true peril would the teachers step in to ensure there were no fatalities!

However, they had to remember that the teachers would only ensure they didn't die. If they got injured, the teachers wouldn't care. If they couldn't accept this minor setback, they might as well drop out as soon as possible!

Rina-sensei made it very clear, and everyone listened intently. Looking at the youthful faces below, she finally couldn't help but say, "If anyone wants to back out now, you can come to me and apply!"

The students below exchanged glances, but not a single one stepped forward. Back out? How could they back out? They had been looking forward to exploring the Dungeon for a long time.

"Very well. It seems no one is backing out. Let's move out!" Having said her piece, Rina-sensei turned and walked toward the school gates. Seeing this, the class hurriedly followed.

Ren walked alongside Asuna and the others. Looking at Rina-sensei leading the way, Asuna couldn't help but ask, "Is this a group activity? Weren't we supposed to form parties? Or is the whole class moving together? If that's the case, we won't get much real experience, right?"

"I don't know. They probably have other arrangements. We just need to follow along," Ren shook his head. Who knew how the teachers planned to organize this?

By the time the group walked out of the school gates, several buses were already parked on the road outside. Shizuka Hiratsuka and Jin-sensei, who taught Ren's class, were also waiting there.

"Find a bus and get on!" Rina-sensei shouted to the students upon arriving outside, instructing everyone to board on their own.

Ren didn't hesitate for a second and walked straight toward Jin-sensei. Seeing this, Asuna and the others blinked, thought for a moment, and followed him.

Once he reached Jin-sensei, Ren smiled brightly and said, "Sensei, could you explain some Intermediate Magic to me on the bus later?"

That was exactly Ren's goal in seeking out Jin-sensei—to learn some Intermediate Magic. Now that he had broken through to Tier 4, he was capable of learning it.

Hearing Ren's request, Jin-sensei pushed up his glasses and stared at him. "To be honest, I've never seen a student as absurd as you. In just a few short days, you've finished a journey that takes most people years!"

Sensing the aura radiating from Ren, he was genuinely startled. This was simply too ridiculous. Had he actually broken through to Tier 4?

"Because I am a true genius. Other geniuses are merely the stepping stones to reach my threshold!" Ren declared with a straight face. Honestly, there was nothing wrong with his statement.

Jin-sensei rolled his eyes, having no desire to entertain Ren's nonsense. Instead, he said, "Get on the bus first and sit near the front. I'll explain some things about Intermediate Magic to you in a bit."

He didn't refuse Ren's request. Now that Ren was at Tier 4, he was fully capable of learning Intermediate Magic. Teaching him a bit more would also be helpful in the Dungeon.

Coupled with Ren's talent, he would likely master whatever was taught very quickly. The drive from the school to the Dungeon took about half an hour, which was plenty of time for a lesson.

"Alright!" Ren had no objections. He boarded the bus and found a seat near the front. Asuna and the others were very tactful, leaving the seat next to Ren empty.

Many in the class had overheard Ren's conversation with Jin-sensei, so they were happy to cooperate. Everyone left that specific seat open, waiting for Jin-sensei to take it.

A few minutes later, the bus was full. Jin-sensei boarded as well, spotted the empty seat next to Ren, and walked straight over to sit down.

Once the bus started moving, Jin-sensei began explaining the intricacies of Intermediate Magic to Ren. In truth, there wasn't much he could teach him right now, as he couldn't exactly demonstrate spells on a moving bus.

Therefore, he simply explained some methods on how to amplify Basic Magic now that Ren had reached Tier 4.

Listening to his words, Ren nodded. A general idea had already formed in his mind, and he understood everything perfectly.

"There aren't many Intermediate Magic spells I can teach you. According to regulations, you're supposed to learn these when you get to university. However, there is one spell I can teach you right now, and you should be able to learn it." Jin-sensei looked at Ren, then glanced at the weapon he was holding, and simply decided to teach him a weapon storage spell.

Hearing this, Ren instantly perked up. He stared intently at Jin-sensei, eagerly anticipating the new spell.

"This spell is for [Weapon Storage]. You've probably noticed that we teachers rarely carry weapons around, but that doesn't mean we don't have them!" With that, he raised his hand, and a purple Magic Circle materialized.

This Magic Circle was far more complex and intricate than the basic ones. As the Magic Circle activated, Jin-sensei pulled a magic wand out from within it.

"This is [Weapon Storage], a spell that involves spatial magic. It's incredibly difficult to learn, but for you, it shouldn't be a problem." Holding the wand in his hand, Jin-sensei explained it to Ren with utmost seriousness.

The moment he saw the spell, Ren's eyes lit up. This spell was way too useful! And it was spatial magic, too? Filled with excitement, Ren asked, "Can this spell only store weapons?"

*Was it a spell that opened up a pocket dimension where weapons could be placed? If it could open a spatial dimension, could it store other items as well?*

The instant Ren saw the other party cast the spell, his [Jianjigu] had already allowed him to master it in his mind. However, he still needed to ask the teacher for the specific details.

"I know what you're thinking. When I first learned this spell, I probably had the exact same thought as you. You're wondering if it can store other things, right? My answer is: no!"

With just one glance at Ren, Jin-sensei knew exactly what was going through his head. After all, anyone who came into contact with this spell would have the exact same thought. He was no exception!
