Observation Haki was much more difficult to cultivate, and Kaito Arisawa was relatively tolerant in this regard.
Armament Haki, however, was different.
Just as in the New World—where almost anyone with a bit of strength could use Armament Haki—Kaito hoped that everyone in his pirate crew would eventually master it.
When it came to the spread of Haki within the War Pirates, he strongly expected all members to learn Armament Haki.
After discussing Haki for a while, Robin continued explaining the crew's progress in other areas.
For example—Eight-Impact Fist.
"At present, regarding Eight-Impact Fist, more than seventy percent of the pirate crew has already learned it. Among them, all captain-level members and our cadre group have fully mastered it."
Eight-Impact Fist had been the earliest martial art Kaito obtained.
He had designated this excellent physical combat style as a mandatory skill within the pirate crew.
Up until now, this martial art had spread widely throughout the former Sword Gang, which had grown into the present War Pirates.
"More than seventy percent coverage is acceptable," Kaito commented. "But the next goal should be one hundred percent coverage. And simply learning it isn't enough. Everyone must be proficient with it—ideally even reaching the Grandmaster level."
Kaito spoke bluntly.
He invested massive resources into training his crew, so naturally he expected equally massive returns.
Although more than seventy percent of the crew learning Eight-Impact Fist sounded impressive, in Kaito's view it was still far from sufficient.
There were still people who had yet to learn the technique.
But more importantly, simply learning Eight-Impact Fist only meant understanding the basics.
Based on his own experience practicing the technique, Kaito divided mastery of Eight-Impact Fist into three stages:
Beginner.
Proficient.
Grandmaster.
Kaito himself had already reached the Grandmaster stage.
As for the rest of the crew, his expectation was simple.
They had to at least reach the Proficient stage before he would consider their training acceptable.
After discussing Eight-Impact Fist, the conversation moved on to the Six Styles.
Both were forms of martial inheritance, but the training difficulty of the Six Styles was far higher than Eight-Impact Fist.
To avoid overburdening his subordinates with too many training tasks, Kaito had not made the Six Styles a mandatory subject like Eight-Impact Fist.
Instead, they were offered as an elective skill.
Even so, many pirates had chosen to train in it.
"At present," Robin continued, "most of those who practice the Six Styles have only mastered individual techniques."
"For example, Mangu and Lafayette currently specialize in Shave and Moonwalk."
"The same goes for the captains. Many captains and squadron leaders have learned one or two techniques from the Six Styles."
After Robin finished explaining the progress of Six Styles training, Kaito fell silent for a moment.
He reflected on everything.
The resources invested had been enormous.
But the rewards were equally enormous.
After one month of focused training, not only had Kaito improved significantly, but the entire War Pirates crew had also undergone tremendous growth.
The development of the pirate crew was becoming stronger and stronger.
At this rate…
One day he would have the strength to compete directly with the Pirate Emperors.
Kaito smiled.
But deep within his eyes burned a wild ambition.
Dark clouds drifted slowly across the sky.
The gloomy weather made the atmosphere heavy.
Strong winds blew across the sea, stirring violent waves.
In weather like this, ordinary ships would never dare to sail.
Yet at that very moment, a massive fleet was advancing boldly across the sea.
The fierce wind and crashing waves had almost no effect on it.
Twenty-five ships sailed forward together.
Above them fluttered a skull flag with two crossed golden sabers behind it.
That flag symbol clearly identified the fleet.
It belonged to the War Pirates.
Inside a spacious training room aboard one of the ships, Neferpitou was silently practicing Eight-Impact Fist.
Her movements were steady and focused as she tempered both her physical techniques and her physical strength.
Not far away, Kaito sat cross-legged on the floor with his eyes closed.
His consciousness had sunk into the talent panel within his mind.
On that panel, several attributes were displayed clearly.
Constitution: 1.4 → 1.6
Talent: 1.3
Weapon Talent: 1.8
Armament Haki: 1.3 → 1.4
Observation Haki: 1.5
Conqueror's Haki: 1.1
Kaito studied the panel thoughtfully.
During the past month of training, not only had his strength increased, but the talent panel itself had also changed.
Both his Constitution and Armament Haki attributes had increased.
Constitution had risen by 0.2.
Armament Haki had risen by 0.1.
"So it's not that talent attributes can't change… it's just that they require breaking through one's original limits through training."
Kaito silently reached a conclusion.
The growth of his attributes had not happened all at once.
At the beginning, Constitution had only increased by 0.1.
But later, after continued training, Constitution increased again by another 0.1.
Armament Haki also rose by 0.1.
Looking back on his training during the month, Kaito understood the reason.
Every person had limits.
These limits were determined by their natural talent.
However, limits were not absolute.
Through enough effort and training, they could be broken.
The growth shown on the talent panel was essentially the result of him breaking through those limits.
Take Constitution as an example.
Originally, Kaito's natural limit had been 1.4.
But through intense training this month, his physical condition had grown stronger and stronger.
He had clearly broken through that limit.
Not just once.
But twice.
That was why Constitution had increased by 0.2.
Armament Haki had developed in the same way.
Because he had focused heavily on training it, his Armament Haki eventually broke through its limit once, increasing its talent attribute by 0.1.
"But this is only possible because of my special situation," Kaito thought with a quiet chuckle.
"For others, breaking through their limits wouldn't be nearly this easy."
Limits could indeed be broken.
But since they were limits, the difficulty of doing so was obvious.
Kaito was fully aware that his ability to break through limits was largely due to the talent panel.
Through the concentration of attributes, he could temporarily amplify his natural talents.
This effectively weakened the limits that normally restricted growth.
For ordinary people, those limits were like iron walls.
Chains that bound their potential.
But for Kaito…
Those limits were more like thin paper.
Paper that could easily be torn apart with just a little force.
