Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Something Feels wrong

It was just a normal morning on campus.

Students filled the hallways, laughing and gisting like they always did. Some were rushing to class, others just hanging around like they had all the time in the world.

Everything looked normal.Except… I didn't feel normal.Something felt off.

I couldn't explain it, but it was like this strange feeling sitting in my chest. Like something was wrong… but I didn't know what.I tried to ignore it.

"Maybe I didn't sleep well," I muttered to myself as I adjusted my bag and kept walking. Then suddenly

Bump."Oof—sorry!" a girl said quickly.

I stepped back a little.It's fine," I replied.

She smiled briefly before walking off with the guy beside her.

Icaught their names from their conversation.

"Tira, hurry up," the guy said."Relax, Gosha," she replied with a small laugh.I watched them for a second.

Something about them felt… strange.I couldn't explain it.But I didn't think too much about it.I just shook my head and continued walking.

Then it happened."Look back."I froze."…What?"I turned around immediately.Nothing.

Just students passing by like normal.I frowned.Okay… that's weird."

I rubbed my neck and faced forward again.

"Look back."This time, it was clearer.

Closer. My heart skipped.I slowly turned again And this time…

I saw her.Tira.

She was standing a few steps away, just… looking at me.

Then she raised her hand and waved.

A chill ran down my spine.

Something about the way she was looking at me didn't feel normal.

Before I could react, a student walked past her And just like that…She was gone.

I blinked."…Wait—what?"I rubbed my eyes quickly.No.No, that didn't just happen.

She was just there, I looked around again.

Nothing. No sign of her.I let out a shaky breath.

I'm just imagining things."Yeah.That had to be it.

There was no other explanation.

I turned and started walking faster this time.

I didn't like this feeling.Not at all.Then

"Duck."My body went stiff."…What?"

I looked around quickly.Nothing again.

My heart started beating faster.

"What is going on today…"I glanced down and suddenly noticed my shoelace was loose."Oh…"

I bent down to tie it.And in that exact moment CRASH!!!

A loud noise exploded behind me.

I flinched hard and turned around.

A car had crashed into the campus wall.

People were screaming,Running,Shouting,

"Call someone!"

"

What just happened?!"My eyes widened as I stared at the scene.A piece of metal from the car had slammed into the exact spot where I had been standing seconds ago.

If I hadn't bent down…If I hadn't listened

I swallowed hard."…I would've died."

My hands started shaking."That voice…"

It wasn't just random.

It warned me,Fear hit me instantly.

"Like… what is going on? Why is this happening to me?"

I didn't wait, I turned and ran.

Later I didn't go back to class.I ran straight home. I needed space.

I needed to think.I needed everything to just… stop.

I dropped my bag and fell onto my bed."I'm tired…"I closed my eyes.

But sleep didn't come. Not even close.

I kept thinking about everything.

The voice.The warning.The crash.

"This doesn't make sense…"

I turned on the bed, restless.

Then suddenly-"Close the windows."

My eyes snapped open."No…"

My voice came out low.I sat up slowly.

"I'm not doing this."I shook my head.

"I'm not listening anymore."

My heart was racing again.The room felt… different.Too quiet.Too heavy.Then--

My TV turned on by itself.

I froze."…What?"The news channel appeared on the screen.

A reporter was speaking urgently.

"A heavy wind is expected—residents are advised to close all windows and doors immediately—"

Before I could even process it—A loud wind howled outside. My window shook violently.

I jumped off the bed immediately."Okay—okay!"

I ran and quickly shut the windows. My hands were shaking.

"This is not normal… this is not normal…"

I locked everything and stepped back.

The room went quiet again. But this time—

It didn't feel safe.It felt worse.

I slowly went back to my bed and sat down.My body felt weak.My mind was spinning."I don't understand…"

I lay down slowly.

Forcing my eyes shut.Even though I knew something had started. And whatever it was…it wasn't going to stop.
