Chapter 43 - Victory

Boom!

While Peter and Otto were speaking, Eddie burst out of the water like a rocket, landing heavily on the bridge. His beast-like claws dug into the surface as he stared at them in silence.

Renzo descended slowly from the sky, his golden cloak gleaming beneath the night's stars.

The three of them stood together, facing the black demon before them.

"Jie jie jie! Now this is a proper gang fight!"

Eddie crouched low on all fours. Red and black veins pulsed across his body like molten lava, writhing violently beneath his skin.

"Look up there!"

Peter suddenly pointed toward the distant sky. The others followed his gesture.

A massive storm of yellow sand surged forward, vast enough to swallow buildings, descending like divine wrath upon the bridge.

The sandstorm blasted several people backward. Dr. Otto clung tightly to the railing, barely holding on. Under Renzo's protection, Peter remained on the bridge, but the surrounding vehicles weren't so fortunate—one after another, they were swept off like debris.

The swirling sand gathered overhead, forming an enormous face—Flint's—looming across the sky in a terrifying display.

"Flint!" Renzo shouted.

Flint condensed into human form and landed on the Brooklyn Bridge. Sand cascaded off his body in all directions, as if he hadn't washed in days.

"So, you've made your choice, haven't you, Flint?" Renzo said in a low voice. Seeing the ally he had once recruited now standing beside the enemy left a bitter feeling in his chest, though his tone remained steady. "I hope it's the right one."

Both sides instantly fell into combat stances. Peter tore off the tattered remains of his outer clothing, revealing the Spider-Man suit underneath.

"That Sandman is tough—physical attacks won't work on him!" Peter warned, clearly choosing Flint as his opponent. Against Eddie, he knew he wouldn't stand a chance in his current state.

"Peter Parker!"

A sharp, vicious voice cut through the air. Both Peter and Renzo looked up.

Several pumpkin bombs split open midair and hurtled toward them. Behind them, Harry Osborn soared forward on his glider, wearing the same twisted grin as his father, Norman Osborn.

"Hahaha!"

The bombs detonated violently, shaking the Brooklyn Bridge. The signage atop the bridge shattered and collapsed into rubble.

"Harry!" Peter shouted in disbelief. The figure before him overlapped with Norman's shadow—their madness nearly identical.

"Peter, that's not Harry anymore." Renzo grabbed Peter's shoulders, steadying him as he trembled, ready to charge forward. "He's the Green Goblin now. Wake up!"

Renzo slapped him sharply, his expression deadly serious.

"It's three against three now," Otto said grimly. "And we're at a disadvantage."

Peter had already been beaten severely by Renzo earlier, and the symbiote had been completely stripped from him by Eddie, leaving him weakened. Otto alone couldn't match any of their opponents. Only Renzo could truly contend with them.

"I'll fight Harry," Peter said, forcing himself to calm down. He looked at Renzo, his eyes clear and determined. "Give me a chance. Let me try to bring him back."

"Then don't hold back."

"I won't."

Their gazes collided like meteors, tension crackling in the air.

"Jie jie jie!" Eddie cackled as he charged Renzo head-on. Renzo met him without hesitation. Their bodies collided violently before Renzo drove him up into the sky.

Peter engaged Harry without hesitation, while Otto was left to face Flint—an unfortunate matchup.

Eddie opened his jaws wide, preparing to unleash another blast of black magic. Renzo caught his head with one hand, forcing it aside and redirecting the attack into the sea.

"Ha!"

Renzo seized Eddie's jaw with both hands, exposing rows of fangs and a blood-dark throat, then unleashed the Mind Stone's power directly inside.

Flash!

Golden energy pierced through, exploding out the back of Eddie's head.

"His regeneration far exceeds the original Venom…"

Renzo noted it calmly, even as Eddie's head burst apart like a firework—yet still lashed out with claws, striking Renzo repeatedly without leaving a scratch.

In an instant, Eddie's head reformed like petals closing together. He glared at Renzo, grinning wide, tongue lashing as the scarlet patterns across his body pulsed and writhed.

"Jie jie jie!" Venomized Eddie hissed, opening his mouth wide to swallow Renzo whole.

Renzo's gaze remained steady.

"Perfect timing. Let's test something new."

Eddie devoured him.

Or rather, tore him apart and forced him inside.

"Good."

The moment Renzo entered, his body shrank drastically—from full size down to mere millimeters.

Inspired by Ant-Man-like principles and Vision's density control, his mass condensed, making his already indestructible vibranium body even more durable.

"So this is what the inside of a symbiote looks like…"

He moved through Eddie's body, surrounded by black fluid. There were no human organs left—only shifting alien matter.

"For the sake of power, you abandoned your humanity. Pathetic."

Outside, Peter and Harry fought fiercely.

With aerial advantage and firepower, Harry pressed the attack, relentlessly pursuing Peter. Yet he remained cautious—he knew Peter was capable of miracles. Years of friendship had proven that.

Even when life crushed him, Peter endured. He faced hardship with optimism, always finding light in the chaos.

"Peter! Face me—like you faced my father!"

Harry's manic voice rang out behind him.

"Harry! I didn't kill your father—I never wanted to!" Peter swung sharply, turning midair with a burst of webbing. Even injured, his agility remained remarkable.

He flipped, landed on Harry's glider, and grabbed him from behind.

"Calm down!"

But Harry had long since abandoned reason. Only one thought remained—revenge.

"AAAH!" He roared, breaking free and hurling Peter into the sea.

Elsewhere—

Otto couldn't land a hit on Flint. His mechanical arms had no effective way to counter a body made entirely of sand.

A raging sandstorm engulfed him. Flint formed a massive tornado, pulling everything into its vortex. Otto struggled to block flying debris, but finer grains tore at his skin, drawing blood.

"Damn it!"

The air grew thin. Every breath filled his lungs with sand, choking him.

"Give up, Otto! I don't want to kill you!"

Flint's voice echoed from every grain.

"You're the one who should surrender, Flint Marco!"

A device extended from Otto's arm. The moment it touched the sand, a harsh green light erupted, illuminating everything.

"No!"

Flint felt his body weakening—losing cohesion, reverting to human form.

The storm collapsed. Sand fell like rain, gathering into a single figure.

"Welcome back, Flint," Otto said with a faint smile.

"Get out of my body!"

Eddie crashed down onto the bridge, clutching his abdomen. His body bulged and ruptured in places.

Renzo was inside him, tearing through everything, unleashing chaos from within.

From the outside, Eddie's body warped grotesquely—limbs forming and vanishing, shapes shifting unnaturally.

"I'm done playing."

Renzo suddenly expanded, bursting out of Eddie's body as if tearing through a cocoon.

In one motion, he grabbed Eddie and hurled him off the bridge.

A golden beam from the Mind Stone slammed into Eddie, driving him dozens of meters away.

Without the reinforcement of dark magic, Eddie's regeneration faltered. His strength dwindled with each repair.

Now, he lay on the ground, screaming as his body burned. The symbiote shrieked—its natural weaknesses to sound and fire returning.

"Do you enjoy his corruption that much?" Renzo murmured, watching the symbiote cling stubbornly to Eddie.

"Then don't blame me."

The golden energy softened, turning warm and soothing.

Eddie's agony faded. A sense of peace enveloped him—like resting in his mother's arms. Slowly, he drifted into unconsciousness.

The symbiote, enraged, tore itself free and crawled toward the edge of the bridge.

Just a little farther—into the ocean—and it could find a stronger host.

Clink!

A glass container dropped over it.

"...?"

The symbiote froze.

It slammed against the glass repeatedly.

Clink! Clink! Clink!

"...Forget it. I'm done. Let the world end."

It went still.

"This little thing is almost cute," Otto said, sealing the container.

"It's the host that makes it dangerous," Renzo replied as he descended.

"The fight's not over."

High above, Peter and Harry's battle reached its climax.

Peter fired webs across Harry's face, blinding him.

"Harry! Listen to me! I didn't kill your father!" He leapt onto the glider and struck him.

But Harry couldn't hear him.

Peter clogged the glider's engine with webbing. It stalled, and both of them began to fall.

"No!"

As Harry plummeted, Peter remembered that night—when Harry had fallen before, and he had failed to save him.

Not this time.

He fired a webline, catching Harry mid-fall.

Thump!

Peter fell into the dark ocean below, vanishing into the night.

Harry remained suspended from the bridge, unconscious.
