Pietro dragged Renzo's broken body away from the battlefield. He didn't know this man, but the infinite stones embedded in his body made him realize that this man was definitely important.
Looking at the black tower in the distance, the crimson world seemed to be getting farther and farther away from them. Renzo's consciousness was extremely blurred, and all kinds of irrelevant information kept popping into his head. One second it was a YouTube war video, the next it switched to some stranger buying a gift for a good friend, and the next it became stress relief and carpet cleaning.
The chaotic thoughts made it impossible for Renzo to think effectively. He was almost like an idiot. His limbs were broken, especially the lower half, which had been severed by the violent chaos magic. Most of the outer shell of his body had been destroyed and scorched, exposing the truth of the electronic components beneath.
This was the edge of New York City, and many people had gathered here. Pietro was leaning against a wall, panting and sweating profusely. He had run with all his strength, dragging the wounded away from hell on Earth.
He held his head, his eyes dull. He never imagined that the person behind the "mysterious red mist" reported by the outside world was actually his seemingly harmless sister.
How could someone as gentle as Wanda have carried out a massacre across New York? She must have made a mistake!
Pietro had thought so half an hour ago. From the first time he saw Wanda, he had been unable to accept that everything here was truly caused by her.
"Renzo!" Reed stepped forward to examine Renzo's body and found that it was severely damaged, much worse than when he had landed on Titan. The areas Reed had repaired back then were completely deformed, while even the other parts had suffered varying degrees of damage.
He has a vibranium body!
Reed couldn't imagine that there were things in this world capable of damaging vibranium.
He looked around. Of the fifty or sixty people who had participated in the battle, only seven or eight remained. The rest had died in the battle just now. Even Charles...
Eric leaned against the corner with a dull expression, his thin body curled up, his black-and-red cloak stained with the blood of an unknown person and almost covering him like a wide quilt.
Reed looked sad and hopeless. The Avengers had completely lost their fighting spirit. His wife was lying in the arms of the Thing, her mental energy almost completely exhausted. Susan's lifespan had been shortened considerably, leaving her withered and thin.
"We were defeated. Completely defeated."
Rogue lay unconscious beside Deadpool, heavy tears still clinging to the corners of her eyes. Bob had sacrificed himself in the battle just now to protect his fellow mutants, but... among the mutants who survived, only Eric, Rogue, and Deadpool remained.
"Motherfucker! Is this woman crazy? Can't she just live peacefully in New York with her two fatherless children? If she has no money, she could've had Pietro sell—damn it! This scene is almost catching up to Deadpool massacring the Marvel Universe! How am I supposed to top my own awesomeness?"
Deadpool cursed nonstop. The two swords on his back had been cut to pieces. Even though he was immortal, he had been buried underground without ever getting close to Wanda. He hadn't even had many opportunities to fight during the entire battle.
The great Deadpool was still hoping to restore his reputation through this battle. He was handsome, skilled, kind, and selfless. He was simply the dream lover of a billion girls! Young girls and boys between the ages of eight and eighty were all secretly dreaming of him! The world's greatest Avenger!
"Hey! Man, can you take care of your wife? Oh, I forgot. Your wife made you mad! She even popped your eyeballs out. Tsk, tsk, tsk. You two really know how to have fun! Hey, you two disappeared for a few hours, right? Hey, hey, hey!"
Deadpool made an extremely obscene gesture with both hands. Unfortunately, Renzo was completely unaware of everything happening around him. Otherwise, he would definitely have used that mouth of his to sew Deadpool's mouth shut again.
Deadpool also knew that Renzo couldn't receive any information, which was why he was so reckless. He still couldn't figure out why Vision had come here from the Marvel Studios next door...
Oh! This was also a Marvel Studios production!
Deadpool suddenly realized that the director had added another scene!
"What a terrible script! It doesn't show Deadpool's heroic side at all. There'll be no box office if they film it like this! Even Ryan Reynolds' blind grandma next door wouldn't watch it!"
Wade continued cursing, his avocado-like face half exposed. He moved closer to Renzo and carefully examined his handsome face.
Hey, he was still nowhere near as handsome as himself!
"Hey, hey, hey! Can you hear me?"
Wade leaned over with his big mouth open. He didn't hurt Renzo, but somehow managed to break his own wrist.
"Wade!" Reed stepped forward to stop the lunatic. "Don't be like this. It's the end of the world. We have to stay united..."
"Everyone's gone and dead. How are we supposed to stay united? Dozens of people, hundreds of people, thousands of people—united, and dead. A few people huddled together here are even worse off than rats in a sewer!"
Wade's voice was bitter. He pulled a bottle of vodka from somewhere, took a drink, then collapsed onto the ground in complete disarray, looking as though he no longer cared whether he lived or died.
Reed silently clenched his fists, then weakly relaxed them. How could he not know that what Wade said was true? Even if they united everyone, it had been useless. Now only a handful of them remained...
A sense of despair filled the man's heart.
He looked at his wife, Susan, who had been with him for so many years, and thought of their child, Franklin, an exceptionally gifted mutant who was also studying at Xavier's School. Through Franklin, Reed had become connected to Charles. Later, he had made more and more friends, fighting side by side and struggling together.
He knew he had low emotional intelligence and had offended many people with his usual words and actions. But Susan, Ben, and Johnny had always supported him from behind and helped him handle everything that didn't involve technology.
He had truly been happy during those days.
He leaned against the wall dejectedly, pressing against Renzo's broken body, and murmured, "What should I do?"
He was not Renzo, nor was he a visitor from another universe. This was his home, the place where he had grown up and which he had spent decades trying to protect! He couldn't escape. He had no retreat. All he could do was stay and fight to the death for this blue planet.
"What on earth am I supposed to do... Please, tell me!"
Reed grabbed Renzo's shoulders tightly and shook his damaged body. Tears flowed from his eyes and caught in his beard. Renzo seemed to sense something, and his body emitted bursts of crackling electrical noise.
Reed seemed to have grasped a lifeline and shook him harder. The electronic components hanging from Renzo's body rattled and fell loose, and a crimson gem also dropped to the ground, emitting a crimson glow...
...
"It's not bad. I finally have the strength to take care of someone. I'm very satisfied with you!"
Wanda looked down at the four people from above, the corners of her mouth lifting slightly.
Hope's phoenix feathers burned around her, and a black crown was faintly visible as she stared at Wanda in the distance.
Sif held Mjolnir high, blood trickling from the corner of her mouth, while her other arm hung uselessly at her side. The Uru armor covering her body had been corroded and damaged by the Chaos Magic, exposing large areas of snow-white skin.
Frank was half-kneeling on the ground. The Hell Cycle had been reduced to a pile of scrap metal and tossed aside. His bones creaked as cracks across them slowly repaired themselves. Every bone in his body had been broken countless times during the previous battle.
What was surprising was that Moon Knight still stood tall. There was a trace of blood on the crescent dart in his hand, and gray bandages covered his body. Although his expression could not be seen clearly, everyone could feel the sneer on his face.
Wanda stared at him coldly, a faint scratch visible on her face.
It couldn't heal!
Incredible!
Why? Why couldn't this man's attack heal? He was so ordinary and seemed to pose no threat, yet he was the first person to leave a wound on her body.
Even Hope's Phoenix Black Flame and Sif's lightning had battered her body into a wreck, and Renzo had nearly killed her, yet she was completely intact now.
Only this man... had left an indelible scar on her body.
Wanda's expression instantly darkened, and her wariness toward Moon Knight silently rose to its highest level.
"If you didn't have that strange red magic protecting you, I would've chopped her head off."
"Stop bragging. I was beaten so badly I had to run just now."
Mark's voice echoed inside his mind.
"It was a tactic!" the unfamiliar voice retorted, then sneered. "Her body is as fragile as paper, weaker than a werewolf's. If it weren't for that powerful magic, I would've killed her five or six times already."
The unfamiliar voice continued, "And her blood... it makes me feel excitement I haven't felt in a long time!"
He trembled with excitement. Beneath the mask, his face was filled with a bloodlust he hadn't experienced in years. He seemed to have returned to those days when he had killed countless people, spending every night and every year like a rat hiding in a sewer, only able to emerge when Steven and Mark were resting. He was as gloomy as a rat.
He was the third personality born within Mark.
The personality forged through constant fighting and adventure—the most dangerous and strongest one!
Jack Lockley!
Mark stared at Jack gloomily. He had never sensed this personality before. If Jack hadn't spoken on his own, Mark might never have realized that such a dangerous man was lurking inside his body.
Compared to him, Steven was simply too cute. He was like a rabbit; feed him some grass and he'd follow along.
Very silly and easy to use.
Jack smiled disdainfully. He had been silently watching those two fools within the conscious world. As a protagonist, Mark wasn't bad. His strength wasn't particularly great, but he possessed an adventurous spirit.
He was ruthless! Reasonable enough!
As for Steven...
He was such an idiot that Jack couldn't even be bothered to look at him.
Fortunately, Steven had died under Wanda's magic, allowing Jack some time to breathe.
Mark's eyes widened when he heard this. He would never allow Jack, who had appeared out of nowhere, to insult Steven.
He was his brother.
Wanda didn't understand the struggle taking place inside Moon Knight's head. Suddenly, a huge scarlet palm formed above the four of them. It was as dark as a storm cloud and suddenly pressed downward. It was the size of a mountain as it crashed toward them.
Jack instantly hid behind Sif and used the power of lightning to form an electric shield. Mjolnir was drawn into a frenzy, completely shielding the two men behind her.
Hope didn't care about an attack of this level at all. She flew forward and began a close-range offensive battle with Wanda.
The black flames of the Phoenix wrapped around her arms as she clawed at Wanda's beautiful face like a madwoman, but Wanda remained disdainful.
"Turn off!"
The flames around Hope's body suddenly retracted, and her eyes briefly became clearer.
Blood seeped from the corners of Wanda's mouth. Extinguishing the Phoenix's flames was not an easy task for her. The backlash she had to endure was considerable. Wanda felt as though her internal organs were being squeezed and the oxygen in her lungs was constantly being drained.
The Scarlet Witch found it difficult to breathe.
But Hope's condition was even worse. The extinguished Phoenix flame not only deprived her of the ability to fly, but all the power granted by the Phoenix vanished with a single word from Wanda!
Hope was like a meteor, falling from a height of hundreds of meters and crashing heavily into the ground, kicking up a huge cloud of dust.
"Ha... ha..."
Wanda couldn't hold it back. A large mouthful of blood suddenly sprayed from her mouth.
The opportunity had come!
Jack's eyes lit up, and Sif instantly understood his plan. She waited for the man to leap up, then threw Mjolnir into the air.
Jack grabbed the hammer's strap and flew toward Wanda. Lightning flashed as the hammer struck the woman. Jack also had to endure the pain of being tempered by thunder, and his right hand went numb from the force.
Silver light trailed behind him in a brilliant arc of electricity. Jack smiled bloodthirstily, and a long blade instantly extended from his left arm. Khonshu's power of the moon exploded, blocking the black magic that attacked him.
Khonshu, who was far away in Egypt, felt as though his entire body had been drained.
No! You can't hit her like this!
The witch raised her hands, tilted her head, and sneered as scarlet mist overflowed from her palms.
"Eye of Judgment!"
Wanda froze.
Jack had actually pulled a cell phone from his clothes. Frank's dry, cold face suddenly appeared on the screen, catching Wanda off guard. The Eye of Judgment could not cause any effective damage to Wanda, but it could create a moment of confusion.
Pfft!
Blood splattered!
Wanda's left shoulder was pierced by Jack, and an indescribable pain shot through her body.
She was terrified.
How could this man hurt her with such weak lunar power?
Wanda thought hard but couldn't figure out the reason.
At that moment, the Moon Knight state was lifted, and Jack's face was exposed before Wanda's eyes, along with his frail human body, as fragile as an insect.
"Leave it to you!" Jack yelled before fainting.
"Always leaving the mess to me! Whether it's you or Steven, don't go too far!"
Mark woke up and roared at the witch, his pupils flashing with lightning.
"Mjolnir!"
Wanda was still dazed, and the back of her head suddenly felt cold.
The Uru hammer struck the witch hard in the back.
She had never dreamed that this man could actually lift Mjolnir!
...
"That's enough."
Reed's expression was extremely solemn, but the light of hope had returned to his eyes.
"Oh, ho, ho, ho, ho! Vision is no longer a vibranium boy. Tsk, tsk, tsk. Doesn't that mean you've gone soft?"
Wade yelled, but no one paid him any attention.
Renzo stood opposite Reed, clenched his fists in disbelief, then pinched his own cheeks.
They were soft.
He could feel them.
The golden gem on his forehead was hidden beneath the flesh, barely visible, and the same was true of the two gems on his chest. The Reality Gem in his palm was not as bright as the others and appeared somewhat dim.
"Don't worry. I'll definitely succeed this time!"
