Chapter 38 - The Tenth Exchange — A Mysterious Pokémon Egg

"I agree to this."

Orochimaru nodded and accepted, then asked, "You're still planning to leave Konoha? Have you decided? When?"

As for a descendant of the Senju, Orochimaru naturally understood—this should be one who had blended into the village population.

Didn't expect one to slip through. How fortunate…

He became even more interested in Shiro Akira.

Back then, to cooperate with Danzo's experiments, Danzo had given him a list of Senju descendants hidden among Konoha's civilians.

Many of those children had been secretly captured for experiments—and most had died.

Only one survived.

That was Yamato.

Of course, he wasn't called Yamato yet—he was still known as "Tenzo" and remained within Danzo's Root.

Orochimaru had never told Tsunade about this.

He feared that if she found out, she would completely fall out with him—and even with the Third Hokage.

"I'll agree too."

Jiraiya followed up, then looked at Tsunade and asked, "Do you really have to leave? The ninja world isn't peaceful right now—the village needs you."

Tsunade waved her hand impatiently. "I've already made up my mind. No need to persuade me further. Probably in about six months—I need to teach Shiro Akira properly first. You both know my condition… I can't help much anyway."

Jiraiya and Orochimaru both knew about her hemophobia.

It was a psychological illness—not something easily cured.

Jiraiya fell silent for a moment, then forced a smile. "Maybe getting out and clearing your mind will help. Who knows, your condition might improve. Just remember to come back and visit. We'll miss you."

Orochimaru nodded as well. "Be careful out there. The ninja world is unstable right now. Don't let other villages set their sights on you."

A top-tier medical ninja was extremely valuable.

And with Tsunade's hemophobia, if enemies found out, she would be in real danger.

"I understand. I'll be careful."

Tsunade nodded.

One day earlier—

"Heh! The cooldown's ready again. Time for another exchange!"

"This time… I'll use this!"

Shiro Akira stood in his secret training base, rubbing his hands excitedly as he looked at the unconscious wild boar ninja beast in front of him.

This boar was over five meters long and more than two meters tall—like a massive beast.

More importantly, it already possessed chakra, roughly at the level of an elite Genin.

A proper ninja beast.

"Hopefully I'll get a good Pokémon this time…"

Shiro Akira thought to himself.

Last time, he had exchanged a normal wild boar and obtained a bag of Berry seeds from the Pokémon world.

Those seeds had already sprouted.

Based on the exchange patterns he had deduced so far, using a ninja beast this time should also connect to the Pokémon world.

Without hesitation, he placed his hand on the boar's head and silently activated his Exchange Talent.

In the next instant, the ninja beast vanished.

At the same time, an image appeared in Shiro Akira's mind—

In the Pokémon world—

At the Pallet Town, inside Professor Oak's Laboratory—

Professor Oak was eating instant noodles while watching an incubation device on the lab table.

Inside the device was a Pokémon egg.

"For now, its condition has stabilized. Hopefully it will hatch successfully."

Professor Oak said with anticipation.

Beside him, Daisy Oak smiled. "It will. Even though it went through Team Rocket's experiments, didn't you already restore it, Grandpa?"

"Hahaha!"

Professor Oak laughed. "That's true! This little one is lucky. It's still an egg—if it had already hatched, I can't imagine the kind of suffering it would have endured."

"Oh right, Daisy—how long will you be staying this time?"

His granddaughter had only returned a couple of days ago.

She had previously been traveling in the Kalos region.

"About a month."

Daisy estimated, then looked at her grandfather slurping noodles and sighed helplessly. "You really love instant noodles, don't you? Good thing I had the family set up a nutritious instant noodle factory. Otherwise, I'd be seriously worried about your health."

Her grandfather loved instant noodles, and because he often got too absorbed in research, he barely had time to eat—so he practically treated them as a staple.

"HAHA! That's thanks to you! You're the filial one—unlike your father or that brat Gary, always making me worry."

Just then—

The incubation device and the Pokémon egg suddenly vanished from the lab table.

"Wh—?!"

Both Professor Oak and Daisy were stunned.

Before they could react—

A massive creature suddenly appeared on the lab table.

At the same moment, it slowly opened its eyes—glowing red.

Thankfully, the table was made of metal.

Otherwise, it would have collapsed under the weight.

"Eh?!"

Professor Oak exclaimed, "Th-This is… a wild boar? It is, right? I've seen it in historical records!"

In this world, ordinary animals had long since disappeared into history.

"It does look like one…"

Daisy said in shock, then quickly noticed something was wrong. She immediately released her Pokémon and warned, "Grandpa! Something's off about it—it looks angry. We should subdue it first."

For some reason, the boar gave her a dangerous feeling.

Which was strange—according to historical records, wild boars were just normal animals.

"Ah? Oh!"

Professor Oak snapped out of it and released his own Dragonite.

"Old partner, hold it down! Be careful—don't hurt it! This thing is a treasure!"

"This might be the only living normal animal left in the world. Its research value is incredible!"

At this moment, Professor Oak was even more excited than if he had discovered a rare Pokémon.
