Chapter 7 - Chapter: 8 The Coffee Date & The Moment of Truth

## **The Coffee Date & The Moment of Truth**

The coffee shop was tucked away in a quiet corner of the mall, the air thick with the rich aroma of roasted beans and the soft pitter-patter of rain against the glass. It was the perfect romantic backdrop, but the air between them was humming with a different kind of energy.

As they sat there, their conversation flowed effortlessly, yet Abraham's gaze kept wandering. He wasn't looking at his coffee; his eyes were locked on Zooni—tracing the line of her neck and the curve of her lips. His tone began to shift, losing its playful edge and adopting that deep, magnetic pull from their late-night calls.

"Zooni... the scent of your emerald green suit is drifting across the table," Abraham murmured, his voice dropping to a low, husky vibration. "I can't even focus on my coffee. All I can focus on is you."

Flustered, Zooni took a quick sip of her drink. "Abraham... there are people here."

"Then let's go somewhere where there aren't any," he replied with a devastating smirk, standing up abruptly.

He led her toward a secluded, VIP corridor of the mall—a quiet niche near the private lounges. Before Zooni could even realize where they were, Abraham moved with lightning speed. He caught her arm and pinned her gently but firmly against the wall in the shadows of the alcove.

**Abraham:** (In that same raw, obsessive tone from the phone) "Last night, I was only talking... but right now, Zooni, I actually want to kiss you."

Zooni's breath hitched. He was so close that the heat of his body and the scent of his expensive cologne overwhelmed her senses. He leaned in, his face inches from hers.

**Zooni:** (Voice trembling) "Abraham... please... someone will see. Stop!"

She pressed her hands against his chest, trying to create distance, but Abraham wasn't playing anymore. He caught her wrists and pinned them above her head against the cool marble wall.

**Abraham:** "You have no idea, Zooni... how long I've waited for this moment. This fragrance of yours... it's driving me insane."

He buried his face in the crook of her neck, inhaling deeply, lost in her scent. Zooni felt her resolve melting. His warm breath against her skin felt like a fever.

**Abraham:** "You are breathtaking... and this scent... it's intoxicating."

Zooni closed her eyes tight. Her heart was hammering against her ribs like a trapped bird. As his lips hovered just a fraction away from hers, she found the strength to speak through the haze of attraction.

**Zooni:** (Her voice shaking with emotion) "Abraham... look at me. Please. I'm... I'm not ready for this. Please let me go."

Abraham froze. He didn't let go, but he rested his forehead against hers, their breaths mingling in the small space between them.

**Abraham:** (His voice thick with sincerity) "Zooni... I love you. I don't want to scare you, but I'm losing my self-control. When I look at you, when I'm this close to you, I forget everything else."

Zooni looked into his eyes and saw the truth there. She cared for him—maybe she even loved him—but her values and her innocence held her back.

**Zooni:** (Softly but firmly) "Abraham... stop. Please listen to me. We are Muslims. This... this isn't right for us. Our relationship is new, and we should keep it pure. If you truly love me, then respect me. Respect my boundaries."

Her words hit him like a splash of cold water. The haze of passion cleared instantly. He looked at the mixture of fear and integrity in her eyes and felt a sharp pang of regret.

Taking a deep, shaky breath, Abraham stepped back. He released her wrists and created space between them.

**Abraham:** (Filled with remorse) "I am so sorry, Zooni. I... I got carried away by my emotions. You're right. We have boundaries, and I should have honored them. Please forgive me. Your respect means more to me than anything."

Zooni straightened her clothes, a wave of relief washing over her. She felt a new sense of pride in him for listening.

**Zooni:** "Thank you... for understanding."

**Abraham:** (A small, determined smile returning to his face) "But remember... I'm still 'Mr. Determined.' I'm just going to do this the right way now. So... when can I come to meet your Mom?"
