Satya began to meditate to clear out his thoughts and focus only on the issue
and try to find a way to solve it.
The world was eerily quiet,
nothing like a forest.
There was just one sound, and that sound was of the tree burning.
It was a sound that put Satya's ill-boding thoughts to ease because it was not a made-up sound of something sinister trying to sound harmless.
It was the sound of a fire.
Fire, when thought of, is quite a fascinating thing actually.
Since the beginning of human evolution, fire has been a thing of high importance.
And even before human evolution, fire was one of the basic four elements.
These four elements are a necessity for the creation of life.
And when we talk about life,
life in itself is a paradox because of consciousness.
Consciousness exists only for humans.
It may exist for animals, but we can never know that.
Consciousness is an amazing thing actually,
its ability to think outside the norms.
But the most amazing and the most basic skill of consciousness is the ability to create new thoughts.
Yet my consciousness was compromised here in this forest.
I, as someone who always thought in a cold, calm, and rational way in dire situations, was filled with emotions this time.
I understand that I can feel fear and become terrified sometimes too,
but how can the basic instinct of survival become so weak in a situation as hopeless as this?
The instinct of human survival is to become cold.
No matter how good of a heart a person has, if they can't control their instincts,
they will always prioritize themselves unconsciously.
Yet I prioritize my survival both consciously and unconsciously,
yet I became unable to look at the peculiarities of this forest,
the thoughts outside the norms.
Maybe it's the magic of this forest
to make sure a person can never get outside,
to be ever-changing like a labyrinth,
yet still remain a forest.
Maybe this forest is like a sealed or enclosed forest that, when one comes into this by chance,
they are trapped in this forest full of confusion and fear of the unknown.
This is enough thinking about my emotions.
Let's think about how to get out of this forest.
If this forest can change its ground and terrain, then there is no point in trying to get out by walking.
Because if this forest was truly made to trap someone,
I will never be able to cover the distance because when I sleep at my best, the forest will put me in the center once again.
So I have to figure out some sort of loophole to get out of this forest.
Now let's talk about the burning tree.
I burned that tree on an impulse when I saw the lines
because of the three basic human responses: Fight, Flight, and Freeze.
I chose fight unconsciously, yet because there was nothing to fight, I chose to burn this tree as a way to calm my emotions.
But that actually helped me find out a lot.
It made me clear-headed and proved my point that this forest was not normal,
and it made me terrified of a single thing.
A will was helping reality extinguish my fire.
Maybe it's the will of this forest or its guardian,
but whichever one the will belongs to, I gotta be on guard.
But now my mind is tired,
and my body hurts from walking for two days straight.
Now I need to sleep, but
I have to be wary,
Satya analyzed the situation in his meditation.
Now that I have analyzed the situation, I will rest till tonight
and prepare a plan on how to sleep,
Satya said, standing up from his meditation.
Satya cooked some food and began to rest.
He was still vigilant against the will that helped reality.
After resting till the night,
Satya had thought of how he would sleep tonight.
The will and the entire forest are afraid of fire, so I will make a big circle of fire, then I will sleep inside the circle.
I know it is stupid and can hurt me as well,
but what can you do when the whole forest is against you?
I have to do with what I have.
Complaining doesn't solve problems; you have to solve them yourself.
So Satya began making a circle of fire.
He had to cut many tree branches, like hundreds,
to make a circle big enough so he could actually sleep and not get cooked alive.
The entire evening went in this way.
When the circle was ready, Satya just used a branch from the burning tree to light up the circle
and slept on the ground.
He also made a smaller circle of water around him so he would feel at least a bit cool and the burning sticks wouldn't roll toward him and burn him.
Satya slept in a ridiculous manner that night, but oh, what could he do in a situation as desperate as this?
"An ethereal will helping reality
The world against my will
Hoping for the best
Preparing for the worst
I sleep a night of unrest"
