Thirty minutes later the final crowd of dockworkers dispersed and the security guards moved inside for their rotation.
At that moment Lawrence acted. Using a remote, localized frequency jammer she had wired into her dashboard, she overrode the warehouse's cameras. She slipped out of the car and snuck to the side of the warehouse where a small unlocked door created access inside the building.
Minutes later she exited through the door, running some miles away. She clicked the remote detonator in her hand before continuing her run to the car.
CRACK-BOOM
A violent, localized explosion tore through the southern loading bay of the warehouse, sending a shower of brick, twisted iron, and burning shipping crates into the night air.
As she ran, Lawrence dropped an executive security badge, the Torredo ID she had generated earlier, right onto the wet concrete of the loading dock, forcing it into a crack where the investigators couldn't miss it.
