Chapter 1: Saint
"Guard the front with all your might!! We may not survive but this little girl has to live!"
The man with a muscular body the size of a grizzly bear and long red hair bellowed out to his three other companions to hold the line and protect the child while deflecting and oncoming attack from a much larger creature more than 5 times his size.
"Sir Loid ! We're getting pushed back leaving no room for the little girl to escape!"
Blocking the another blow from the creature the man with white hair was flung three paces. He coughed up black blood showing how bad is internal injuries were.
"Grimm and just focus on blocking while I heal you guys!"
The young and beautiful woman with short black hair yelled saying she'll heal them even if they get hurt.
"It's my turn right Reina?"
With a slight nod and a white flash blinding the creature causing it to attack wildly. Lumi instantly appeared in front of it with her blue aura clashing with the creatures yellowish gray aura.
I'll attack with everything I got!"
The sliver haired Beauty drew a half circle with her sword to deflect the oncoming punch, then countered with a thrust making a hole big enough to fit a car. The unknown beast fell with a thud! No longer moving or even breathing as if it had died.
"Hmph! It wasn't as tough as I thought it be, come on guys lets take the girl home already!
With her cheerful yell of victory Lumi turned her back thinking she had killed the monster. However it stood back up and released a blood red beam which sent Lumi flying into a near by boulder leaving her body a bloody mess.
Lumi no!!!
They continued to fight with no chance of winning.
No just leave me and escape I'm nothing more than a foolish wander.
I tried to speak but nothing comes out not even a whisper I continue to try as I watch them fight a losing battle I could hear there bones pop as they broken and felt their blood go splat on my faces. With one last effort I try to speak, but then I lost consciousness .
Right I have always lived in darkness and have never known light, it feels as though I am blind and submerged under a thick swamp closed off to my five senses. Yet I can somehow sense that I'm moving through space at unbelievable speeds.
Even my sense of time is distorted, I don't even know how long it's been or if time is passing at all. Perhaps I'm lost outside of the flow that confined me to space and time itself.
While in this state I hear and see nothing… nothing but now I feel constant pain. The pain of solitude along with a a painful heat that consumes my body, a pain similar to hell and It's been like this for as long as I can remember.
"save me."
Though I had actually said nothing I was able to project my will which was less than a whisper, and more like a thought onto the universe. Then the universe- no a higher being gave an answer.
This being was the first thing I saw in this world.
Looking at me was His radiant light flowed into me from his yellow eye. Giving me and indescribable sense of peace as it filled me with warmth as he appeared in the form of a huge eyeball with 8 wings.
"I am here!!!"
The mysterious being stopped my movement instantly and healed the burns and scars on my body.
"The name's Gabriel it's certainly nice to meet you, just follow me and I shall guide you to your destiny ."
Gabriel spoke with a warm soft voice as he beckoned me to follow him. He flew in front of be leaving only a fragrant smell overpowering even the scent of death and decay of the land. He flew over the corpses then he point at the corpses and sunk into the ground leaving only beautiful flowers, and then glanced at the blood. Which became purified turning it into fresh water. he then looked at me.
"It's seem there's been a battle here I shall say a pray. Lord may you guide these lost souls into the eternal kingdom and grace with eternal peace!"
With tears streaming down from his eye he prayed for the souls of the dead, and as if heeding his plead souls flew up from the ground into the light never to be seen again.
I held in my tears for the death of the people who tried to save me. However I came to a realization.
How am I alive if they died? It doesn't make sense, I mean it's possible it left after seeing me be unconscious thinking I was dead. Yet that does seem right either, the bodies I saw were mangled beyond belief and the bones have started to rot. Suggesting they had been long dead.
still it hungered for more bloodshed. i think this to myself looking at brutal mess the beast had made
"Did they die together or…
This creature that lives off of instinct attacking any living thing indiscriminately let me go? I don't know and I'm not going to find an answer like this. I'll figure it out later I should just ask what Gabriel meant by "destiny".
"Hmm. Excuse me I've been meaning to ask you'd said you're going to guide me to my destiny. Yet I don't understand what you mean.
"I'll answer all your question shortly, but first Drink the water so you'll be full and refreshed ." I nodded and did as he said not really expecting much.
I exclaimed. The taste was different than I expected it was plain but not tasteless. It was cold and smooth making it refreshing.
My hands trembled as I scooped more water into my hand.
While scooping I saw my reflection. A small skin girl with long black and red hair. Beautiful brown skin and red and purples eyes. With my stomach full and my thirst quenched I slowly rose up.
It's the first time I've seen myself I'm pretty cute.
"It's seems your finished now so follow me will talk I'll answer questions and tell you why I'm here.
I didn't speak I simply nodded my head slowly.
"Allow me to tell you a brief summary of your past, and explain where we are then I'll answer your questions.
"First off you were born here your parents originate from a different place on a separate plane of existence, and because all the time up to conception was spent on their home planet. Which is when they teleported here, your time is slowed making you over 94 quadrillion years old.
It's one billion years here per one second in the mortal realm .
So even though you sealed your memories for 12 mortal years, It will take countless years to unseal. You sealed your memories after saving your parents and friends which is strange but impressive. However the most impressive thing is you saved your parents within a thousand years! In the form of a baby no less."
"Gabriel enthusiastically explained my past after which he gave me a brief explanation of hells time difference then moved on to my question. Even the fact that my body grows slower as well.
We traverse the rivers of fire, mountains of death and darkness, under the sky a deeper red stain than blood as we calmly stroll through hell.
To think that not only did I seal my memories but found away to escape hell and not leave with them is strange.
I'd like to ask him what happened but it doesn't feel like he'll answer.
"Why didn't I leave with them? If I was able to send them home why couldn't I-"
My sentence was cut short by Gabriel who's air had change into a cold frosty wind and a serious look on his face.
As he simply said.
"I can't tell you that."
We walk or in his cause flew in silence for a little while before he spoke again.
"I apologize for being so harsh early. I really can't tell you about it, not now at least."
So the current me is not ready.
I should ask about his purpose for coming here.
"What was your reason for saving me again?"
Without hesitation he spoke loudly in a cheerful manner.
"Why of course because of God, my lord has sent me here with a message. Thou shall be my most faithful servant and shall be given the title saint!"
