Chapter 124 - Chapter 60 Mordred: Father, I've Grown Up!

"It's, it's finished!" Gordes crawled out of the homunculus workshop with a decadent expression, then looked at Caules with a dazed face and shouted, "Special version homunculus, proficient in all known languages in the world, proficient in mathematics, physics, and chemistry knowledge, proficient in various teaching methods, and has a lifespan of over ten years!"

After speaking, Gordes directly performed a sleep on the spot.

Ever since the Holy Grail War began, he hadn't closed his eyes properly for several days.

Although he had tried to use alcoholism to make himself fall asleep, in terms of results, it wasn't as effective as working until exhaustion.

The ownership of the homunculi had all been transferred to Daniel, and now Yggdmillennia no longer had any homunculi they could provide for their own use.

"Umu!" Frankenstein, who had been forcibly recalled by Caules using a command spell when Karna released his Noble Phantasm, poked Gordes with her war hammer.

It was as if to say, 'Don't sleep, your work isn't finished yet, hurry up and get up to continue working.'

Seeing that Gordes had no reaction at all, Frankenstein shrugged helplessly and shook her head along with it.

"Now, the Red Faction only has Rider and Saber left," Celenike licked her lips and looked at Mordred. "And we, the Black Faction, only have three Servants left: Rider, Berserker, and Archer."

Well, although the Black Faction has the advantage in numbers, the comparison in combat power is surprisingly unfavorable.

Therefore, whoever can win the favor of the Ruler Faction now will be the final victor!

Celenike sighed with some frustration.

But the problem is, among the Servants present, who can compare to the relationship between 'Ruler' and Red Saber?

Although Red Saber was the one who drove the destruction of the 'Ruler' of Justice Kingdom during her lifetime, judging by how they interact, this rift has long since been eliminated.

So, did they, the Black Faction, lose this Holy Grail War?

And to lose so thoroughly at that.

Still the same old question: is it too late for her to defect to the Ruler Faction now?

"No, the Black Faction now only has Rider and Berserker left, and the Red Faction only has Saber remaining." Assisted by four magical mechanical arms, Fiore moved from the highest point of the castle to the place where everyone had gathered.

"Just a moment ago, the battle between Red Rider and Archer was decided." Fiore looked at Shishigou Kairi and said, "Red Rider only left the field five seconds after Archer did."

"Huh? They didn't die under Lancer's Noble Phantasm just now?" Shishigou Kairi asked, pushing his sunglasses up in surprise.

"Achilles has a Noble Phantasm with the property of World Protection," Daniel explained from the side, "which happens to be the nemesis of the Noble Phantasm that Karna just released."

"Hiss—releasing a Noble Phantasm of that level without a master, and still having the ability to survive for a few extra seconds after defeating Archer… isn't that guy, Rider, a bit out of the ordinary?" Shishigou Kairi asked, scratching his scalp.

"In other words, there are only three of us Servants from opposing factions left now?" Mordred manifested her kings sword, shouldered it, and looked at Astolfo and Frankenstein. "Do you want to go out and have a fight now to decide the winner?"

"Uu-ah!" Frankenstein raised her warhammer without fear.

"Eh? Fighting again? I don't want to fight; wouldn't it be better if we all sat down, chatted, and had some tea?" Astolfo asked, dejected.

"Rider!" Celenike gritted her teeth in anger.

"Yes, yes, yes… I know, let's fight then!" Astolfo sighed listlessly.

"Mordred, don't embarrass us," Morgan, who was nearby, suddenly said.

"Tsk." Mordred spat to the side in annoyance.

"Alright! Let's get ready then." Daniel said as he prepared to leave. "After watching the final duel, we should head back to Sigisval Town to continue observing the progress of Jack the Ripper's deliverance."

"Let's go follow and watch, too; after all, it's the final battle," Fiore suggested to Caules and Celenike.

No one refused.

In an instant, the hall became much emptier.

Only Gordes, fast asleep, was left abandoned on the floor.

"Come to think of it, where is the Ruler Faction's Lancer? Why don't I see her?" Fiore, who had come to the courtyard to watch the battle, scanned the area but couldn't see Jeanne, who had just used her Noble Phantasm to negate the aftermath of Karna's Noble Phantasm, so she asked curiously.

"I don't know, I haven't seen her," Caules replied, shaking his head. "Maybe she left the field in the aftermath of Red Lancer's attack just now."

Celenike, standing nearby, couldn't help but roll her eyes.

The homunculi in the courtyard and the castle itself hadn't been blown away by the aftermath; how could that Lancer possibly be in trouble?

Being quite thoughtful, she had already come up with several reasons for the Ruler Faction in a short amount of time.

A three-way Servant melee!

Although that's how it was described, from what everyone could see, it looked more like a delinquent girl beating up a bride-dressed girl and a cross-dressing boy.

Because her armor had been slashed to pieces by Karna earlier, Mordred now had to fight the two of them in her casual clothes.

Her defense wasn't as high as before, so Frankenstein's electrical attacks still had a certain effect on Mordred.

As for Astolfo… this guy talked a big game, but when fighting, he specifically targeted people's lower parts.

However, considering the characteristics of his lance, attacking the lower parts was quite normal.

To avoid losing a leg, Mordred focused most of her attention on dealing with Astolfo.

So this guy got beaten up the worst.

"Mordred, do you want some armor? Mother can provide you with a set," Morgan, watching from the sidelines, suddenly called out.

"Get lost! Even if I get electrocuted into charcoal, I will absolutely never ask you for anything!" Mordred's temper grew increasingly volatile.

Shishigou Kairi found it spine-chilling and tried to get closer to Daniel and Aura to feel safer.

"Hmm? Is the final battle starting?" Artoria, having returned leisurely from the battlefield, raised her eyebrows as she watched the fight and then stood still beside Morgan.

"Yes, as it stands, the battle is in Mordred's favor," Daniel nodded and replied.

Although Mordred was being electrocuted pretty badly, Astolfo and Frankenstein were being beaten up even worse.

Daniel highly suspected that with the way these two were fighting together, it was very likely they would be forced out of the field before they could make Mordred lose her combat capability.

After all, in terms of raw strength, the two of them really couldn't beat Mordred.

By now, Shishigou Kairi, Caules, and Celenike all had only one command spell left.

The timing for using this last command spell was crucial, so the three of them were staring intently at the battlefield, not daring to look away for even a second.

In the end, Astolfo feigned a weakness, luring Mordred into the trap and creating an opening for Frankenstein.

Frankenstein didn't waste the opening her teammate had created; she flipped over, climbed directly onto Mordred's neck, and immobilized her arms with her legs.

"Uu-aaaaah—!" Violent electrical currents sparked and splashed from Frankenstein's warhammer.

"Berserker…" Caules, as if he understood Frankenstein's language, slowly raised the hand that still held his last command spell. "Release your Noble Phantasm with full power, Berserker!"

"You bastard!" Feeling the threat level of that violent current, Mordred became somewhat anxious, and her struggling became increasingly frantic.

"Rider, assist Berserker with full power!"

Celenike seized the opportunity to give Astolfo a final enhancement.

Although it was a pity that she would no longer be able to keep her hands on Astolfo, if she demonstrated her own combat aptitude, perhaps the Ruler Faction would be more inclined to agree when she defected to them later.

Anyway, Celenike had no intention of staying on the sinking ship that was Yggdmillennia.

"Oh!" This was the first time Astolfo realized his master actually had moments where she was decent.

For the first time, Astolfo knocked off Mordred's leg before she could even react.

"You guys!" Looking down at her missing leg, unable to continue struggling, Mordred was so angry she almost started cursing everyone's entire families.

"Saber, release the restraints, face them in your full form!" Everyone else was using command spells, so wouldn't it be a bit antisocial if she didn't use hers?

"Oh! Oh, oh, oh! Power is surging out!" The knocked-off leg regenerated, and the originally shattered armor suddenly manifested again, covering Mordred's entire body once it was fully restored.

"Gaaaaah—!"

Blasted Tree—!

After removing all restrictions and discharging power at full capacity, all the lightning instantly formed a tall tree of lightning, enveloping Mordred within it.

"Waaah!" Astolfo hopped and skipped, quickly escaping the area where the lightning was spreading.

Aura jumped up and intercepted the splashing lightning, protecting Daniel.

The homunculi had retreated backwards early on, reaching a safe area.

"Perhaps we should have had them choose a battle area further away from the castle," Fiore said, covering her mouth as she watched the castle walls and decorations being struck down by the lightning.

The damage had further increased.

If nothing else, after everything was over, this castle would pretty much have to be abandoned.

After all, it had been beaten into a tattered mess.

It had no value for continued maintenance.

Moreover, the barren land outside that had turned into charcoal would further devalue the surrounding property. Fiore even began to worry whether she should declare the Yggdmillennia Clan bankrupt after the battle ended.

After the lightning tree disappeared, only Artoria and Morgan among those present saw it.

A spirit particle fragment shot out from the place where Frankenstein had disappeared and entered Caules's body.

That must have been the final gift Frankenstein gave to her master.

"Damn it!" Mordred looked at her armor, which had once again become tattered, and her anger flared up.

But considering that Frankenstein had already disappeared, she could only choose to vent all this anger on Astolfo.

"Go to hell! Clarent Blood Arthur—!"

Mordred released her Noble Phantasm at Astolfo.

"Eh? That's not necessary—!" Astolfo stood up in a panic, intending to summon Hippogriff to run away.

But just as Hippogriff appeared, the red-and-black beam of light had already completely annihilated Astolfo and Hippogriff.

Astolfo didn't have time to mount it.

"…Mordred. I didn't hear you clearly when you released your Noble Phantasm just now; could you say it again?" Artoria's cold, clear voice rang in Mordred's ear.

In an instant, a chill swept through Mordred's entire body.

"Um, 'Offer applause to my respectable father'?" Mordred improvised, choosing to alter her Noble Phantasm's incantation.

"Oh? Is that so?"

With teary eyes, she nodded and nodded.

The final victor had been decided; it was the Red Faction's Saber, Mordred.

But no one present cheered for it.

Including the winning master and Servant.

Because they knew the truth.

The greater grail had long since been wrapped up by Daniel.

You really want to keep fighting over it?

That would be less fun than just eating, drinking, and being merry.

"By the way, Father, this, return it to you." As if suddenly remembering something, Mordred handed the 'Clarent' in her hand to Artoria.

"Hmm? Returning it to me?" Artoria looked at Mordred with some surprise.

"Yeah, although this thing is not bad, it's time for it to return to its owner." Mordred nodded.

"This is the sword that signifies the succession of the throne, you know," Artoria reminded her with a slight upturn of her lips.

"I know that, of course." Mordred scratched her head, feeling a bit embarrassed.

"By returning it to me, do you intend to give up the inheritance of the throne?" Artoria continued to ask.

"It was just stolen anyway… furthermore, Father, you have already abandoned your own throne, so where would I get a throne to inherit?" Mordred grinned and laughed.

Artoria considered it for a while, then took the kings sword.

In that instant, the red-and-black evil sword shone with a silver brilliance, and after the brilliance faded, it revealed its original appearance.

As Artoria flipped her palm, the kings sword disappeared from her hand.

"I have indeed taken this sword back."

"Then, as a reward for your 'growth', this is for you."

It was a shield that resembled a surfboard, with the same color scheme as the scabbard of the Sword of Promised Victory.
