After lunch, Izuku changed out of his heavy winter outfit. It was too warm to keep wearing it indoors.
"This afternoon is a regular class. If Cementoss is teaching, I should have time to finish tomorrow's math homework," he thought.
He took out his notebook and started working.
Beside him, Shoto Todoroki occasionally glanced in his direction, his expression thoughtful. On the other side, Katsuki Bakugo also kept stealing looks at him.
"That idiot… when did he…?" Bakugo muttered under his breath. "I need to figure this out."
After school, Izuku walked home at an easy pace, scrolling through his phone.
"Gran Torino… I can't find anything about him online," he said quietly. "Maybe he's one of those low-profile pros who stays out of the spotlight."
A small smile formed on his face.
"If he's going to train me, I can definitely get stronger."
He kept walking, unaware that two people were following behind him.
"…Guess it's time to check out his place," Bakugo muttered. "I want to see what he's hiding."
"If it really is him…" Todoroki thought, "then the photo I have might match."
They trailed him quietly.
"Hmm? Mom, are you heading out?" Izuku asked as he reached his front door. Inko Midoriya stepped outside carrying a bag.
"Yes, I'm going to buy groceries," she said, then noticed the two boys behind him. "Oh? Are your classmates here to visit?"
"…Classmates?"
Izuku turned around and saw them.
"Kacchan? Todoroki? What are you doing here?"
"I came to see your mom," Bakugo said, looking away.
"I wanted to thank her," Todoroki added, bowing politely. "She's helped me before."
"Hello, ma'am."
"Oh, how polite," Inko said warmly. "Izuku, why don't you show them around?"
"Okay."
Izuku led them inside.
"It's been a while since you came over, Kacchan," he said, setting the package down and handing them slippers.
"…Yeah," Bakugo replied, clearly not interested in the conversation.
"This is my first time visiting a classmate's house," Todoroki said.
"Make yourselves comfortable. I'll get something to drink. What would you like?"
"Soda."
"Water is fine."
"Got it."
Izuku headed into the kitchen.
"Midoriya," Todoroki called out, "would it be alright if we looked around a bit?"
"Sure, go ahead."
"I'll start with your room," Todoroki said.
"Don't get ahead of me!" Bakugo snapped, following right behind him.
The two of them headed straight into Izuku's room.
"What's gotten into them today…" Izuku muttered, glancing in that direction before continuing with the drinks.
"Hopefully Kacchan doesn't make a mess…"
He paused.
"…Wait."
His expression froze.
"My notebook."
A chill ran down his spine.
Please don't find it… please don't find it…
