"S-Rank..." someone whispered.
"A Savior class? Wouldn't she be stronger than all of us combined in the future?"
"All her stats are at an S Grade. Although we don't know the exact value of her stats, but even now, she must be stronger than us!"
Those who had already awakened, knew what stats actually meant.
Even though her strength and many other stats were at an S Grade, that were only respective to her level.
If someone with an A Grade in Strength was going to have ten strength points at level one, then someone with an S Grade was going to have 12 strength points at level one, if not more.
The more one levelled up, the greater this difference was going to become.
Having S Grade in Strength didn't mean her strength was invincible. But for her level, it did mean that.
Similarly, she had an A Grade in Agility. It meant she was the fastest person here, excluding those with S Grade in Agility.
Of course, levels were just as important as grades were. A Level 2 person with B grade strength might be just as fast as a Level 1 person with A Grade in Strength.
That was the rough understanding that the awakened in this world had managed to guess. They were still waiting to verify it, but they were certain that they had the basis right.
That's why they looked at Leia in amazement. As long as she could maintain her leveling pace, she might actually become the strongest person here by a large margin.
The paralyzed girl from ten minutes ago had vanished, bathed in a celestial glow that made her look like a descending goddess.
The blood and dirt on her clothes seemed to evaporate. Even Leia looked down at her hands in shock as immense. She could feel that she was clearly stronger now.
People instantly began to flock toward her, their eyes filled with a fawning gaze as they tried to get close to her.
Some even approached her and suggested making a proper group of strongest awakeners that could guide people in this tutorial to reduce some chaos.
Ian watched from the dirt, a faint smile formed on his pale lips.
Using his left hand, he pushed himself off the boulder. His legs felt heavy, and his vision was still a mess. Black spots flickering at the edges of his sight.
As everyone was paying attention to Leia, he was completely ignored and managed to reach the closest tombstone with ease.
He reached the tombstone and pressed his left palm against the cold surface.
He waited for the golden light. He waited for the warmth. He didn't ask for too much. All he wanted was a class that could let him heal his hand.
Instead, the blue runes flickered like a dying light, emitting a dull gray hue that barely illuminated the space around his hand.
A small screen popped up above him.
[Appraisal Complete]
[Name: Ian]
[Class: Gambler]
[Class Rank: F]
[Stats:]
[Strength:F]
[Agility: E]
[Vitality: F]
[Mana: F]
[Charisma: E]
The tombstone revealed his stats, but it didn't reveal all of it.
Ian was instead looking at the semi-transparent screen before him which was more detailed. There were also a few more lines in his status screen, along with an extra stat called Luck.
..........,..
[Name: Ian]
[Level:1]
[Class: Gambler]
[Class Rank: F]
[Stats:]
[Strength:F]
[Agility: E]
[Vitality: F]
[Mana: F]
[Charisma: E]
[Luck: SSS]
[Innate Skill: Absolute Coincidence]
......,.....
"Innate Skill?"
Ian looked at his screen in a daze. There was no description of the skill. There wasn't any grade attached to it either, so he couldn't be certain if it was a good skill or bad.
"Is this thing bugged? Why would all my stats be E or F, but luck would show something like that...?"
While he was lost in his own thoughts, the others have already started paying attention to him, especially since Leia had shifted her attention to him.
He was her companion, so they thought that he might do a miracle as well, but when they saw his stats, many of them burst into laughter.
Until now, the lowest was a D Grade Class. Now an F Rank had appeared?
Could the contrast be any bigger? One friend had awakened the highest class, while others had received the worst.
"What the heck is a gambler? Is he going to play cards with us here? No wonder this class is ranked F."
"Class might be representative of our real personality or our inner desires. Who knows, maybe he's a secret gambler and his urges are coming out now?"
"What a waste, even in this situation, he could only think about gambling instead of praying for a powerful class? No wonder his arm is broken. He's truly incompetent!"
Even Leia was affected by their conversation. She had also subconsciously started believing that classes might be related to someone's true personality.
She wanted to believe that even more since she had received a powerful heroic class just like her personality.
"F-Rank across the board?"
"A Gambler? That's not even a combat class..."
"And I thought my D Grade Class was bad. But this guy, he's truly pathetic."
"He might even be a burden. I'm certain he was supposed to be removed in the first purge but he survived by luck. So we are stuck with this waste now?"
"Look at his arm. He's crippled, and he has trash stats. He's dead weight."
Ian shook his head slightly. He wasn't upset at their insults. He was only upset that he didn't have any skill that could heal his dominant arm.
Even though he didn't know how Absolute Confidence worked, it was clearly not a healing skill.
He slowly turned his head to look at Leia.
She was standing among a group of newly awakened A and B-rank powerhouses who had naturally gravitated toward her light. She looked at the tombstone, and then at his bloody arm.
For a fraction of a second, before she could mask it, Ian saw it.
A flicker of hesitation. A flash of pity. And underneath it all, the creeping sense of disappointment.
"I didn't expect you to have such a disappointing inner hobby. I'm truly disappointed." She shook her head lightly.
