"Silas please take note of all the system upgrades that have taken place. Firstly, the system shop has been upgraded. I will now tailor the selection to your needs and what you can afford."

Time does not flow inside the system space. You now contain a quantum computer and an AI, me. Please give me a name."
"I will call you Hermes." Silas in his past life loved Greek myths and Hermes was one of his favorite gods due to his versatility.
"Ok Hermes is now online and at your service Silas."
"Your first task is to help me understand this book of breeding. I have a basic understanding but I need to do better."
"Host, please read through the book. You need only briefly stay on the page but make sure to actually look at it."
Silas did as Hermes asked. About an hour later, he finished with the book.He also had it download all the information on his pokenav.
Hermes now had all the basic knowledge of the pokemon world available to regular people. That and the beginners level breeding book were the current foundation.
Hermes had advised that it would take the night to fully digest the information. This was acceptable, Silas had given Hermes a lot of information to comprehend so he wasn't surprised.
The following morning, the system was finished assimilating all the new information. The first order of business Silas had was the creation of poffins and berries tailor made to his pokemon. Hermes explained that poffins are for healing and pokeblocks were for energy.
The poffins would purify a pokemons constitution and pokeblocks would stimulate the pokemons innate power to bring it to the next level. The combination of these 2 effects can increase potential.
The first thing Hermes designed was a poffin for Froakie. It would require several types of berries, a revival herb, and some energy powder. Silas was ecstatic to find out that Hermes could take control of Silas for poffin and pokeblock making.
Silas purchased a low grade Energy Powder from the system shop. All the BP Silas earned while the system was updating were retroactively added. He had 210 BP. The energy powder cost 200 now and he had seen it once for 40 BP. Everything was significantly more expensive since the upgrade.
Hermes successfully produced 3 poffins with the ingredients on hand. Silas quickly fed one to Froakie and he could visibly see it improving. Hermes monitored everything. It let Silas know that Froakie's potential was still F+ but the remaining 2 poffins should push it into D territory.
Silas trusted Hermes' judgement and it paid off. Froakie successfully stabilized at D- potential. Hermes estimated that Froakie originally had a very high potential but he couldn't give an accurate grade. It should be atleast B though.
Madam watched curiously as Froakie ate Silas' concoction.
"Did you make that from scratch?" She asked in surprise.
"Yeah I can officially say I am a low level breeder." Silas laughed loudly, he felt great. The system upgrade was extremely useful, he felt like nothing could stop him now.
Madam let Silas enjoy the moment. Suddenly, a group of 7 pokemon appeared. There were 2 Jolteon, 2 Flareon, 2 Vaporeon and 1 Espeon. Silas scanned them all and was very surprised.
They were all level 65 and had potentials ranging from B to A-. The leading Flareon was the one with A- potential. The craziest thing was that this Flareon knew Sacred Fire and its mastery was A.
The pokemon weren't hostile but they were definitely pushy. The Espeon communicated telepathically saying that they didn;t have to move but do not enter the upper part of the mountain for the next week.
Considering the surprisingly courteous pokemon's request, Silas and Madam obliged.
Unbeknownst to them, a man and a Venomoth watched this exchange then teleported away. Espeon and Arcanine both looked in the direction of where they were.
"Seems like we aren't alone on this mountain." Madam looked ominous as she said these words. It was obvious that whoever was spying on them was an enemy to be wary of.
They had to be skilled. They stayed out of range of Arcanine's nose and the natural senses of all the pokemon.
A little lower on the mountain in a specious cave, the ninja and Venomoth materialized.
"I couldn't even leave behind a nearby psychic marker, that was too close.:
Venomoth had sensed Espeon trying to lock onto its position which was why they escaped when they did.
"Master Shin, there are lightning bolts dropping from the sky and explosions along the mountainside."
"It's probably the eeveelution pokemon I saw dealing with those that didn't heed their warnings. We will wait a few days before making a move."
Further up the mountain, Silas and Madam were having a similar conversation debating on if they should truly give up scaling the rest of the mountain.
They adopted a wait and see approach, similar to the ninjas.
Training continued normally for the next few days. Dragonair and Madam finally bonded fully as trainer and pokemon. Monferno acted as a negotiator between the 2. Now that Monferno had mastered its aura power further, it could communicate clearly with Silas due to their bond.
So with Monferno and Silas as the go-between, Madam understood Dragonair's goal. It came from a clan of dragon pokemon that lived on a secluded island.
There, it was widely known that to evolve and stimulate ones bloodline further, you must not evolve as soon as you can. One must be patient and consolidate their maximum power before evolving. It wanted to reach level 65 before evolving.
This pokemon, while powerful, needed heavy investment of time and resources to evolve. Madam still decided to agree to help.
When it matures in the future, the Dragonite will be a king among other dragons, definitely worth the wait. Also Dragonair now was by no means weak.

While Madam and Dragonair bonded, Silas realized a potential clue to what is currently going on. He asked Hermes what it knew about Ho-oh and the pokemon it revived and turned into the Legendary Beasts.
"When lightning consumed Ecruteak's tower and three Pokémon perished, Ho-Oh descended in sorrow. With sacred fire it revived them as Raikou, Entei, and Suicune—avatars of storm, flame, and rain."
"Take into account what we've seen with the group of powerful eeveelutions of the same type as the Legendary Beasts. What do you hypothesize is going on here?"
"It is possible that the Legendary Beasts and or Ho-oh are gathering here. It is also plausible to conclude that the pokemon before transformation were the same eeveelution types from earlier today."
Hermes agreed with Silas' thought process but they had no way of confirming suspicions.
They set out that morning back into the caves. Madam assumed the eeveelutions would only be concerned about outside, not inside the mountain. Jolteon had led the way everyday using Flash and today was no different.
The deeper they ventured into the caves, the stronger the pokemon got.Today, they were venturing into uncharted territory so they were extra careful. Trouble still found them.
A large group of Donphan attacked them. The leader was at level 55 with a C+ potential. Dragonair made short work of them using a combination of Aqua Tail and Extremespeed. Madam expertly caught the group of Donphan.
Following the path of an underground river, they continued on their path in the cave.
Things got extremely tough when they encountered a clan of the Geodue family lead by a level 68 Golem. The terrifying thing about these Golem is that they could use explosion without being incapacitated after.
The Golem had chased the group all over the cave. Unknowingly Silas had ventured deep into Mount Silver.
