Chapter 10 - <<The Association>>

The sterile beeping of the hospital monitor was the only sound in the quiet room. Jin-Hyuk sat upright, staring out the window at the city skyline beyond. The nurse entered quietly, checking the IV drip, then offering a reassuring smile. "You're all set to go, Jin-Hyuk. Your family is here to pick you up."

He nodded, standing slowly, stretching out the stiffness. His muscles felt both powerful and tender—an aftereffect of the intense training, the awakening, and the battles he'd fought. He was stronger now, more aware of his power than ever before.

Moments later, the door swung open, and Jin-Hyuk's mother stepped inside, her face lined with worry but her eyes shining with hope. Behind her, his younger brother, Jin-Soo, carried a small bag, looking eager but cautious.

"Jin-Hyuk-ahhh," his mother said softly, rushing to his side and embracing him gently. "Lets go home."

Jin-Hyuk returned her hug, a faint smile touching his lips. "I'm fine, Mom. It's good to see you."

His mother stepped back, her gaze flickering over him as if trying to memorize every detail. "You've come so far."

Jin-Soo, the younger sibling, grinned nervously. "Let's go home, hyung. I got your favorite—kimchi stew and some snacks. You must be starving." Jin-Hyuk chuckled softly. "Thanks, Joon. I'll eat like a king."

As they prepared to leave, the nurse handed Jin-Hyuk a small bag containing his belongings. The sun was shining brightly outside, and the air felt different—more alive, more intense.

The car that awaited them was an imposing sight—a sleek, black luxury sedan with tinted windows, gleaming under the sunlight. The chauffeur stepped out, opening the door for them, and Jin-Hyuk's family entered quietly.

The engine purred smoothly as they pulled away from the hospital. Jin-Hyuk gazed out the window, contemplating the journey ahead. His body was healing, but his mind was racing with thoughts—about his power, his future, and the strange new world that awaited him.

Suddenly, the car slowed, then pulled over to the side of the road. Jin-Hyuk looked up, confused. Through the tinted windows, he could see a convoy of similar black luxury cars, their headlights idling, waiting like predators in the shadows.

Then, a figure stepped out from one of the cars—tall, confident, radiating an aura that seemed to fill the entire street. The man was dressed in a tailored, dark suit, his hair perfectly styled.

His presence was undeniable—a wall of calm authority that demanded attention. The air around him seemed to shimmer with power, as if the very atmosphere responded to his command.

Jin-Hyuk's mother looked at the man, her expression shifting from curiosity to a mixture of awe and apprehension. "Is that…?"

Before she could finish, the car's doors opened again, and another figure stepped out—Agent Kim. The familiar face from earlier, dressed in a dark suit, his expression serious but respectful.

"Hunter Jin-Hyuk," Agent Kim nodded, giving a slight bow. "It's good to see you again."

The tall man, approached the vehicle with deliberate grace. His gaze swept over Jin-Hyuk's family, then settled on Jin-Hyuk himself. His presence was almost overwhelming, yet he exuded a calm, unshakable confidence.

"Ah,Hunter Jin-Hyuk," Kang Do-Yun's voice was deep and smooth, carrying a subtle authority. "I'm The Hunters' Association President—Kang Do-yun," he said, reaching out his arm.

Jin-Hyuk regarded him carefully, sensing the immense power that radiated from him. "Anyone in South Korea would be crazy to not know you." he said, greeting back.

"Please, come inside," Jin-Hyuk said, gesturing to the house with a slight nod. "I believe you came here with purpose Sir."

They entered the sprawling mansion—Jin-Hyuk showed agent Kim and Association President Kang Do-Yun to the living room, where they sat quietly, the tension palpable.

Jin-Hyuk gestured for Kang Do-yun to sit at a sleek, dark wood table. "Please, make yourself comfortable," he said softly.

He then turned to his mother. "Mom, can you prepare something to drink? Jin-Soo, help her, please."

His mother nodded quickly, excusing herself to the kitchen. Jin-Soo followed, eager but somewhat nervous.

Jin-Hyuk and Kang Do-yun were alone now, the silence stretching between them like a taut wire.
