Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Birth

That night did not begin like any ordinary night within the mansion of the Voldi Godo family, one of the strongest families in the world. Silence filled the vast corridors, and the guards stood firmly in their positions, yet something unseen had begun to seep into the air… a heavy feeling, as if the world itself had slowed down.

Inside one of the rooms, a woman was about to give birth, while the midwife struggled to maintain her composure despite the growing unease in her chest. She glanced around more than once before whispering, almost afraid to be heard:

"This pressure… it's not normal."

No one needed confirmation. Everyone felt it. The candles along the walls flickered without wind, the curtains shifted slowly as if something was passing through them, and even the guards outside exchanged tense looks. One of them placed a hand over his chest, trying to steady his breathing.

Then, without warning, it happened.

The air itself cracked.

It was not light from outside, nor a reflection of anything familiar. It was as if the very space within the room had split open, revealing a thin white line that slowly widened. The temperature dropped sharply, then surged upward, before everything froze in a strange instant—as though time itself had paused to witness what was about to occur.

The light emerged first.

But it was not warm.

It was cold, sharp… alive.

And then, from within that fracture, a child appeared.

He did not fall. He descended slowly, as if something unseen was guiding him, until he rested gently in the midwife's arms. At that exact moment, everything vanished. The air returned to normal, the candles stilled, and the world resumed as if nothing had happened.

But the truth remained.

In her hands.

The midwife looked at the child, expecting a cry… but none came. No sound, no struggle. He simply opened his eyes.

Golden eyes.

Clear. Steady.

Not the eyes of a newborn.

There was no confusion. No fear.

Only awareness.

Inside that small body… the mind was complete.

"So… this is the first world."

It was not a passing thought, but a clear realization. He did not question what had happened—he understood it. He had not died.

He had been moved.

Reborn.

He observed everything in silence, without moving his body. He didn't need to. Watching was enough.

The midwife hesitated before speaking in a low voice:

"This child… is strange."

She could not finish her sentence. A sudden, unsettling sensation crept through her, as if the child's gaze had passed through her entirely. It was not fear, not exactly… but something that made her freeze.

At that moment, the door opened.

A man entered calmly, yet his presence alone shifted the atmosphere. It was clear he was no ordinary figure—he carried the weight of the family itself. He looked at the child in silence before stepping closer.

"A child… born into the Voldi Godo family."

His voice was quiet, but heavy.

The child—Neuro—lifted his gaze and met his eyes directly. There was no fear. Not even curiosity.

Just a steady look… as if he were evaluating him.

The man paused.

For the first time, something felt off.

He could not explain it.

But he felt it.

As for Neuro, he remained silent, observing. This world was new, but its rules were already beginning to form in his mind.

Slowly, he closed his eyes, as if everything that had happened was nothing more than a simple beginning.

Deep within him, one thought stood clear:

"At least… this won't be boring.
