'Why?'
'Forget!'
'Your Will'
'WHY?'
Lee, Adam and Mary cut down the trees. They were slowly moving away from the bigger tree. Mary's mind was stronger than the other two, and so was the last to forget why they were still cutting the trees. Lee had fallen first to the ground by being hit by a fast branch, still breathing. Adam had fallen to his knee, tired and his mind slowly giving out, but not ready to fall.
Lesser was carving the rune of flames on a branch. His mind was losing focus. 'Why was I carving… no focus fool, focus!'. Lesser trying to keep his mind and soul focus, taking his [Stalwart Chisel], not having much choice, he then stabbed himself on the left arm. The pain made his mind scream, but it did make him remember why he was carving. Now focused, he carved with his blood covered [Stalwart Chisel].
'Flame to burn, flame to kill. A FIRE TO BURN THESE TREES DOWN!'
The [Stalwart Chisel] dances around the branch, his blood flowing the carved areas. It was moving fast. His arm moved like it was possessed. The runes on the branch were manly, but one of the carvings began to spell, 'Spread a flame, that will not stop'. Lesser felt warm coming to him and something was draining from him.
The branch began to smoke where he had carved. Slowly at the start it began to take on fire. Seeing this he ran forward, he had not moved from that direction Mary had pointed to, not once. Getting close to the remaining trees, he threw it so far he could. It landed on the closet tree. When the branch that had now been fully covered in flames touched it. It had exploded on the tree, the flames spread fast around it.
The flame spread fast, jumping between the trees, like plague. Mary, seeing the flames spreading fast to where they were, screams at Adam to run. Picking up Lee, with her remaining will, she ran.
Leaving the forest of flames, she saw Lesser focus, like he had formed a form of clarity.
"Flame so bright it thought it was a star, it danced not knowing it had burned. Calling it a fire was insulting, it saw itself as a flame of life. It only burned all it saw, corrupt that was after its desire."
Mary heard what sounded like a poem, coming from Lesser. The trees were burning. They shouldn't burn to death, but the flame never stops burning. Like an endless dance that burns everyone who was in its way. Once the bigger tree had the flame land on it, everyone felt their mind becoming clearer.
The feeling was like a voice, screaming in pain, in anger. It was like it was asking why they had not forgotten and going to the endless rest. They flame burn without help, not stopping. Lesser felt his essence draining fast, from caving the runes. He passed out standing. Mary fell to the ground, with Lee, too tired to stand. Her eyes closing, she fell asleep. Adam was standing still, breathing in. Looking around, he saw only flames burning everything. With a happy voice he said.
"Look like a standing guard first then."
***
It had taken everyone some time to wake up. It was Lee who woke up first, looking around. Still feeling the pain from almost dying, he looked down at his body to see white sap placed around his body. Now looking up to see that the tree that they were fighting had gone missing, but further away, there were many trees that were on fire. His mind slowly thinking back, like a storm of memoirs of him being affected, and speaking like he had no filter.
"Finally, one of you guys is awake."
Lee was jolted up, turning around to see Adam sitting on a log, looking on a campfire. In his hand stick, piecing an fruit, grilling it over the fire.
"How long was i–"
"Ah…"
Mary opened her eyes, like she had not slept well. Looking up she saw Lee standing over her. He scratched his hand to her, she took it and stood up. Looking around to see the flames on the trees were moving away, only leaving ash and firewood behind. She turns to Adam and asks.
"Did you finish it off?"
"Yeah, and for your question Lee, about six hours."
Mary walked to Adam and sat down at the end of the log. Lee sat down close, but not on the log.
"So… how are we feeling?"
Mary looks at Lee, her face now pink.
"Horrified of how much I said."
"Same"
Adam lifted the grilled fruit and offered it to Lee. Placing a second fruit on it and began to grill it. His face is calm and shows no emotions. Mary asks now to calm down.
"What happens after I fainted?"
"Not much. The trees burned to death about two hours ago. The big one was still standing, heavily burned, but still standing. I do not want to get close, throw my memory at it. After missing about five times, it finally died."
Turning over the fruit. Summing a memory.
"It turns out, it was an Awakened Demon. We really have Bad Luck, but I did get a memory from it. With an interesting description to it."
"We can wait for Les to wake up."
"Les?"
Lee asks, knowing who Adam was talking about.
"Ask Mary, she said it first."
"His name is too long, and… I was about to forget his name."
The guys look at her. The memory that Adam summoned, finally took form. It was a scorching branch that had a flame on top of it. It was floating around Adam, dancing happily. It had carving text on it, that was red in color, but they all knew it was Lesser blood.
***
Everyone was now sitting around the campfire. Lesser had woken up some minutes from the rest of them, but it took him longer to lose the horror in his face. He now knows more of the flaw did to him. It not only made him learn when someone spoke the truth, but also made him more willing to speak the truths, and the tree did not help with it. After some time he looked at Mary, remembering that she still had not said her flaw.
"So, Mary… What i–"
"It splits my soul. It has only shown so far that I have that my emotions are now in different pieces in my soul, making me have mood swings."
"Good to know… so, what now leader?"
Lee looked at Lesser, then turned to Mary and Adam. Not ready to move, but knew that they had to move soon.
"First let's absorb some soul shards. Then inspect our belongings and move somewhere."
Lee had dropped around hundred soul shards on the floor. It had not been all the shards that they had, but it was more than half of it. Lee looked around, there were more shards everywhere around them if they looked, in the ashes of trees.
"Les, how many new memories have you got, from the flames i mean."
"The Spell is still speaking, but no new memories."
"Then Adam, Lee, let Les look at each of our memories. "
Lesser look at them, 'Don't, Please no.', but it was too late. Everyone of them had agreed with it, not all happily, from Adam and Mary, but they did agree.
So Lesser had many memories to look through. Mary's memorised first, but the guy's face forced to look away. Her first memory was her armor. It was an ascended, tier II. Its description was of a man talking to the girl, about their lives as a sky watches. The memory had two enchantments, both active. One lets the user hover, and the other controls the wind.
The second memory was her repair, had two passive enchantments, one let it deal soul damage to only monster class nightmare creatures, and the other only was triggered if it killed some monster. Its description was about why it was forged and that the weapon meant to kill a monster, but the monster had its name stolen. The last memory had shade more information on this place.

Lesser then look at his memory, [Blessing of Avenli]'s description.
