I sagged against the wardrobe, every ounce of strength drained out of me. My hands were shaking, the black lines beneath my sleeves were pulsing with a dull, persistent ache.
"I see you still haven't ended things with Jennifer," Morwen started, arching a brow at me.
"You see how she is with me," I sighed. "I've tried, Morwen, but she won't let go."
"So, sleeping with her has helped?"
"We've not been intimate for a while now, so relax. We've talked about it, and she knows we can never go back to how it was in the beginning."
"Whatever works for you, Your Grace," Morwen scoffed. "Just know that the more you indulge her, the harder it'll be to break away. Now that you have a wife, you should focus on her and not your mistress. By the way, you have approximately two hours before your body gives out again, except, of course, you get some form of reinforcement from your wife."
"By reinforcement, what do you mean?"
