"Still not done crying?" Ethan sighed as he looked at Olivia still curled up on his bed, her shoulders trembling beneath the blanket.
Several hours had already passed since they returned from the gala. Ethan had no choice but to drag Olivia back to his apartment after she became increasingly emotional and irrational from drinking far too much wine.
He had practically hauled her out before she could create an even bigger disaster.
"Oh, fantastic," he muttered, rubbing his forehead.
"You embarrassed yourself enough tonight. I know you're upset, but try controlling yourself next time."
Olivia remained curled beneath the blanket, clutching it tightly like a little girl mourning the loss of her favorite toy.
"Olivia," Ethan called again.
With visible reluctance, he walked over and grabbed her shoulder, forcing her to face him.
"Stop crying already and go to sleep."
